Solid video. I definitely recommend wrapping your landing gear with pool noodle as the landing gear do not float. I learned the hard way with my PA14 and had to go snorkeling to retrieve one.

Thank you and oh I know they don’t float. These are my 3rd set.

Going to install the Boonedox system this morning on my NuCanoe Unlimited. Cedar Creek Outdoor Center sent me the standard kit, which they say is what I need to avoid some extra steps, so I'm going to try that instead of the track kit you used. BTW, I solved the Black Pack problem with two 1 1/2 inch pieces of aluminum angle that I cut and drilled to fit the Nucanoe Unlimited tracks. They attach to the Unlimited tracks with the Mighty bolts so I can slide these forward or backward as needed and my 16x16 Blackpack is cradled in and anchored to them by two quick release straps. This also gives me a little extra storage under the Blackpack, if needed. Now to watch your video again before I start on the Boonedox.

That’s awesome. I just upgraded to the Sandtrackz wheels. Going to do a little video on those as well.

Good deal. If they made the top track like 2 inches longer it would have worked with bigger black pack but I am good now with the track packs and I use the pack more for other things more than tackle anyways. So I will be ok with smaller one.
Should have just gotten the Boonedox to begin with but I just sold the cart so didn’t lose too much. You will like them. Makes it super easy.

Hey Mack. We are good. Just trying to get on the water but ran into a hiccup this weekend with my truck. Damn modern diesels are ruined. Thanks EPA. So still working around the house right now. Will be back strong starting in March with the first KBF Trail event. I might as well watch a little football this weekend for a change. Talk soon.

If Nucanoe extended those rear upper gunnel tracks a little bit, you could get the boonedox bar closer to the seat and have more room for the black pack.

Yup that is the fix but I will be fine with the smaller one. With the Trac Pacs I will be fine. The Black Pack is more for drinks and stuff anyways and my terminal tackle.

I've been looking for a video of Boonedox being mounted on an Unlimited. I usually carry my kayak on a galvanized trailer, but sometimes, depending on the situation, carry it in the truck bed with a bed extender. Also, I prefer not submerging the trailer when fishing saltwater. No problem launching, but I'm 79 and it's getting to be a bit of an effort lifting the nose back onto the trailer or bed extender bar when taking out. Do you think the Boonedox would help with this?

Yes boonedox would help with this because it’s a pivot point. Putting the wheels on when kayak is in the water will be a lot easier for you. But when kayak is on the trailer just slide back a bit and install wheels and push off. When bring back to trailer or in bed if the truck it makes it alot easier to pick nose up higher or just to on the trailer for sure.

Thanks for the video! Do you think those wheels can handle the added weight of a trolling motor battery? Also, do you think they would hold up going off the beaten path?

I have taken over beaten paths with them. It’s bouncy. The hey do make the softer wheels as well that Jeff Little runs around with. I was thinking about swapping wheels.
They can handle the extra weight but if path is rough for a long distance you may want to put battery in front of kayak till you get to where you want to go. But I have these on my Hobie too and so far so good after 3 years.
