Is anyone else moved to tears by Ennio Morricone's music, or am I the only one?
🥰
You are the only one. Honestly truly.
Are you prone to over stimulation like that? You might be autistic sweetheart 😖
@@salmarwow what do u mean by that??? If u don't like Ennio then u were dropped on ur head at birth!!!!
I always am. Though I prefer the music from ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. Great operatic theme in that one as well.
Rumor says, the guy hanging from the roof is the 1st violinist, he was late for rehearsal
Wrong,it was the first guy to make this joke.
@@DermotLehane Well, then I at least am safe😄

The whistling lady, Tuva Semmingsen, is an incredible mezzosoprano. Check her out on UA-cam.
Thanks for sharing
Morricone's entire budget for this film was probably less than the cost of this one performance. A true genius of film score composition.
🥰🥰🥰
@@AaliyahCapili Almost anything can be probable. So?
If you look closley, the lady who is doing the wha.wha, have pistol earrings in.. And the part where the piano start is called " the ecstasy of gold "
Regarding Tuva's earrings it's actually a pistol on one side and a feather on the other, thus representing the European immigrants and the Native Americans.
Thanks so much for sharing
Since nobody seems to have mentioned that this is a film score I advise you to watch the movie. It's about 3 hours long but every component is great. Great music, great scenery, great plot, great acting and great cinematography. You won't even notice that you have been sitting still so long that you are sore until after the movie has finished.
She mentioned in her intro @01:10 that she knows it's from a movie.
One of the best movies ever !
Thanks for the recommendation🥰
I always love listening to this. Love how they use their voices as instruments and not using them lyrically. Enjoyed this and, as always, great reaction.
Thanks so much Mr. Julian💕
@@AaliyahCapili you're welcome. 😊
I may be a rock/metal guitarist, but this is my favorite composition ever.
Thanks for sharing
This is fantastic Aliyah - thank you for reacting to this.
The Danish Orchestra does a brilliant job, as always. Here, I have always liked the conductress and the way she reaches into the sky.
Ennio Morricone was simply a genius. He was not just a composer and conductor, he was also a trumpeter which explains the impressive trumpet parts in his music.
Without his music, those famous Westerns and also The Mission would have been less successful.
His collaboration with Sergio Leone was a once-in-a lifetime occurrence.
Ennio and Sergio brought the American Western industry to its knees. Every minute in those movies was a work of art. I could go on.... but people are beginning to yawn 😭
For you Aaliyah, if you haven't seen The Good, the Bad and the Ugly I strongly recommend you watch it. Watch out for the two words spoken by Clint Eastwood (Blondie) - "You dig" 😮
Greetings from cowboyland y'all! 🤠
check out the late patricia janeckova's brilliant versions of, 'ecstasy of gold' & 'once upon a time in the west'! patricia died last october from breast cancer aged 25!
@@normankennith7919 Will do, thank you!
thank you! you won't be disappointed!
she was only 12 when she sang, 'once upon a time in the west' & about 15 when she sang, 'ecstasy of gold'!
patricia went on to become arguably the finest opera, x/over singer in the world, before her tragic death!
all the best!@@ricklee5845
Thank you very very much for taking the time to share and for your recommendation
thanx! hope you enjoyed it, even though sadly, patricia is no longer with us!@@AaliyahCapili
Ennio was a perfect example to anyone not understanding music, but knowing that there is something special. Ennio was special.
🥰🥰🥰
I think the multiple trumpets starting at 4:51 reflect the chaos of the civil war scenes from the movie - competing sounds of bugles communiicating battle plans, clearly audible to each side, and yet each with a different battle order - and in the movie - right afterward the death of the young soldier and the captain speaks to the futility of the war and I think the competing trumpets captures some of this.

Beautiful, the Danish National orchestra are one of my favourite orchestra's, listen to the live performance of procal Harem's whiter shade of pale backed by the Danish National orchestra, it's one of my favourite live performances ever.
Thanks for sharing🌺
"The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" is the final movie in the "Dollar Trilogy" (The other two being "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More"), the soundtracks for all three movies are epic. Metallica have used "The Ecstasy of Gold" as their live intro music since the early days as well. If you haven't seen the movies they really are worth checking out. The music fits the movies perfectly and really adds to the character and atmosphere, they are very unique. Great reaction, really nice to see you adding more musical analysis and commentary.
Thanks so much for your kind appreciation and for sharing🥰
Ennio Morricone was a true genius. One story I read about him was he was working on a film and the score wasn’t working. He left and said he’d be back with the revised music. He returned 72 hours later with a complete score with all the necessary parts arranged and the score worked perfectly.
Thanks so much for sharing
Hi Ailiyah from the UK (Windy Wales 😊). Thanks for reacting to this but I must admit that as wonderful as this piece is I have always been in love with his other great score for a classic western, Once Upon A Time In The West, which incorporates some very beautiful singing from a mezzo soprano I'm guessing and his score for The Mission which ends with one of the best choir pieces in film; just my humble opinion 😎 I'm a lifelong opera and classical music lover and wish there were more reactors of those great arias and pieces, I've had my own classical reaction channel for a while if you fancy looking in? 😊 JB Classical although I've not posted for a while. Stay talented and beautiful!
Hello, thank you very much for taking the time to share, much appreciated🥰have a wonderful week🥰
Sincere and inspiring reaction.
Thanks so much🥰
Just remember, people did this...a group of people, different backgrounds and nationalities, all pulling together and if ONE single note is out of place, ONE, the entire piece is ruined...I can't imagine the hard work, discipline and raw talent that goes into this, none of us will...OK having said that, this is from legendary composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) and among many others scores, this is his crowning achievement and many of todays composers have been heavily influence by him, legend just isn't enough, the director of this movie was Sergio Leone (1829-1989), another director who has also influenced many others like Martin Scorsese and Quinten Tarantino, legend doesn't do him justice either, both these men are way beyond that....OK the orchestra itself, world renowned and just listen to what else they have done... Tuva Semmingsen (Wah Wah) is a Norwegian Barocco and Mozart mezzo-soprano singer, she's wearing gun shaped earrings to boot! There's a harmonica in sync with her during those wah wah's and check out her other works, (Bang Bang), Christine Nobo Anderson is another beautiful singer, you have to have, besides the raw talent, an incredible amount of training to control your diaphragm and breathing to use such an instrument, the entire piece is just amazing and really is the only event I would pay a grand a ticket to see.
You should listen to their score of "Once upon a time in the West" at the same concert.

🇨🇦 The DNSO consists of over 100 musicians and over 70 Choir members ! 🇨🇦
Thanks so much for the info
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra has also done the score for the other two films in the trilogy, "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More" and they're, believe it or not, just as good.
Thanks so much for sharing
As a beautiful young intelligent unique girl like me , u definitely chose one of the best artists that ever existed to actually react to here on UA-cam ❤
This entire soundtrack to this whole trilogy of films is beautiful 💎
Check out all of the Dollars Trilogy soundtracks by Ennio , they are all amazing ❤
RIP Mistro 🕊️
Thank you so much for sharing💕♥️💕
Christine Nonbo Andersen became world famous from singing this piece. I've seen this video dozens of times over the years, and I still get chills when I hear Christine hit those high notes, singing in the upper balcony by herself.
Same. What an amazing singer.

As another Dane I follow these reactions, so Thank You! The hanging man is from the Story Line in the film, as Clint Eastwood, as a shadow in the background! Ennio Morricone gave a Concert i Copenhagen about a year before he died, but I could have hoped for him to listen to this full Orchestra!
Thanks so much for sharing💕
I love this
🥰🥰🥰
thank you for talking about the obo
Thanks for taking the time to watch too🥰
Do more of this ^^

I always like her reactions.
Thanks so much
Thx Aaliyah for another great interesting reaction. And since you've also released the Rebekah Del Rio reaction today, I feel "double-spoiled" 😅

The score's name "The Ectasy of Gold". Metalica performs a little different version.

Awesome reaction! 🎵 Please also listen to (U.S.) Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings", the tragic music for "Platoon", Oliver Stones' epic movie about our war in Vietnam, & at JFK's funeral, it was played because it had also been his favorite Classical piece.
Possibly the saddest piece of music ever written.
Barber wrote a lot of other great stuff, too. I'm sure Aliyah knows many pieces.
Thanks for the recommendation
@@AaliyahCapiliThe Vienna Philharmonic captures & conveys (Samuel Barber's) "Adagio for Strings", Op.11, perfectly in 2019 (on UA-cam, btw;)

Those chimes tho... 😀 Probably my favorite percussion instrument in the orchestra. Marimba speaks to me too, but it's not really an orchestral instrument.

Carissima e bravissima giovane cantante cerca i video con le musiche dei film composte e dirette personalmente nei suoi maestosi concerti dal grande Maestro Ennio Morricone.

It’s 2 different songs, “the good the bad and the ugly” and “ecstasy of gold”

Monteverdi did this split singer thing only with choirs.. You should know this, it gives the voice a more ethereal sound as if it's coming from the heavens!! I'm just going to say here I still can't get over the death of Patricia Janečková who lost her battle with breast cancer. I remember her when she was on 14 or 15 singing, at a beauty pageant, Once Upon A Time In The West. This is all soprano and really hard to sing..The girls in the pageant, well just watch their reaction it's priceless!!!
Thanks so much for sharing. So sad about Patricia Janeckova😢
@@AaliyahCapili Maybe a look at her because she was a great soprano..It would be nice to do something for a fellow singer..She was 26 which is way too young!!!

A real bad arragement😢SO MUCH GREAT MUSICIANS, WHO CREATED A BAD ARRAGEMENT....WATCH 1 MUSICIAN, AN INCREDIBLE MUSICIAN, PLAYING ALONE: JAMIE DUPUIS, A CANADIAN GUY....HE PLAIED: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY....BUT, WHAT HE EXPLODED, WAS THE THEME OF THE EXCTASY OF GOLD....😢IT'S JUST A MASTERPIECE....Sometimes, some classical orchestra, should just play Chopin, or Bach, instead trying to play other things😂....Sorry....😂I, really, liked to see you singing... It was great....Peace from France 🌹

@julienmarquet8612 maybe you should consider getting your money back from the University, or maybe because you don't understand the word arrangement. There is a big difference between watching and listening through a medium or sitting in a concert hall.
