Sarah Hicks. What a talent! Graduate Magna Cum Laud from Harvard with a BA in music composition, principal conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra and highly sought after as a "guest conductor" as she is here. She has conducted orchestras all around the world in both hemispheres, puts out a series of informational videos on UA-cam and just seems to be one of the nicest persons you ever would want to meet! I am impressed with her, and so young to achieve all of this!

The genius of this rendition by the Danish National Orchestra is that its identical to the theme of the movie (without the gunshots). They haven't tried to improve it, or modernise it, or try to touch it up.
I've watched the movie many times. But to watch and listen to the theme being put together in all its oringinal 1967 glory just adds so much to it.

The Orchestra was "born" on the 28th of October 1925!.......... So next year is the 100th birthday and knowing DR (I am a Dane), they won't waste a good celebration. Maybe something big is coming, who knows? Keep an eye on their homepage.

Written by the legendary film composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) who has written many many film scores but none has had the impact of this, this score is from a trio of movies out of Italy in the 60's commonly known as "Spaghetti Westerns"...A Fistful Of Dollars (1964) For A few Dollars More (1965) and This one, The Good The Bad The Ugly (1966) all directed by legendary Italian film director Sergio Leone (1929-1989) Both of these men have influenced many directors and composers...These movies also launched Clint Eastwood into the stratosphere. Everything by this orchestra is amazing and there's a lot on here to see. The hanging man is just a theme from the movies as hanging wasn't so much justice dispensed as it was pretty much a sport back then. Tuva Semmingsen (Wah Wah) is a Norwegian soprano and she too is also amazing, please listen to "Bang Bang" and look close she's wearing guns for earrings...Christine Nonbo Andersen also amazing, the skill required for all this is beyond belief, one single note out of place and the entire piece is shattered, it's mind boggling to see what a group of dedicated people can do together, one no more or less important than another, astonishing.

Wah-wah lady (Tuva Semmingsen) is a mezzosoprano, and has her own YT channel as well.
This score is just a snippet of the entire concert performed by the orchestra on a live broadcast by danish national tv. The concert was a theme concert named: _An evening woth the music of Ennio Morricone._
This score is from the western *The good, the bad and the ugly.*
Throughout the evening they honored the musical genious of mr Morricone. His scores of _Once upon a time in the west, A fistful of dollars, For a few dollars more_ and others.

The music here is actually 2 separate pieces of music from the original movie score. The 1st part is the Main theme music, the second piece is from the scene from when Tuco finds the cemetery where the gold has been hidden. The title of the musical piece is Estaci' de Oro (Ecstasy of Gold) That has very strong emotions involved for me.

The wua wua of the mezzo-soprano was supposed to sound like the howl of the coyote, the sequence with the trumpets refers to the American civil war in which it is set, while the intro with the piano (the ecstasy of gold) refers to the cemetery of " SAD HILL "for the final match.

@@ROYALTEHILLAHTVREACT I would never crucifie such a kind person like you 🙂 You should give them the tip, maybe even you begin your reaction, to hear the original version first to enjoy it, and than view your reaction. I tried and it really works. At least you could mention it when somebody complains. Just go on like that.

Thanks for your beautiful reaction. Do you or anybody else know the name of the instrument at 1:40? And just for my curiosity: Which voice do you sing? Sopran,Mezzosopran or alt?

I can fit in to all depending on the key the song is recorded, but naturally my voice is classified as contralto

Anche se è ovvio, aggiungo che Ennio Morricone era un genio a livello di Mozart,Vivaldi,Bach, non per nulla è uscito da un conservatorio...

Just a humble advice: Listen to the entire song first - don't pause it while you listen. After you've heard the entire song, you'll get a better perspective of it. So sad that most "first time listeners" keep pausing the songs instead of listening till the end. Your listeners are interested of your overall view, not your comments as you go along.

I think the absolute opposite, if your here for a reaction watch the reaction & for the reactor I’d much rather them pause & talk than talk over the video / movie or wait until the end to ya know, react. What do you just wanna watch them blankly stare at the video until it’s over & then finally start reacting??

I think a harmonica would have sounded better than "waa waa waa," though maybe this is more fun. :D
Also, I love the dancing director! :D

. E muito!.
