Great finds, I use Landolakes whipped butter that is only 50 mg of salt per serving. I also found unsalted saltines, krogers brand and the salt is only 55 mg for 5 crackers. As for boar's head meats they have a no salt turkey breast which is awesome! The Low sodium you mentioned is good. Thanks for all you share with us :)

Yeah I’d love to see what low sodium items you get. I’ve been ckg many items comparing sodium contents. I found English muffins with 107 mg as opposed to 240 mg. Ketchup with low sodium & sugar. I Ck the breads too. You can find lower sodium breads.

I would like to gently suggest that because something says low sodium only compares it to the regular salt-laden version of the same food. That should not be our high water mark for low sodium fare. What eating low sodium foods do is keep us addicted to that salt taste. It will not help us wean off of the salty expectation when we put food in our mouth. And as long as we keep expecting salt in any amount, we are not winning the battle. I watched a video today on how salt interacts with cortisol, the fat-making hormone in our bodies. It also interacts with sugars in our system. Nature does not make sodium in high amounts in nature. Only in the sea does it do this. Salt deposits were laid down by oceans that have long since dried up. When we put any salt in our food, we are catering to a taste sensation that got us into trouble to begin with. If you don't believe this, think about how many potato chips you would eat if there was NO salt on them. How many hot dogs would you eat if all the salt was taken out and it was also taken out of the mustard, out of the bread, out of the ketchup. Flat tasting food, for sure. We don't overeat on food that simply tastes like what it is. Animals don't keep eating until they get so fat they can barely walk, if the food is in it's natural state and not processed. Salt is the hidden cause of obesity. Salt and sodium (of which there are many kinds). Eat whole foods, read labels on absolutely everything, and if salt is added, avoid it. Your taste will change in a couple of days. I'm doing it. You can too. Get saltless butter, use ghee (delicious), vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and my favorite, whole fruit jelly with no sugar (or use a dollop of honey). Even that is overpowering when your taste changes. Stewed or raw fruit on the side gives extra dimension. Your appetite will come under control really fast. Food feels different in the stomach without all that salt in there, which I suspect makes the stomach not as able to "feel" it there, so we don't feel full. Without the salt, you will feel the food.

Himalayan Salt -- It can be ingested, used as a salt alternative without adding sodium to your diet. Why does the medical field hide this information from us?
