Take a plastic paint scraper and remove the dried wax then use isopropyl alcohol to remove and residue. Just saved you 10.5 minutes of your life. Thanks for posting!
I just tried your technique and it worked like a charm. May I suggest that you edit your video to make it shorter. I almost didn’t watch it but I was desperate. Many people would benefit from your information. Thanks again!
Thank you! I did the same thing you did re candle wax on wall. You explained exactly what to do to remove with scrapper and then gently wipe clean with rubbing alcohol and my hot pink wax was totally removed. 😊
Repeating the same information over and over and over again. It was like brain surgery! I was skipping through to get the results myself. Hope you got your wax spill cleaned up.
So what you're saying is we should 1. First use a paint scraper and gently scrape off cooled hardened wax from surface 2. 2nd Use 70% alcohol on cotton cloth and gently wipe off remaining oil sheen 3. 3rd Use cotton cloth dampened with water and rinse off Thank you :)
I had a waxy drip on my wall caused by a bumper of sorts on a picture frame. This thing melted, and left a sticky red drip on my wall that made it look like my picture was bleeding. The combo hairdryer and isopropyl alcohol worked very well!
What's more annoying is the same comments over and over about the length! I was looking at comments to see if anyone had issues with taking off the oil....not looking for your negative responses. If you can't be more positive, then just scroll. I bet he helped ya out, bet you needed his advise or you wouldn't have been here!
I’m cracking up o here, I’m going to try this but, I must say we all have short attention spans lol! I about clicked off of this video when he repeated what he already said more than twice. I’m working on my attention span keep doing your thang😃.
The best solution! Scraped the dried wax off with just my finger nails then used the same alcoholic solution damped it and rubbed gently. I understand why he says to not run too hard or you may damage your paint but if you damp it on then run with another cloth you’re good. Thank you for this video!!!
I appreciate the info… I’m about to try your process on an eggshell paint in our bathroom. But I think your 10 minute video could have been just as thorough in less than 3 minutes- *Scrape the wax off with a plastic scraper *Use 70% isopropyl alcohol on a clean cloth and rub gently to get residue off. *Use another clean cloth with water to get the alcohol off. Greetings from Bakersfield!
Basically what he’s saying is scrape off until it’s kind of thin, then use Rubbing alcohol, and rub the area. But he said “don’t rub too hard.” And right after use another cloth, and soak it with soap water, squeeze out water, and wipe off. I spilled wax all over my boyfriends wall, and now I’m finding a way to fix it cuz I feel rly bad -Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I hope you know that the actual length of this video could have been just two minutes, you instead decided to blab and blab for the remaining 9 minutes. Good process though, thanks for sharing
I’m positive he thinks the rest of the world is reeeeeeeeeaaaalllyyyyy slowww….mmmkay?!! No more waxy residue on the wall… this works great guys… toooo reeemmovvvve waxxxx frommmm the wallllll…. 🤣 great intentions…. Horrible video sorry 😖
I actually stated in the video what would happen if you use a blow dryer. By applying direct heat to the wax it starts to melt and if then rub the wax it just smears creating a bigger mess.
Really? I thought it was just me. (Until I read the comments!) Oh, for goodness sake get to the point. Ten minutes for a 3-minute instruction? Hello, if viewers don't get it, guess what? We can play the video again. Duh!!!!! You can upload plenty more hacks on some other hacks but I couldn't take the long overly drawn-out demonstration and repetition of the same information. How many times can you say candle wax, wall, and flat paint? You probably have some good information on different things, but you need to shorten the presentation. This is a hack, not a dissertation or a board exam.
This could have been a YT short if you just stuck to the point. Anyway, nobody seems to know how to do this on a textured wall. Flat walls are easy peasy.
Damn boy!!! Good info but daaaaauum! This could've been a 2 minute video. Did you need 11 minutes to say scape it & wipe the oily residue with alcohol??? You repeat everything over & over. We get it the first time you say it. So if you do other videos, PLEASE JUST GET TO THE POINT.
Take a plastic paint scraper and remove the dried wax then use isopropyl alcohol to remove and residue. Just saved you 10.5 minutes of your life.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
Lmao fo reeeeeeaaalzzzz
I was about to write the same post.
Oh, don't forget to take a soft cloth and don't rub it too hard!
Lmao!!!
wanted to shoot myself 2 minutes in. Thank you for saving me!
I just tried your technique and it worked like a charm. May I suggest that you edit your video to make it shorter. I almost didn’t watch it but I was desperate. Many people would benefit from your information. Thanks again!

_Yeah coming from a woman, because y’all don’t understand the value of time_
Great information. However, it’s a lot of talking lol
I had to move on to another video...too much yapping!...🤦🏽♀️
Video could have been condensed to 30 seconds, one minute max.
You ain't lying 🤦♀️
I was going to say the same thing!!!
I thought it was just me thinkin that...30 sec of info took a hour.....thx though
Thank you! I did the same thing you did re candle wax on wall. You explained exactly what to do to remove with scrapper and then gently wipe clean with rubbing alcohol and my hot pink wax was totally removed. 😊
Thanks for watching.
Omg you deserve a DIY award 😂🥳 this actually worked for me😊
Thanks for watching and glad it helped.
I couldn’t even get to the end because the talking was getting on my nerves just jump straight to the point
Repeating the same information over and over and over again. It was like brain surgery! I was skipping through to get the results myself.
Hope you got your wax spill cleaned up.
To fast forward, go to 4:55 point. Thanks for the information.
Thanks for watching. Got a little long winded but the technique works.
So what you're saying is we should
1. First use a paint scraper and gently scrape off cooled hardened wax from surface
2. 2nd Use 70% alcohol on cotton cloth and gently wipe off remaining oil sheen
3. 3rd Use cotton cloth dampened with water and rinse off
Thank you :)
Thanks for watching! Hope it helped.
Than you Stacy!🎉
Can someone cut, edit, and repost please 😅 for the future

@jeffhamm1991ify Greatly appreciated. Hope it helped out!
Wow!🤔 You explained the heck out of this! You MUST teach for a living...BROKE IT DOWN FOR 1ST GRADER🤭😂
Thanks for watching. Hope it helped out. Yes I probably spent more explaining how to. Guess I'm just a little too thorough. 😁
Lol

Sorry for being long winded. Hope the tips help out!
Why did it take you 2min and 17 seconds to repeat the same thing over and over again to get to the point on how to remove the wax

So glad it work for you!!
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate this.
You are very welcome.
Had to hit that 8 minute mark to allow mid roll adds. Gotta make that money, huh.
I hope you know that the actual length of this video could have been just two minutes, you instead decided to blab and blab for the remaining 9 minutes. Good process though, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. Hope it helped.
Appreciate the information but this was a lot of repeating unnecessary information rather than just getting to the "how to" part. Thanks.
Does it have to be exactly 70%? Will 50% work?
%50 should work just fine as well. Thanks for watching.
Your a life saver
Thank you so much! This was extremely helpful!

What happens if you use the blow dryer? Can you be more specific?
I actually stated in the video what would happen if you use a blow dryer. By applying direct heat to the wax it starts to melt and if then rub the wax it just smears creating a bigger mess.
