I love the point you make about having to compete with a listing or a shop that makes 10k a month. Helps a lot with the perspective I needed. So in September I tested 16 listings in my new shop. Spent $43 but because of sales made I only owe etsy $1.83. I've now increased my ads from $5 to $100 a day, adding listings and prayers from her. You guys are awesome. God bless 🙌🏾
Thank you! I tested the cost of printing a design I made and it was MORE EXPENSIVE to buy a frame and print a poster than it was for the buyer to simply buy it pre-made from me. Not to mention, they buyer has to pay for the download.
Unfortunately POD doesn‘t work as well in Germany - we have very strict laws on return policies for products bought on the internet. If the product is not personalized for the customer they generally are allowed to return it with no reason. So I‘m mostly looking into digital products
Having started with $0, we decided to do print on demand on two platforms which don't require any upfront investment (Zazzle and Society6), while doing purely digital downloads on Etsy. We had heard that due to the time lag between making a sale using Printify and getting paid when the customer's payment clears, and having to pay for that product before the $ hits our account, we decided to operate this way to reduce any possible charges before payment drops.
Great info. Hybrid is where i am right now. had some POD sales, ready to start the digital side of things. I find the 'number crunching' etc really helpful. 😀
I keep hearing that Printable wall art is a major seller. With AI & prompts being sold, it’s fairly easy to come up with products. Selling them is a different story. The common questions revolve around sizing that may not be a traditional aspect ratio.
If you process your AI-generated images through a program such as Lightroom or Photoshop, you can crop and save them in the standard aspect rations. I find that 2:3 gives a range of sizes that are standard, and save them at 300 PPI for downloads.
hello , thank u for all ur efforts it is a very interesting video that i really apriciate much. i have a question plz : can i open an etsy shop with 7 diffirent digital niches designs ( t-shirt, tumbler, blankets, kitchenware , jewlery, )when first regitration ?
I had planned to offer a digital png store for crafters and small businesses but have become interested in POD. It seems so many digital files are offered in bundles for CHEAP! Like… bundles of tumbler wraps for a few bucks. Would it be weird to offer designs for others to use on their designs but also offer POD products in my store? Maybe offer some bulk design bundles and some physical products as well? What would be the best way to develop this store without it being “messy”?
I was thinking in selling only POD because of piracy, it will be easy for unethical people to resell our products in other markets or continents right? Maybe just sell art with not too much value as digital? What measures can we take to protect our work?
Anything you list on the Internet WILL be stolen, that's unavoidable. I try to protect my images by watermarking the listing images, and noting in the product description that the images the customer gets will NOT be watermarked. And I include the right to use my images as POD designs, but ask that they not be sold as-is, in a way that will compete with my original listing. Not perfect, but at least I would get my sale. After that, I figure I will take the hit. With AI, you can create a thousand images a day, so there's no shortage.
Hi! I’d love to get into designing birthday/party/event supplies! I have designs but all I see are blanks for apparel, mugs, blankets etc… any advice on where I can find reputable places that print party supplies? Anyone have any experience with this? At this point I’m thinking digital is best
Yes… tHats my question! If I’m creating a design for a shirt why not sell it as a graphic EXCEPT that now you have “the rub”….you’re giving people both options. Which sounds good…but like, “here’s a cute shirt or here’s the design for it”. I’d like more insight on this. Great video guys!
I've been running my shop as the "hybrid" model. Works like a dream 😀

Fascinating fascinating fascinating conversation. Excellent POV’s about both models. Very current discussion too.

I’m figuring the big shops would make use of my design and my POD items would get lost in the shuffle.

Yes, these are just all different product listings. Etsy doesn’t care what you list as long as it is a product they allow. Hope this helps

Wondering this myself.

The Zazzle POD platform has a lot of paper products, banners, signs, etc. You might find what you want there.

Maybe some designs digitally only and different but similar designs physically?
No reason not to give both options if you want to!
@@brandcreators I would think it’s a bit more nuanced than this. Several things to consider.
Thanks!
yes
Great info😍
One person can open only one shop or
can open any number of shops
Yes as of right now you can open up to three shops but I have been told you can request more. Hope this helps
For making 3 shops do we need to have same bank info and same email? Or need different email addresses for them?
@@saj2458 one email account and 1+3 shops on it, as I know
Cha-Ching!!!
