I am just blown away by how my 8--lbs. workout on the squat machine did absolutely nothing and how this no weight workout is getting visible results. This is a true kinesiologist
I have to tell you. I've been following your videos this past yr. But this one because of you I trusted. Let me explain, last yr I had 2 inguinal hernia surgery repairs. As a paramedic the 1st they mesh repaired only because of mesh failure had surgery again 5 months later after it failed and strangulation of bowel with obstruction occurred. So after doing workouts especially legs you could see my apprehension. So I waited. It been 5-6 months since a good leg workout. I did it this week, got off the bench and everything you said it was. Ton of blood( felt like there was a full bag of saline pumped into each of my thighs) and calves the same. I gut wanted to give you a heartfelt thanks to this old guy. I've been a fan and continue to be and thank you for giving. Thank you brother.
Something I've always been taught is not to allow the knee to extend beyond to toes, but Ryan is doing that repeatedly in this video. For people who have bad knees that could be a real problem.
Leg day tomorrow perfect timing. Also best fitness UA-camr out there no bs straight to the point. Also who is complaining about your artwork? Lol. Luckily I can do pistol squats.
Joseph campbell😳 my man! U just boosted your rep with me x10 ...killer leg workout man! They just started issuing stay at home orders here in central Texas(they r doing it by county rather than statewide) so I’m stuck at home with nothing but my two 25’s and some weeks worth of quality proteins and meals. ‘If nothing remains, just me and my gains
Love his communication skills plus simple ways to do things. He always seems to align himself with both ways easy way and hard way. I am an avid gym regulars with big legs etc but I always look at his tips to improve my over all look. Thanks Ryan for doing what you do mate. good on you.
Dude, I've been doing your at home workouts for push, pull and legs this past week and a half and it is kicking my ass! I haven't hurt this much in a long time. Thanks for the great vids!
I just want to say, I absolutely love your videos. Such great information, variations in technique to really push or get different areas of muscle groups. And I really appreciate your general attitude. So fun to watch these videos, get a great pump in fairly simply, and just feel great! Thanks for what you share!!
That calf raise is no joke. I'm nursing some ankle tendon split tears but I also need to get after it. It sucks getting old but it beats the alternative.
Dude I love your videos and they way you train and get to the point, good stuff man. I have a suggestion for you. Since the virus is keeping most people inside, some people don’t have weights like myself. What’s your take on doing push-ups and pulls ups everyday for an extended amount of time. A lot of people and fitness gurus are saying this is the way to go and are preaching nuclei overload. Same way guys locked up in the pen work out. They get jacked just by doing push ups and pulls ups. Im very interested on this topic and wanted to know your take. Thanks my guy, keep posting content always looking forward to it.
My brother did the same thing as a kid..up until he met dad's favorite belt. This one made for round three of leg day..those calf raises were the cherry on top + love the artwork!
I love how you mentioned the tightness of the hips from sedentary careers and how we can fix it. Just like you, my legs are naturally big. I’m tired of the traditional squat, lunges, etc. so thank you for the video. It popped up in my feed just in time. ✊🏾
Thanks brother for all your improvised home exercises for us in this time. Although, I'm not home getting stiff, I'm out wrenching keeping those essential trucks on the road. So I'm still in my evening workout routine. Your bi variations of angle and geometry have been nailing mine in ways I never have. Thanks again for all you post, I put much value in what you instruct.
when i grow up i want to look and function like ryan humiston im 26 years old right now and have been training hard and eating right for a few years in the last four months since i found this channel i learnd a lot more then i did all these years
I'm sure you just hear this a lot, but your legs are amazing! You look like you have never skipped let day in your whole life. Thanks for this vid. It gives me some options when I want more variety.
When I got depressed my thigh muscle is completely gone. I think because I wasn't really doing anything. So I kinda look heavier on top. I was wondering if you can do a longer video tutorial about growing your thighs/legs at home so I can follow. I am 41 yrs old and losing the weight that I gained when I was depressed and I want my thighs to be bigger and strong again. Thanks for the video! New subscriber!
My most recommend leg workout is to do Shaolin/Skater squats, Sissy squat, Romanian Deadlift, and squat-good mornings. 5 sets of 10 reps should feel easy.
Seriously, thank you so much for making this home workout. I’m usually working at a “big box” gym as a trainer all week but since this viral apocalypse closed us I’m scrambling to make new plyo movements and this is all great stuff.
Great video man! Your enthusiasm and dedication to helping others in their wellness journey really shines through. Great book rec - Love the Hero's Journey!
@RyanHumiston Hopefully you will not stop these home workouts once the gyms reopen. For a beginning like myself, your workouts are very helpful before I take on weights and other equipment in a gym.👊 Thanks a Million!
standing calf raises is what ive always done, sometimes on one leg, and holding a dumbell (alternatively use a huge packed luggage bag ) but the exercise you showed here for calfs never done before, will give it a go, thnks!!
I have always been a full range of motion guy, but this constant tension thing is something I think I am missing. I have trained legs most of my life and I think keeping constant tension would really help me smoke those legs faster versus more reps/time. Going to search your vids to see if you have something on this constant tension concept. Thanks for the ideas!

Another great video! I will try the pistol squat alternatives.
I like how he keeps his videos under 5 minutes - to the point!
I can finally do all these weird movements because there's no one to judge me at home
I can judge you
😂
you're killing me and I love it....
Helping drive me to a better me.
Prior to today I had never been afraid to attempt a calf raise. It's a brave new world folks.
LMAO. Wait for the ending, folks. Gold.

I scream-laughed at this 😂😭
i literally could never find a good glute exercise for me. but the 2:00 one IS SO EFFECTIVE THANK YOU SOOO MUCH, i can finally train my glutes

Outstanding exercises for leg workouts ...great video. Thank you !
These body weight exercises had me sore longer than I have had at the gym in a long time. Thank you for these!
Thanks Ryan. Needed this workout with the gyms shutdown. Along with Jeff Cavalier you are the most genuine of trainers.
Best training/diet/inspiration on UA-cam.
You really are the best at this online. Thank you very much.

The reference to the Joseph Campbell book got me. Now I know why I like Ryan so much.
for anyone reading this wanting to do legs, the key is the tempo keep it slow and really feel the muscle since you dont have heavy weights
I never tried pistol squat, just to protect my ego.. Stay blessed.
Appreciate you boss. Thank you for keeping it short and sweet and to the point. Unlike the others who take 20 minutes to explain something.
I traditionally loathe leg day and this workout is concise, seemingly perfectly designed, and a total leg beatdown. THANK YOU SO MIUCH RYAN!

These workouts blow my mind! So effective and creative!👍
My brother did the same thing as a kid..up until he met dad's favorite belt. This one made for round three of leg day..those calf raises were the cherry on top + love the artwork!

@@THExxGHASTxx53 I've never done pistols, but do the Bulgarian squats occasionally. Is it easy transitioning from those to pistols?

I used to tell muy mirror that until I found your channel......now I'm a well rounded individual!!!!

Great Vid . Nice simple home .
I actually feel these more the next day more than a leg workout with weights. Good stuff.
Last exercise savagery🔥
This video deserves a👍🏿
I don’t have a mustard chair. Does that mean I can’t do this?
Sorry bro, that’s exactly what means....
shut up
I think mustard chair means a chair you don’t mind spelling like booty after a couple sets
It's an obvious no, I'm sorry. Just Ebay a used one and get next day delivery
that's funny.
Excellent book choice😁
Thanks man!!!!! Need this!!
