Vevor Diesel Heater Setup & Review - It Has a Place In The Hot Tent & More

- I jumped on the diesel heater train lol. I wanted an alternate source of heat. It can help sustain the wood pile, be used when the wood stove goes out, ice fishing tent, wall tent, as an emergency heat source to prevent pipes from freezing when the power goes out, and for pure convenience. They have a place in the camping arsenal. Always be prepared and never rely on this solely for survival. Have the proper sleeping bag and fire-starting material. Use a carbon monoxide detector and check fittings for any potential leaks. They won't be for everyone and if not used properly they will not function properly. These are the knock-offs of the original design with some quality control issues but parts are fairly inexpensive and they are not that difficult to work on even if you are not that mechanically inclined. I hope my setup helps you and has shown you another alternate heat source to use in the field for glamping. Great video! I really enjoyed the fact that you took the time to thoroughly explain all the functions and the mods on the heater.
I've been toying with the idea of getting one of these heaters myself and after watching your video, I think I will. Keep up the good work!
The video was a little long-winded, but I just kinda wanted to show the whole system that I built I love building things so it was a lot of fun. I like learning from others and sharing my knowledge as well, and I’ll do it together.
great video and very informative. thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time putting this together and playing with it. My small hot tent test I did was very successful. The video is a little long in spots but I wanted to show the whole start up sequence so people know. Patience lol as many might think it’s not starting correctly. It’s around 5 minutes to get going.
Hi Gary from the UK here grate video very interesting and informative keep them coming and thank you , I was wondering if you can help me first of all what model of bluetty power bank are you using and can I plug the bluetty to the mains electricity to charge the bluetty and still use the bluetty to run my diesel heater at the same time for heating my work shop for long periods of time.
Thank you so much for your help,
Yours sincerely Gary Nicholls
Thanks Gary I appreciate the kind words. Mine is the BLUETTI AC70. Yes it will still run the diesel heater and will still remain charged while plugged into the wall. Hope that helps.
Used mine once winter tent camping. So far I like it. Any ideas on how to waterproof the controler? My heater is outside the tent.
I was thinking of ideas. Maybe tape a plastic see through cover over the top so you can still use the remote. But better off make a small tarp cover with a section to accept the exhaust as the unit I general is not waterproof. Depending on how much room I like a teepee style cover that goes over top. Let’s water run off
Great video. Do you happen to have link to manual? I'm trying to change some settings, like change to English etc

what happened with the diesel filter, we hardly see any liquid passing through
I kind of thought the same thing. It is hard to tell but there is some in there. Not sure if the harder reduced diameter fuel line makes any difference but I doubt it. I ran it 10 hrs straight without a hitch.
On almost EVERY VIDEO I HAVE WATCHED ON THE HEATER NOBODY GOES INTO DEPTH ON HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER TO DIFFERENT OPTIONS
What cigarette lighter adapter did you use? Do you have the link?
NOCO GC003 X-Connect 12V...
Can you explain why use the cigarette adapter extension
Well it can be used in 2 locations. In your vehicle or anything that has a cigarette lighter that produces enough power to run it and it also plugs into my BLUETTI power bank
@@BlueSea_72 thank you for the quick reply. I recently bought a EB55 and I have read where it worked for some but not others. And it was because of the spike in Amps to get the glow plugs going. After that it's no issue for the power bank to run the heater. I have read multiple times where people had changed the adapter to something similar to yours. I was curious if you did that for a similar reason.
@Dorkus_ well theyare of high quality and I had a bunch lying around so I utilized it worked. Maybe luck or the quality lol
@@BlueSea_72 I don't doubt it. I guess I'm confused because I don't have the heater yet. So I don't know why the plugs they come with would not work. I just remember reading a couple messages on yt where people said the blueetti shutdown because of the amp spike over 10a. Then again I've read and seen video of the opposite! Such as here where it works for you. Lastly I was just curious about the adapters and how much they are actually needed to start the vevor off the blueetti. It makes sense I just wanted to ask someone before I bought it.
@Dorkus_ Mine works perfect with my BLUETTI but I have heard Jackery’s do not always work. My particular heater came with bare wires so I had to come up with a solution
