Q tip The only thing he was really calling janky was Ken's side-B's since they're very rarely used by Marth players.
Yeah, but these were the original champs. They're watching people who did amazing things for the community. Scar helped put Smash in EVO and Ken made many discoveries for the game like dash dancing.

+Miguel Melendez I think it really depends on the situation. I like commentators that create hype for big matches and finals, but when it's overdone it's cringeworthy, so I definitely see where you're coming from.
one commentator should do hype, one do tech talk.

He hasn't retired! He has played in every national tournament in the past year. He just sucks sooooooo much that he never places well. Ken sucks now and he has always sucked
He doesn't practice with full dedication. He was or is full time school, and also is playing Smash4 a lot now. He has not always sucked. As I said, he was the best in his time. He's a very smart player with great knowledge of the game and fundamentals. However he hasn't kept up with the times and followed the meta / tech. So he's not one of the best now. He will always be a great player though. Go watch pewdiepie and egorapter. Watch the documentary again and spout nonsense.

this was one of the first smash vids i watched about a month ago before i got into it. after figuring out who everybody was, their backstories, and the history of melee, this video is so much more entertaining to watch :D

Damn right. Ken is the reason I play Marth to this day. Been playing and following the scene since it began and he's always been my favourite. Such a simple, efficient playstyle.

But when I saw Ken play as him (I was 11) I was like, Marth is BADA$$. From this day (I'm 12 now if there's I wanna' play Marth like it's Ken
Racked Up I have noticed that Kens Playstyle of marth is drastically different, also very hard to play. MOST Marths are spacing chars, but Kens Marth was that super Agrovative Marth,

Marth vs Capt. Falcon is probably the best match up and hype i have ever seen.
EVO is a yearly fighting game tournament that is probably the most popular fighting game tournament in the world. Melee usually isn't played at there, but it was selected this past EVO as the wildcard game because the community raised the most money to fight cancer. The funny thing about watching this set now is that 2023 Scar would thrash the Scar playing this set, but 2023 Scar is a much worse ranked player than 2013 Scar.

I keep having melee matches spoiled by seeing the amount of time remaining in the video, giving away who wins the last game while I watch. On some of the bigger matches you guys should consider putting a few minutes of empty video at the end of the matches, as to conceal which game will be the last while watching. Would make these a lot better to watch. Think about it :)
