Congratulations for writing, producing, directing, and editing a scene for Game of Thrones, then posting it to UA-cam. You have so much to be proud of.

No final showdown between Jon Snow vs. Night King. At this point we were robbed, folks.

Bro night kings fear jon snow... because he was very well aware of his sword ..it was just a Swing of Jon's sword and night King would be in dust.. that's why night king never face jon In 1-1 combat

Yeah wtf, I remember the stare down they had in S5. I thought "Shits about go down when they next meet" nope some girl has to do it
HBO may have aired it but I’d put the blame more pm the writers for what you’ve mentioned.
That’s what we get with a feminist driven agenda by Hollywood.
3 seasons, don't get dramatic.
They didn't even call him The Night King til season 6.
I think about this all the time. We waited 8 seasons and THAT WAS WHAT WE GOT?!
They need to make a theatrical movie to fix this ending
@Saleem Frazer book is better.. oh.. wait..
No need we're already traumatized!
Easily, just star again at season 2, where Dany was still dreaming in Undying House. All seasons after season 2, was a dream of Dany.
@@huemaj we will most likely never see the books
I just want an animated version start to finish, or atleast Season 5-8
The battle of Castle Black felt like the peak of Jon’s arc of becoming a leader. I was hoping to see Jon LEAD during this battle but he gets like 2 lines and doesn’t interact with anyone. Should’ve been a Jon Snow speech to the army of winterfell to start the battle. Seeing characters like Jaime follow Jon’s orders would be so emotional.

Could have been the best series ever if it wasnt for the ending!
It was falling apart by Season 6. It felt increasingly rushed so D&D could focus on new projects.
It was a gamble, but GOT could've at least tried to be stretched to 12 seasons; people would've waited, the actor would've, and maybe the book would've been out in 2025 lol. And everyone would've made more money.

I may have a theory that I can answer this. The night King in New of his demise because of his connection to bran and avoided his fate at all costs causing a new future not one set in stone. The moment he walked away from John he could not see his fate pass that moment
Now that's what I call having bodyguards!!!!! Night King was like, don't even think about it buddy!!!! I rolls DEEP!!!!!!😂😂😂
*THIS IS THE MOMENT THE EPISODE NEEDED TO END*
Looking like all hope was lost. jon separated from Rhegal and surrounded by Death. Dany’s Dragonfire did nothing. Dothraki are gone, Unsullied feeling fear, Northman and main characters dreading what comes next and the White Walkers Enter the Castle.
Then 8x4 Picks up with Dany & Drogon saving Jon but I would like to think that Rhegal saves him since it would show the two start to form a bond. And then a straight cut off to the White Walkers actually killing main characters. Podrick, Tormund, Davos, Beric, and hell maybe even Brienne.
Ugh Winter should have at least been two episodes…
All those white walkers walking in together just to see night king kill reek,,, ahh
Never seeing them in actual combat or learning more about the entire focus of the show’s marketing for years before he got shattered - brilliant!

So you're telling me someone could've just had dragonglass arrows and killed the night king then and there without him even noticing?
That's actually how I imagined it, someone shooting three arrows in quick succession. He catches two, then the third hits.
the power of cutting scenes for characters to survive is the most broken meta in television
The Night King remembered Jon killing his friend at Hardhome. He knew he could potentially lose against Jon and chose this cowardly method😂
Why? The battle had already ended and the white walkers had won, he was only one man and the night king's objective was almost completed so...
This just goes to show that the Night King was actually threatened by Jon. He's only one man, and given They already have beef you'd think the Night King would want to kill him personally. But he doesn't risk it

But barely anyone recognizes that, the fans of this show are about as bad as the fucking losers that sit down and play D&D

00:38 is where the show officially ends in my brain. Imagine the possibilities after this…
It has been 5 years and GRRM still hasn't finished the books
One thing i always loved about the night king and the white walkers is that they are never egotistic. The guy was able to one shot a dragon, you'd think he'll be able to handle jon snow if he wanted. But why bother? Let's just respawn an entire army, he's not here to duel anyone. That makes him so much more terrifying: he wont make dumb mistakes.
Well... at least he wont make dumb mistakes until the last 10 minutes of the episode. For the rest of the show he was a tactical genius.
If this show still had integrity, Jon Snow would've died right there.
if you had any brains, you'd still be stupid
If the show did, he would've stayed dead.
wrong. that would be an anticlimactic ending
Even worse than not seeing Jon and the NK fight, is seeing the NK's other white walkers do anything aside from sit on their horses and then stroll up to the gate and then just appear in the woods , like they really should have been shown killing their own fair share with the having their own magical strength as when Jon got his ass nearly handed to him by one at Hardhome.
0:29 at this moment i was like, things are about to go nuts, but then d&d put sh*t on my face!
Jon has no fear about Night king but king was pissed when he saw Jon 😂😂😂
Night king did not want that smoke😂
Jon Snow, the one who fears nothing because he also the one who knows nothing.
8 seasons building up to Jon snow aka Azor Ahai fighting and beating the night king, do we get a badass 1v1? no, we get dead men just standing in his way and magic wizard arya getting the kill, jon doesnt even need to kill him but at least let him fight.
The Stark siblings could've both had the glory. Jon 1v1'ing the Night King but over time, unable to press the attack and he starts losing the fight. Just as the Night King is about to end him, THEN you can chuck Arya in there somewhere

Jon and the night king sword fighting amongst fire and hundreds of dead bodies would’ve been epic
I was so hyped when the white walkers came in. We saw the wights and then I thought it was time for the white walkers. But they didn't do anything
Okay, how about this :
First we have The Night King vs Jon Snow... fight with their sword, it is an epic battle, until Jon Snow kick The Night King, as he fall, drogon with Dany flying above him and Drogon burns The Night King, we know it doesn't work, but still, the flame is there, then because of it The Night King doesn't see when Jon Snow flying stabs him in the heart. As the Night King shattered into piece of ice, Jon Snow armor burn with fire, but, because of he is a targaryen he doesn't burned.... Dany shocked... and it is the ending for episode 3.
We have everything.... ice and fire ♡

The Battle of the Bastards spoiled fans for giving them exactly what they had in their heads for a showdown.
Really NO other TV show has done something like that before or since.
Imagine this right, final battle night king is walking, but in the distance he sees Jon, instead of raising the dead, they have a long and dualistic fight, much more skilled than Ser Arthur dayne Vs Ned and just as the night king has the upper hand, Arya comes in from behind and tries to stab him, only to be caught by the night king but then Jon stabs him in the back with long claw…
maybe that feels like Eowyn and Merry vs Witch King, but yes, that will be more epic that te actual ending of the Night King
I would have accepted this
Also Arya dies
Sure. But I think the point is that you can’t go 1 on 1 with the Knight King. Jon was making a suicide run-dash. The NK would’ve taken Jon one-on-one at anytime and dispatched of him in short work. I’m not saying Arya killing him was the best solution but it would cheapen the NK if Jon could last even a few seconds with him in a one-on-one battle.
well he knew one touch by that valryian steel sword he was fucked sooooo....
I wish Jon, Jorah, Brienne, and Jamie would’ve fought the Night King with their Valyrian swords
Should’ve been Jon vs. Night King and Jorah, Brienne, and Jaime going against the white walkers
We were ROBBED of a final fight between Jon and the Night King. Such wasted potential....
This could have been one of the best fights on tv
"Let me tell you about the long night.
It's a short story."
That shot of the white walkers approaching was awesome. The music & cinematography in this episode were just spectacular. Yeah it was a bit dark but the opening literally gave me anxiety waiting for the attack. Didn’t love the Arya twist but it was a surprise. I just can’t bring myself to hate on this episode like so many.
It’s stupid how they slowly walk towards him. Most of the time they just run.
We all wanted a jon vs night king
Most cheat code super power villain ever
One thing I’ve noticed between Jon and The Night King…they never say a word. Just stare at each other…as if The Night King knows Jon’s soul and Jon is trying to pay attention to every detail of The Night King by looking into his eyes.
Never any words spoken, just a feeling that this is their destiny. To battle each other till only one is victorious…because only one can prevail.
I know how the show goes, and it could’ve had an epic scene between Jon and The Night King fighting one on one till Jon is nearly defeated and The Night King shows no sign of fatigue…then Arya comes out of no where with her finishing strike to save Jon from death and Bran from being turned into an undead warg. Theon doing his best to protect Bran while dying in the process, but weakening The Night King with a dragon glass pierce to the ribcage…now that would’ve been something we as fans could handle.
Yeah. It’s a shame the ending could’ve been better just with some minor changes like the one you proposed
I had forgotten about this. There's no way Jon Snow (or anyone else) could survive this number of wights. It'd make much more sense (and much less heroical) for Jon Snow to quickly retreat and run like a madman away from it all.
That moment when you realise that in the whole series Jon never comes within ten meters of the Night King.
I’m pumped for the new series, I hope they take it as serious, even better quality, such a good story, hard to catch on at first, but when you do it’s amazing. All the side story’s of character development, amazing series one of the best.
It’s shit
so far so good!
The Night King reminded me of the Necromancer faction in Heroes 3 Magics and Mights. The greatest game ever
This battle should have been like 3 EP, the night king should have stayed back and raised all the dead, and make everyone realize it's not a game, basically if you die you're mine, he should've left winterfell and just marched to kings landing and have guerilla battles along the way
Exactly winter lasted one night what a joke he should’ve pushed all the way south
Your main plot dies if you do that.
Crushed by Lannisters in the south and crushed by the Night King in the North, destined to die.
Try again. The way it went was the only way it could've gone
NK in 3rd episode: "You thought this was a game, but you were so wrong. This is a TV show!"
@@StefanConstantinDumitrache lol
The setup here and the actual cinematography is actually so good for an epic fight between them. But nooooooo
I wish the name of this title would be, "Jon Snow Fighting The Knight King," but we know D&D couldn't let that happen...
*Its bad enough he died in a single stab.*
*Its worse knowing Jon never had a final battle to the death.*
*It laughable knowing the ice in my fridge is harder to break than him.🤣*
Jon would've 1 shotted him.
Arya and Jon both had Valaryian Steel.
You people are incredibly dense.
@@CUbanageNT_24 People are dense for pointing out clear bad and unsatisfying writing??
*Sigh* Those epic 1v1s are cool and all, but they get boring
I kind of wish there was a fight between the night king and Jon where Jon got knocked out but the night king was distracted by the dragon so Jon does not die, but hey, it is good that Arya ended the night king
One can only hope that George Martin will actually finish the last book and give us the ending we deserve.
he might complete winds of winter, no fucking way a dream of spring
Just think, they went to all the trouble to get Jon in this position with the night king just to not have a final fight because they “wanted to avoid the unexpected”
The night king saw jon killed his commander. He knew he would lose the fight
Theon should have had a chance to abandon Bran, but instead refused to run even when the night king approached. After being mortally wounded, he should have killed the night king before dying.
In my opinion, both Jon & Theon deserved their fair shake at the Night King. I think Theon somehow holding off the NK, maybe even wounding him in the process, before Jon can deliver the final blow would've been good for both their characters stories.
@@azzurriblue65
I think Jaime should’ve killed the Night King for 3 reasons:
1. His arc would’ve come full circle, he threw Bran out the window at the beginning and saved his life at the end.
2. His ‘Kingslayer title’ also would’ve been a good bit of irony. For years it had been a mocking title reminding him of how he broke his oath, but after he kills the Night King the title is said out of respect for Jaime rather than mocking him.
3. Would’ve added semblance to that pointless wight hunt in Season 7. That plot was so stupid and even after sacrificing one dragon and a healer, it meant nothing because Cersei didn’t help them. Jaime was only there because of the wight hunt though so him killing The Night King would’ve made that plot actually matter.
@@darkfire7660 I wouldn't have hated that either. Basically any character on a redemption arc sounds good lmao. I actually don't HATE the idea of Arya doing it given her whole "god of death" saga, but it just felt so out of the blue...no real build up. All reward with no risk.
Watching Hardhome after this is a joke. The stare down Jon and NK had was never paid off
This is the 1st time watching this scene ever since it aired. And it still hurts knowing arya is the one that kills him. Fuck im depressed again.
I too disappointed but atleast there should be a fight between jon and night king..
@@sripathysworld412 in the new upcoming series yeah I hope they can fix that
Expectations: subverted.
Would have been amazing if just as NK was about to finish raising them Jon swings at him, both clashing together and the dead all drop, dead again lol.
As for me, this is quite logical, if John ran up and defeated him in a sword fight, everyone would shout "why didn't the Night King resurrect the corpses?"
I agree. But the audience deserved a 1 on 1 between Jon Snow and the Night King sooner or later. Maybe not in this scene, but later in the episode. And if not a 1 on 1, we the very least deserved to see the Night King fight. He's a got damn semi-god that've been alive for thousands of years, it would've been so cool to see him handle his sword. Everyone wanted to see that. Plus he was played by a stuntman with incredible sword skills. The show runners gave us nothing of that.
Actually criminal how Jon wasn't the one to put down the Night King but was in fact D&D's favourite mary sue.
Great scene. Now imagine this show would’ve been good still, seeing our favorite characters team up. And imagine actually being afraid for them dying. And imagine actually seeing them with blue eyes. But no, we got shells of their formers selfs with plotarmor.

In the books there is no Night King. The series is A Song of Ice and Fire. Dany is Shown a vision in Storm of Swords of her brother and a women with a baby, and her brother playing a lute writing a song, and cryptically say ' his is a song of ice and fire'. Ive been saying since 2004 that it was Jon Snow.
It might be that there is a Night King but they didn't reveal him yet in the books. The show went ahead of the books at about season 3 - 4.
Pretty sure the show went ahead after A Dance with Dragons when Jon is killed by the Nights watch, which is how book 5 ends.
@@orest_4thhorseman The show slowly started cutting out parts of the books after season 1. They made a choice after season 1 to cut more and more until eventually they had bypassed a lot of material and they started inventing new material.
The introduction of the Night King could have been one such invention or it could be something planned for the books and perhaps they simply skipped ahead to the Night King.
Its really quite dissapointing they cut so much from the books. Aside from the three core characters, it dosen't feel like the same material of the books.
They botched this moment so terribly…as soon as the night king turned around they could’ve gave Jon some epic pre battle dialogue, and we could’ve heard the night king finally speak to him while circling one another before having an epic duel…but no…they let fucking Arya kill him after doing this and summoning already dead wights…lol. What a ball drop man. The tension would’ve been palpable building up to the fight they spent basically 8 seasons eluding to.
It could be the best show of the history...
Canny believed we never got a fight between them. Would have been so much better if Arya jumped in to save Jon from the night king instead of Jon having a screaming match with vicerion. Absolute shitshow, like perfect opportunity to have Jon, Brianne, Jamie, the hound, tormund, and the unsullied commander (can’t remember his name) going head to head against the walkers generals
I feel like the night king right here whenever I play a Rise of the dark realms after someone bored wipes in MTG.
This should have been the fight. Night King vs Wolf/Dragon. Damn it
This is awesome
Here is my theory..
The night King was supposed to die fighting Jon and a one-on-one in that very moment. Ending it once and for all. And it would have been done with the dagger. When brand decided to give the dagger to Aria he took a gambling risk that she would be the one to have it in the moment she needed it. Basically the event of him fighting Jon doesn't happen Arya needs it but in the event that it does happen Jon needs it. The night King knows that Jon is the one that put him down in that moment if he fights him. He knows because of how he's connected to Bran. He can see moments of the past present and future. So instead of an epic battle between the two the night King was too afraid of John in that moment and decided bran was more important which ultimately LED his demise because bran but his money on Aria and the night King. And then eventually acquired the throne. The man's been playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers.
This scene was literally the biggest c*ck tease in the history of television…..and we all got blue balled
Well put
How did you all like this show? This is like the 5th clip I've seen and I'm still trying to figure out what the fighting looks like
Yes cuz we wanted Jon to run to the Night King, have a starring contest and then do nothing for the rest of the series
Somewhere in Westeros. Probably in the Westerlands.
Night King Apologist: Jon Snow is endangering us all. We need to make concessions to, and find a diplomatic solution with the Night King to avoid a war.
Jon vs the Night King should have been an epic 1v1 duel. This final season really robbed us.
This scene is awesome and sad at the same time. God damn it stupid D&D.
If this show hadn't lost its spine, the North would have lost this battle. Jon and Dany would have fled to King's Landing on Drogon, and the dead would have marched to King's Landing. Jon and Dany would have arrived at KL like paupers having lost everything. Cersei would have throne them in black cells and humiliated them. Then the dead would have arrived and made Cersei finally realize how helpless and foolish she really was. Jon and Dany would have been freed to help fight the dead.
The theory that the night king is bran who time traveled back and became him makes sense plus he does kinda look like him
Hopefully they do a sequel for Jon snow.
I remember watching this and I was like "What? Is that it?"
2:41 is so awesome😍
Okay sure, let Arya be the one to kill the Night King. BUT, make Jon the one to slay the Ice Dragon. He's the only one who can since he has both Targareyen and Stark Blood.
I loved the battle, the buildup, the fighting. But the end was just so dissapointing. This was atleast a buildup for the night king's possible death.
Why didn't Drogon just land and bite his head off? Where was he going to go and what could he do after throwing his weapon?
Arya literally ended up killing everyone. Meryn Trant, the entire Frey family, and the night king. Unreal.
Night king walks lowkey looks like Daemon's
At least they didn't do Jon dirty in this scene. Exhausted, surrounded and without any certainty it would work he was ready to go balls deep on Night King with no fear. Even with the cost of his own life. That is Jon we all know.
This is where Rhaegal or Drogon should've flown in and bbq'd a path for Jon Snow. Night King is distracted by the flames and Jon leaps through the fire and ends it.
I somehow started to get all these GOT clips in my timeline recently and I have to say, I had forgotten how shitty these later seasons were. Gods, I am angry.
Just another Thursday for us
It drives me insane if Jon hadn't paused just to make unsettling eye contact with the dude, he might've covered the rest of the distance before he got surrounded
