This is the most powerful character build up in any movies or tv shows that was dominant without saying a word in whole show. To bad for f*** up season 8.
Night King could kill a dragon with one spear, Could turn dead into alive, Could hold Brandon Stark hand in his dream. How he dies ? John Cena coming out of nowhere & gives an AA in presence of his commanders. The End.
You know whats bullshit.. arya running towards the night king with a dagger and white walkers standind their watching her.. now i know arya went thorough a lot to be an out of the world assassin but its night king.. he died like when you throw an ice cube.. wtf why did they think audience would like this.. either he didn't know valyrian steel could hurt him or he did all he did so that he could rest in peace by being blasted.. he is watching when arya is dropping the dagger in her other hand like yeah okay no big deal.. lol🤣🤣 it was a joke
It was so disappointing to see him die that easily, was built up as the strongest of all yet a lil girl kills him. Most underwhelming part of the last season.. How badly they fucked up this whole 8th season is just incredible.
It was totally predictable that the Night King was destined to die by a single thrust of a weapon of Valerian steel, dealt by Arya Stark. GoT failed at the end not because of that, but because of a lack of depth, cohesion, reason and logic. The music was gorgeous though.
I agree with the poster who said the Night King should have won. Heck, in Invasion of the Body Snatchers the aliens win. There doesn't always have to be a happy ending to a long-running show. In fact, given GoT's penchant for dark, brooding, and foreboding story lines, having the White Walkers take over Westeros would have been a fine and fitting ending to the series. Could you imagine the last scene of season eight showing the Night King walking into the king's hall at the Red Keep and sitting his supernatural butt on the Iron Throne? Holding on that image, knowing what the rest of the planet has in store for them now would have been downright terrifying! And awesome!
Yeah that would be so cool or even better if they made new GoT series placed in the future, about people struggling to survive, white walkers everywhere trying to kill every last human. And people forming alliances to attack the night king.
They should have won and the lesson should have been that the humans didn't unite to fight together...they could have made it such that Cersei betrayed the North and the North lost, then NK came down to King's Landing to finish the remaining people...and the end would have been with snow over the throne room instead of ash...as in the prophecy. Edit: There could have also been some survivors trying to revive the realm as suggested above, an interesting spin-off heh.
Who will win ? A 12 year old girl with knife Or A necromancer who can manipulete weather , and also can create seismic waves . Oh, he has a dragon too!
Let’s be real: he should’ve won. I honestly think that would have been a great ending to the show. Yea it would have been controversial but at least that decision would take some balls. Instead we got 4 different people basically winning the “game of thrones”
Yes it would be great ending. Cersei recognizes that Daenerys and co lost and a huge army of wichts and ice dragon move to Kings Landing. But she fights with wild fire.
I don't think he needed to be Valerian to ride the Necromance dragon since the dragon was already dead and he controlled it anyways so by controlling him he could ride it without permission or some special valerian power. Also the dragon has special magic to breathe cold dry ice fire which is also a magical power different from Dragon fire, fire.
They hyped this man up way too much for him not to be the main villain for the season finale...but I will say...that episode...and we all know what episode I’m talking about...was the best one oout of the whole last season 😫👏
Sad ending to a great build up evil villain. He build a army since the beginning of time of men, giants, polar bears, giant spiders, horses, and a dragon only to lost in a little castle on winter fell
The moment Jon killed that white walker in front of night king he instantly knew Jon is the real threat for him. And the one that will lead the living against his dead army.
What was need of that...night king can turn hundred of humans without touching them...he can turn the dragon into zombie just by touching water it would be cool. .but bad writing is what destroyed the season..
@@Stormborn_717 Yeah imagine he won, and they made new GoT series placed in the future where he rules the world, snow and darkness everywhere. Then some warriors try and form an army to kill the night king.
The Night King winning would actually have been the “subversion” of expectations that they had been talking about. All the prophecies of the “Prince that was Promised” vanquishing him would have been laid to rest eventually proving the point that the realms of men kept playing the game of thrones in futility while the Night King descended on the world with his hordes of undead. The Night King was not stupid to start marching on Westeros just when a war broke out. He was a brilliant strategist who knew that more the dead pile up, the greater would be the fodder for his army. The conflict in Westeros was the distraction he was looking for, being a greenseer. Sad that his potential was never utilised by Dumb & Dumber. It would have been a cool ending showing the Night King freezing the Iron throne and shattering it to bits. The title of the show itself was ironic enough, proving the point that the quest for the Iron throne ended up compromising the preservation of humanity itself. Or at least they could have shown the ending in a bittersweet manner where Jon becomes the Queenslayer, killing the now insane Daenerys and this sacrifice enabling him to defeat the Night King. As Melisandre said “only death can pay for life”, sacrificing Daenerys was the key for the survival of humanity. This would also have fulfilled the much hyped Azhor Ahai prophecy.
For the Beyond the Wall plotline, it seems like he has greenseer abilities as well. He was waiting at that lake for Jon and Dany and knew he'd be getting a dragon that day.
You are correct. She used his something potent, fatal 'to him; valerian steel which is what killed him. And the fact that she was a very young woman shows the viewers there was a twist in the storyline which is true entertainment ; whether it was favored or not.
It's not what she used, it's how she did it. Comes out of nowhere, tricks him by dropping the dagger to her other hand. Like she tricked a guy so fast and strong no one could out match him and she does it with ease. Bs
@@deemcgee3147Yeah he literally watched her pulling that move in slow mo like a deer freezing infront of headlights of a speeding truck . Yet he was made from dragon glass? I thought Valyrian steel and dragon glass hurt them because they’re made from fire magic. D & D really screwed that up
Night King was easily the most intimidating and coolest characters in GoT. His emotionless and cold look, the way he can reanimate dead humans and animals to follow him. He could easily have swamped the whole of Westeros with undead and eternal winter/darkness. Imagine, if he met Dothraki and any kind of savage warriors on the battlefield, he'd just reanimate them every time and soon he would have millions of undead in his army..... I, just like you guys just simply cannot believe that he died so easily at Winterfell... that would have been a child's play for him.

The Night King is My Second Favorite Villain in Game of Thrones. I liked having Arya being the one to kill The Night King because I found it kind cool having My Favorite Character being the one to end My Second Favorite Villain in Game of Thrones.
Plot twist to fix everything... season 9 john snow revives from being betrayed and all this bad stuff was a vision so he convinces Dany in their first meeting to go for the throne immediately over casterly rock so she doesn't lose dragons, doesn't lose her best friend/ advisor, and then anyone she hasn't killed has to join the fight against the night king which is a much better, logical, drawn out battle north of the wall instead of defending winterfell, no Dothraki suicide charge. All plotted by the lord of Light since the red priestess across the sea pointed to Dany as chosen and the red woman points to john as chosen. Bram could see past and present but john was blessed with this foresight to get the best outcome. Heck, cersei doesn't even technically HAVE to die if she's smart enough to surrender to 3 dragons, plus unsullied, plus dothraki, plus the north, plus dorne, vale, & high garden AND not having yet recruited the iron bank and iron fleet with dragon killing weapons.
"Cryokinesis" is a bit of a stretch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that to suggest he can control airborne icy objects? If so... there's no indication that that's on display here. He's just a damn good throw with some enhanced physical strength behind it. If it really was akin to telekinesis, it would have been made very clear. The showrunners would want the audience to know that's what's going on. Also, I would not have included "dragonriding" as what he is riding is no longer a "dragon." It's a dead carcasse he animated and can control.
@@unknownwarrior5672 Sometimes, a bad ending ruins the whole thing and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Sometimes, not always. Plus, who would be willing to sit through 8 whole seasons knowing it will degrade and end badly?
@@unknownwarrior5672 I'm not talking about appreciation. The journey matters, but so does the destination/ending. A 8/10 show with a 3/10 ending is bound to be panned. The quality difference is too much for some. Same with Attack on Titan, really. Also, I think a lot of people agrees that the show has been going off the rails since season 5. So like, half the entire thing. It didn't start and ended with season 8.
People discussing how Jon Snow should have bested the Night King, but really this seems to be the whole reason Bran is in the show as well. His story is tied to the north, beyond the wall and the more magical elements. Stands to reason he should have been more instrumental in this theatre rather than resolving the game of thrones in the south.
I think it only made sense that arya was the one to kill him since she was the only one with the skill to even get near him, we seen jon go for him outright & he just raised a full army of corpses between them
To be fair..it was a valeryan Steel dagger through the chest that did the trick. Valaryan steel apparently incorporates dragonglass/obsidian in it's make..and THAT was the key component in the ritual the Children used to make the Night King in the first place..a failsafe for the WMD they made to try and fend off the encroaching humans. any other weapon would have failed.
I always imagined a better ending. All the main characters like Dany, Tyrion, Sansa, Jon, Arya, Jaime dying in the Battle of Winterfell. The Night King getting an open access to Bran in Godswood. Bran committing suicide or giving up his life to resurrect Ned Stark one last time. Ned Stark’s white walker version (with little emotions) coming out of crypt and resurrecting all the dead people in Battle of Winterfell. Ned Stark engaging in a legendary duel with Night King, killing him resulting in destruction of Army of the dead. Ned Stark giving a faint smile to Arya, Sansa and Jon before disappearing in halo around the big tree along with Bran’s dead body. I think such type of ending would have justified everything like 1) The build up to the might of Night King and his dreaded army, destroying all humans, only to get defeated by a cheat code i.e. their own version of Ned Stark 2) Bran’s supernatural prowess saving all main characters by giving up his own life 3) The undisputed hero of GOT i.e. Ned Stark returning one last time to save everyone’s arse 4) Stupid humans (Cersei, Dany, Jon) resuming their quest for Iron Throne once the bigger threat is dealt with.

Good job

Dude that first big attack of the walkers on that wildling camp was to awesome.
Sad they ruined tho whole series in the last season
Only the last season was ruined not the whole series. You can't just discredit a whole show like thjs
@@unknownwarrior5672 Sometimes, a bad ending ruins the whole thing and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Sometimes, not always.
Plus, who would be willing to sit through 8 whole seasons knowing it will degrade and end badly?
@@dmin5782 anybody that can appreciate the show for what it is
@@unknownwarrior5672 I'm not talking about appreciation.
@@dmin5782 nah the show was just fine til the end of season 6
GOT missed a huge opportunity with this. Final season was a joke. It needs to be redone.
Very nice
People discussing how Jon Snow should have bested the Night King, but really this seems to be the whole reason Bran is in the show as well. His story is tied to the north, beyond the wall and the more magical elements. Stands to reason he should have been more instrumental in this theatre rather than resolving the game of thrones in the south.
So is he just like the most powerful warg ever?
I think it only made sense that arya was the one to kill him since she was the only one with the skill to even get near him, we seen jon go for him outright & he just raised a full army of corpses between them
A coisa mais ridícula que eu fui nesse vídeo foi essa guria catarrenta do final conseguindo matar esse carinha forte pra krl com uma facada no peito.
Wait so what exactly would the night king do after he kills everyone ?
I start watching first season only waiting for night king and waiting oll season
But death seen simple not much
The only question remaining is
Were dud he get his clothes
corpses probably
Night king powers : yes
My favorite character, though the way he dies is epic. That naturally happens when you think you are invincible.
Epic ? You mean shit ?
To be fair..it was a valeryan Steel dagger through the chest that did the trick. Valaryan steel apparently incorporates dragonglass/obsidian in it's make..and THAT was the key component in the ritual the Children used to make the Night King in the first place..a failsafe for the WMD they made to try and fend off the encroaching humans. any other weapon would have failed.
I don't get what I missed in GOT...did they really shown how he was made in the show? Cannot remember that.
@@adebayo_ajulo yeah. when Bran was learning how to be the three-eyed raven.
@@alexsolomon8127 wow...I missed that? Now it feels like I didn't see the movie at all
This character shouldnt be exist because he’s to powerfull.Any scenario to defeat this guy will never impress everyone.
Olympic champion at the Javelin.❤❤❤
good thing they explained all this...so that they could take a massive dump on it in the last season
The eyes and half face structure resembles to otto hightower
I think such type of ending would have justified everything like
1) The build up to the might of Night King and his dreaded army, destroying all humans, only to get defeated by a cheat code i.e. their own version of Ned Stark
2) Bran’s supernatural prowess saving all main characters by giving up his own life
3) The undisputed hero of GOT i.e. Ned Stark returning one last time to save everyone’s arse
4) Stupid humans (Cersei, Dany, Jon) resuming their quest for Iron Throne once the bigger threat is dealt with.
Season 8 still hurts
Dude looks so cool
there needs to be a tv series about the children of the forest
Season 9 or 8 reboot required. Strategies against that MASSIVE THREAT were poorly executed, and Night King too easily defeated.
Just like that after all these years 😅
What scene is the middle one where it’s all blue, I think beyond the wall?
4:49 my boy saluting. heil hitle...drogon
