Today I replaced my fuel pump and all hose’s because the original fuel pump was leaking. Only one year old. Added a fuel filter because it didn’t come with one. Hit start and it took a couple of minutes to get going. Ran it for couple hours with no problems. Ready for winter! 😁
That’s awesome to hear, I primed mine before the first start. I know when I have installed the espars and webasto on trucks they always have to be primed or they don’t go:) thanks for letting me know.
I started the machine without priming and it works flawlessly. Overnight I watched some videos like your where people priming the units and now a have a lot of white smoke and a few drops of diesel to exhaust. I just stopped the heater after 2 minutes. When I have the time I will try to get of the leakage.
What i want to know is, how the f is it that you only have 600 subs? That does not compute. Josh Jacob is not a name that Ill soon forget. Keep it up. This is great content produced by a competent creator. No way you dont get all you are after..😉
I have a brand new Vevor heater. Your video is very useful. Do we have to prime every time we start the machine or only the first time we fill up the tank or when the tank gets empty? Thanks for the answer.
I’ve heard people say that these don’t have a properly sealed heat exchanger chamber and diesel fumes can get in to your living quarters,,,have you experienced anything like this with this particular brand????
If this would work safely for me I have a really good idea for it I could put it right outside my house and come through the basement window with the actual heat duct pipe and run it into a already existing furnace register vent I wouldn’t try and do the entire venting system in the house just one coming into the living room I’m very worried about fumes though
Thanks for the vid. From your experience would you rather keep the heater inside the space (obviously exhausting outside) or outside in the elements? Does it even matter?.. I’m installing in my truck camper for hunting down to -10c.. not sure if I want to mount inside (fuel pump sounds dreadful) or have it outside and plum the heat in? Picked up a Vevor 8KW model. Cheers.
@@Trentkursen I would say either option is ok but if you have to heater outside you will want to have the inside air circulating through the unit. So you will want to plum a hot pipe from the unit and return pipe to the heater inlet (not the burn chamber fresh air intake). Doing that will help the heater run the most efficient and you will get the most heat out of it and adjustability.
I have really enjoyed it so far. I have about 6 hours on it at this point. I am hoping to get it out this season more and set it up in the garage as well
My question is this. Can I connect a plug on the end of the two wires it came with that screw onto a positive and negative pole? Can I connect a cigarette lighter plug to it and run it off my powerbank
FYI I replaced with a heavier duty fuel line bc the one they had was sketchy but it’s opaque so if you have a time frame rec that would be greatly appreciated!
The wiring of our vevor remote control got cut off from the machine by accident and cant open the controller to fix. We bought a chinese remote co troller and connected the wiring, but it doesnt seem to be working. Any suggestion?
ignore the ha8ters, nice video young fella ! Some peoples kids ehhh ! Just ordered 1 for my garage to take the chill off in the winter. Hope to keep garage 12-15c for half a day at least will update my findings in a few months ,Cheers...Alberta ,Canada
I cant figure out if the fuel line has to be full of fuel or have air in it. Mine is almost all air and just little amounts run down the line but it still runs. Not sure if that’s correct or not.
Mine is the exact same way. Have you figured it out yet? Mine is almost completely air with it trickling in from the pump. It seems to be running fine although the pump is a little loud. It tried priming it a little longer but nothing changed
in 2024, this doesn't work. The controller is different. You need to #1 disconnect the power. #2 connect the power. #3 press the down button for 7 seconds. This will start a 300 second fast pump. Should be enough time for any reasonable length of fuel line. Just don't touch any other button between #2 and #3.
The fuel pump delivery is 0.2 ml per pump and the pump is a electro magnet with a metal pisten..the only lubricant is your diesel..In short to prime by the pump your destroying it as 0.2 ml ea pump will take way to many cycles to prime metal on metal..they push harder than they can draw..there not like a car pump with a diaphragm.. I'd avoid using the prime operation at all costs and prime it manually..especially using the Chinese flex fuel line.. It should be 2mm internal hard nylon for the fuel delivery to work correctly.. Prime manually and protect your dosing pump..
It does not come with a fuel filter, I am sure adding a webasto inline filter wouldn’t hurt as long as the flow isn’t restricted. I personally have seen many units in transport trucks with no filter run 2000 hours without a hiccup and lots longer.
If that’s how they write the directions with worse English than a 1st grader. How can I trust they made the diesel heater safe? I already puchased mine but man..that is concerning.
I was ready to toss my diesel heater but I watched your video and it saved me. Thanks.

Same as mine, my tank was cracked from the get go

@@danielp.52 thank you for your comment:) you only need to prime it on first start of if you run the lines dry/out of fuel
Thanks for sharing

I figured it out four minutes into this video without your help

Why? Did you share this
I guess I got a junk until.. I did the prime.. fan kicks on blower blows cold air. Then shuts down.. no error codes
thank you!

Run mine off my power bank personally.
Can you install one in my van?
They make some great kits for vehicle installs as well as lots of great online resources to help with the installation.
How long to prime? I have heard somewhere that overpriming can cause oversmoke at start
I just let it prime till I saw the fuel go into the heater/ fill the lines
How do you make the lcd screen brighter can see information on screen hard to see
I just found out it was set for 24 v, I'm 12
How'd you switch it?
Thank you! One question though! How long do I need to prime for? Thanks

@@ShelbyBishop0223 I would only let it prime 20-40 seconds.

When you started to read the directions, i started to hear circus music.
I just received and set up for use and it says ignition plug error.
Vevor, i can hear a slight buzz when is attempts ignition , then error 3
Mine the same error 03 , please how to fix it?
What power is connected
I used a 12v deep cycle battery. I also sometimes I connect my 7ah lithium battery or my power station I made.

It starts at 3:37.
Mine ran for two months now it won't start an error code 026 🤷
O26? Is it a Vevor unit? Might have to call their customer service for help with that
