I purchased my model S a year ago and at the time they showed the demo models online but since the site changed. Anyway I saved $15k on a 6 month old demo with 1000 miles. I had a different situation but was able to get $3000 off my model 3 by getting on the phone with a sales adviser. I’m not sure what the incentive is for them but if you ask your more than likely to get a discount especially if you are having a bad experience or complications with the buying/delivery process.

Noob, you look for the cars that are leased, there are literally used cars that look fresh off the assembly line because people used them only as A-B cars, especially Tesla’s, not really a car where people do burnouts or street races in them.
What Tesla needs to do is for those who go to a showroom to look at the cars, sit in them, take them for a test drive, and then decide to buy one, do the deal there and then offer them some sort of incentive or discount for making their purchase there. Many people don't like making that big of a purchase without some sort of hands on with the product first. Get those Model 3's flowing and Tesla will do good. TLTW: you could have gotten a a demo for like 30k but they sold a white one with 19” wheels for 52k 😂 They don’t need sales when they have a delivery team who can call you and set up the deliveries with you
Wait, they keep dropping the prices too. After the Y is unveiled M3 prices will also start getting softer. The prices for used ones keeps dropping on the bay also.
Moors law is in force. Hopefully, in 2 years people will be able to buy used 3's under 30k. That is when the market for new 3's will increase again. @Tesla Fans you listed the generic 888 number for Tesla. Usually the sales reps get cell phones so you can contact them directly. Do you have his direct number? One thing you don’t realize is that Tesla employees have no power to decided the price of a car. So it was on the pricing inventory brochure that you could have online on the website
Thanks for this tip. Seriously considering the model 3 long range for next year late 2020. I will take this route when the time comes. Also, getting a demo is a great idea, if you can find one that you can live with.
Funny that the pearl white paint is now free and the black is $1k. A couple months back the Pearl white was $1k. Didn't know they charged $2k before that.
I like that he gives tips but here’s the thing I will not drive a used car. Mainly I.C.E. Vehicles because I don’t have luck wit them. I always get one that has issues even if it only have 40k miles so I still intend to get a model 3 but I will buy one new with low miles. My current car I bought it brand new with 18 miles on it.
wrong! you think you get better mpg because smaller wheels spin more in a given distance so your odometer reads more, so your brain believes what is reading BUT, bigger wheels obviously spin less so it reads less in the odometer for the same distance, that being said, bigger the wheels farther you get with same consumption better displacement and smoother cruise less wear on wheel bearings
Awesome video. If I can save 2600 on a model 3 long range I will get it today. Stay tuned. I will say though, I did leave a message for a Tesla rep days ago and have not heard back.
They don’t want to do this anymore. and besides it’s the older m3 which I rather have a car built by their improved quality control manufacturing and that depreciation curve start at 2019 not 2018. So it doesn’t really matter much cause it will balance out.
All that for just $2000 off. That's the cost of the paint. Tesla may be different, but I've never had to pay for paint with any car I've purchased. I just tell them, I'm having it with that paint at no extra cost or there's no sale. That on top of any other discounts I may have already negotiated.
Those headlights that move somewhat like those electric clear balls, are they custom or how much of an upgrade is that? Might be one of the coolest features of the vehicle, aesthetically.

I'm in the market for a Tesla model 3, I've looked into the pre owned market but when you buy pre owned you don't qualify for the tax incentives/credit being offered as new. Great strategy, inquire about a demo unit. However, the 12 mins/13 video is not needed to explain. But good information! Thanks~
You are looking for a vehicle which was a demo car. Meaning it was never registered and you would still qualify for the incentive despite the miles on the car.
I am in the market for a model 3 too. My Ford F150 4WD get 13 mpg and its my commuter car and I live in LA. I have no need for this truck anymore (not hauling anything) .... but.... the extended time charging a tesla is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger.

I was offered to take home a 2019 Model 3 LR with close to 1000 miles on it with $2000 off. Demo car. I did not take the deal because I am buying a new car. calvin minick The car is overpriced so the $2K is not really a discount...that’s only to make you feel happy. Put it like this: you want to sale a used car for $5K...you ask for $6K so when ppl ask you for a discount, you get to your real selling price. So if you let it go for $5.5K, the discount was unreal because you were willing to let it go for $5K. Tesla is playing mind game with customers.

Yup after got chance to be in my cousin model y long range and got to ride in it 3 different time I’m going get a 2022 model y performance soon lol
TLTW: you could have gotten a a demo for like 30k but they sold a white one with 19” wheels for 52k 😂
They don’t need sales when they have a delivery team who can call you and set up the deliveries with you
Wait, they keep dropping the prices too. After the Y is unveiled M3 prices will also start getting softer. The prices for used ones keeps dropping on the bay also.
Moors law is in force. Hopefully, in 2 years people will be able to buy used 3's under 30k. That is when the market for new 3's will increase again. Many many people still have no idea Tesla is a fully electric or that Tesla has its own charging network. When used 3's get out there in numbers that is over. Most people will understand how Tesla s work.
@@fatboy19831 “used 3's under 30k"? Nope! I think they'll be a lot less than that. Around $30K you can buy used Model S right now, they have some in their used inventory.
@@anmarams I am not talking about an 150k mile 6 year old S.
To buy an S under full factory warranty is going to cost you well over 50k.
Two year old low mile clean 3s still under full factory warranty will start to be priced in the high twenties low thirties..
@@anmarams theyre only that cheap because those cars are not capable of full self driving and have old hardware no one wants
@@nickvenuto2197 A lot of people won't care about FSD....the biggest problem for any owner will be getting parts and service.
Great video. Thanks for the info. I plan on calling the sales team asap.
Only thing is with demo cars is people are punching those things hard driving. Imagine all these people trying the car for the first time behind the wheel of the one you buy. Great Video - something I’m going to contemplate!
You mentioned you were going to post the 1-800# - can you list it please?
Came back to tell you that I used your advice and I got a great deal.
For those wondering. I saved $9,300
What did you buy? Model/package/EAP/color?
Woodlandish black/black, AP, Performance
what was the mileage? and model?@@justmattgray

This all seems like a dream right now at the end of December. There's literally no stock and everyone is clamoring to pay full price to get the tax credit before it expires.
Sunny Shah yea I’m one of them. These things are selling faster then I can claim it over the phone. I got one hopefully being ready for pickup either tomorrow (fingers crossed) or Monday! Really exited and getting the tax credit.
@@daveco3217 im taking mine today haha. last day lol
Chris Brown congrats. Cars really beyond amazing you have something to look forward to.
If you buy a Tesla or other environmentally friendly car in Sweden, you can get up to $ 7,000 in bonuses from the state
but I think the car must be brand new. you must therefore be the first owner of the car
By demo cars, do you mean the used car inventory they have online or is this like a hidden menu?
Get to the point already. Damn. "Brevity is the soul of wit" - Shakespeare
Fam Goswami, apparently UA-camrs get paid more if the video is longer than 10 minutes.
That quote "Brevity is the soul of wit" was from the play Hamlet and stated by Polonius. In Hamlet it's well known that Polonius was a fool and many believe that Shakespeare was mocking Polonius by having him say this line since Hamlet is in fact Shakespeare's longest play.
But there are those who say that there are problems with 19-inch rims for Tesla. That they can be damaged when you, for example, have to drive over a curb. because the tire is quite thin on them
Thanks for the tip. A friend also mentioned that they were offering discounts for new cars in inventory.
@Tesla Fans you listed the generic 888 number for Tesla. Usually the sales reps get cell phones so you can contact them directly. Do you have his direct number? Looking to pull the trigger on a car this week.
Update: Just called 888 number, other sales rep wasn't able to replicate. Stated your video is click bait because not possible to get $2k off brand new. If you can get us the direct number or more info that would be helpful.
That's because in the first place he wanted a demo car. Couldn't fit is need so they decided to give him a brand new because he was actually ready to pay for used. You just called them saying : Yo. a dude on youtube said you give 2k discount I want same. You an idiot.
One thing you don’t realize is that Tesla employees have no power to decided the price of a car. So it was on the pricing inventory brochure that you could have online on the website
I wouldn't buy a demo car, especially a performance model because they're constantly beat on for demonstration purposes.
I would like one but it looks too low to the ground. I live off un-maintained dirt roads with washes that fill up during heavy rains.
Will this apply for leased vehicles too?
I hope you didn't get that model 3 from Tesla Costa Mesa. Because I test drove a white one and beat the shit out of it LOL.
LOL
It's fine, the motors can take more than engines since there's less moving parts
Lmao I'm from the Santa Ana/Costa Mesa area. Thinking of buying a Model 3. Now I know
LOL
Wdym?
They make at least 5k per car. And that's minimum. Because if you refer 55 they give you a free roadster. So they probably make 8-10k per car.
$6000 off for a test-driven car with 3000 miles is like the shittiest deal ever.
On a Tesla model 3, 18" wheels will give you better long range miles. The larger the tires the less mileage you will get.
True, but not by much maybe 4-5% increase in mileage.
@@Resist4 go to www.teslike.com for a comprehensive chart showing the actual mileage (vs reported ) for the various tire sizes
Those miles cost pennies and 19s look better. Replacement cost is going to be more but worth it. This isn't a Prius!
wrong! you think you get better mpg because smaller wheels spin more in a given distance so your odometer reads more, so your brain believes what is reading BUT, bigger wheels obviously spin less so it reads less in the odometer for the same distance, that being said, bigger the wheels farther you get with same consumption better displacement and smoother cruise less wear on wheel bearings
Awesome video. If I can save 2600 on a model 3 long range I will get it today. Stay tuned. I will say though, I did leave a message for a Tesla rep days ago and have not heard back.
It’s worth saving our own life by wearing the seatbelt before saving the bucks.
For me i would just buy the lowest cost color and then wrap it. I love wraps.
Those headlights that move somewhat like those electric clear balls, are they custom or how much of an upgrade is that? Might be one of the coolest features of the vehicle, aesthetically.
Oh and what might they be called? So I can research them because I couldn't not find them other than this video.
I’m pretty sure it’s just the camera
Aren’t they eliminating a ton members of the team to redice costs? So they won’t have a sales team?
Yes but not all, but they never needed a sales team because they just put the order in online for you, using the same site you would.
Every British Columbian in Metro Vancouver, Canada got $10,000 off from the Province and Federal Government. Also, if you will look for that deal you won't get your colour preferences. The inventory in US and Canada is different. Great tips though!

If you buy a car with miles on it like a demo car for a discount, do you still get the tax rebate? The electric vehicle tax rebate is for new car purchases
Do u think it's to late for me to do this ? I just order mine last week
Elon said all sales will be 100% online. You did say that but whoever wants to buy should buy right now from sales team
More like 70%. You can still buy in the store.
@@indiandoctor7900 if you own a house then invest in a home charger which will pretty much charge your vehicle overnight. Or, If you live near a supercharger then go there once a week or every other week depending on your driving habits. Yes, It will take some time BUT! The trick is to let it go below 15% so it'll charge up to 70-80% in the shortest amount of time. The time you spend laying on your bed watching UA-cam videos just do it in the Tesla lol. IMO
I can use the internet on that screen?? What do I use of Internet connection? The Hotspot on my iPhone? Have you heard of overcrowding at these super charger stations? You know... long waiting time? Im thinking late at night would be best time. Yes there are stations near me.
@@indiandoctor7900 yes it has internet connection which comes with the vehicle so you'll be good to go if you want to do some light browsing...etc. There is also an adapter that hijacks your rearview camera to mirror your device for Netflix...Hulu...etc. In my area there are only about 2 supercharging stations and I've never seen them overcrowded. So in MY situation no I do not. But for you can be different, I'm not sure if you can go online to see available superchargers at any given time but if you can then try that and see if there is any congestion.
I got one with 7 miles and a $3450 price adjustment. Call and ask.
What number do you call?
Um...the 3 not selling as much as the S? WTF
Why does it say the starting price for the model 3 in your area is $35000? After everything for a stock model 3 I’m looking at $42000 what’s going on here
Thee is no inventory of new model 3 cars. They are sold far into the future. You actually have to wait for a few months for your car.
Isn’t Tesla selling online EXCLUSIVELY as announced last week?
no, they are closing many stores and showrooms. but they are not selling online only
They've always sold online. Even if you purchased at a showroom, the salesperson would go to the same online ordering page you would and fill it in for you.
Am I more likely to get a deal by calling Tesla National or by visiting the nearest Tesla dealership?
Surely stoked to buy one when autopilot gets perfect!
ua-cam.com/video/AO33rOofFpg/v-deo.html
I was offered to take home a 2019 Model 3 LR with close to 1000 miles on it with $2000 off. Demo car. I did not take the deal because I am buying a new car. Regardless of whether it's EV or regular gasoline car, I am uncomfortable to buy a new car with 1000 miles on it. So I ordered a 2020 P3D with 4 miles on it instead. So to your point, they do exist. I'm just not comfortable buying them (Personal feelings).
I got a $2000 off as well Basically they didn’t charge me for the colour
When did you buy the car? In Jan 2019 or earlier/later?
Julia Caban feb 2019
This is why they gave him a deal. It’s because they were going to drop the price anyways the next month.
@@mntran Yeah.. I bought my model 3 on Feb 2nd and not even a month later the price was down by $4000... I bet they will keep lowering the price, since they are desperate to sell more cars. They had pretty rough start in 2019, sales were down by over 70%.
@@mntran and that makes sense. So no one else will get a deal on a new Model 3 like he did by calling them, only on demo cars.
They were taking $2000 off of 2018 models sitting around locally.
they have different battery cells from the 2019
What is that “Taxes & fees” for $5,211.50? Is that registration? Is that included in the final price? Do have to pay that when you pick up the car? And why does your sales tax seem so high? Sorry for asking a bunch of questions but I want to order one soon and I don’t want any surprise fees. Thank you.
Have you never bought a car before?
High Cali taxes!
I’m going to the dealership tomorrow to see what they offer in person
So what happened, did they give you a deal when you went in person?
bullwhipjesus not by a lot. I ended up getting a used one online because before Tesla reports earnings they drop the price of used Tesla’s by about 5k!
Super helpful! Thank you for the video.
Good info. Going to try it out. And if they close my store near me I’m sure they still have sales team through calling them. Going to try and see what discount I can get trying to buy model 3

Orrr be like me and buy a used model S for 30K. You get so much car and tesla satisfaction for a FRACTION of the cost.
You “THINK” He Gave you a $2,000 discount but He didn’t !! Lol
Junito Punto Comm wym
calvin minick The car is overpriced so the $2K is not really a discount...that’s only to make you feel happy. Put it like this: you want to sale a used car for $5K...you ask for $6K so when ppl ask you for a discount, you get to your real selling price. So if you let it go for $5.5K, the discount was unreal because you were willing to let it go for $5K. Tesla is playing mind game with customers.
Bruh if u didn’t ask for a discount then u’ll pay for the full 6k not the 5k or whatever. 5k is less then 6k, it’s a discount, good, bad or whatever is going behind scenes don’t matter

First put your SEAT BELT ON.
My family has a model x go to the showroom and see what they have because you can save lots of money buying a “used” tesla, it is considered used after 50 miles although we have a model x and we did that but there were some throngs we would have changed for example third row no enhanced autopilot and maybe the white interior because we have the previously discontinued cloth option also our tesla has 54 miles on it and we got three thousand off
