To do the job completely and correctly it still comes down to pad size to reach all the areas. Every car I've done required a combination or at least one of the 1,2, or 3 inch pads so every vehicle required the use of the rotary until now the I've invested into the Rules Nano i-bred which is a sizable investment. For enthusiasts and pro's the rotary would have to be the first tool purchased to do the job right IMO.

Actually, IMHO a rotary polisher should be the LAST choice a newbie or even an improperly trained enthusiast should choose as his or her first machine . . . this is due to the fact that a rotary used incorrectly will very quickly burn through the clear coat in a matter of seconds. THE safest tool is definitely a DA and perhaps even preferred by pros for the polishing phase of a complete detail. To use a rotary safely, requires a LOT of experience and supervised training by a real pro.

Excellent video. As much as I want someone to just give me a perfect combo of polisher, pad, and compound, I realize that there is no magic bullet. Following your good advice though will get me pretty darn close though if I can be patient, experiment a little, and listen to what the paint tells me.

I truly agree with this video. The Flex XFE7 just doesn't cut it at all and all the hype is just BS. I have the Rupes 21mm and with the washer mod and cuts and finishes like a champ while the Flex XFE7 was literally useless in providing the amount of power and cut needed to finish the job in a one step. Seriously i am back to my rupes and most likely will only use this Flex as a finisher for like Jeweling. Maybe this tool wit be great for someone just entering the detailing business and choosing the Flex as their first dual action polisher but seriously if you are a rupes user. Stay with the rupes because this is like a porter cable 7424 juiced up but not that powerful.

Another great informative video Sandro, my question is, if you could only have 1 machine which would you choose Flex, Rupes or Shinemate.
    Thanks

    I have a question.
Spring is coming. I always clean my wheels thoroughly after the seasonal wheel change. i bought
CarPros DLux wheel coating and want to know if you would coat the wheels before storing or not until autumn when they go back on the car. does the storage period affect the coatings longevity?
As always thank you very much for your videos!

I've recently acquired 3401 (new but second hand so the price was undeniable) and had a chance to use on two cars so far. Works great but my god I was exhausted after 10hrs of correcting with this thing. I find the torque steer being overwhelming at times, especially with the fresh pad and on the curved panels. Not sure if this is really my cup of tea. I'm always looking forward to when I need 3" and grabbing my PC7424 lol. Free spinning DA feels like a toy after the beast

Thank you for the feedback good Sir. Being a weekend warrior it's hard for me to justify a purchase of a "good" DA. Although I hope one day I'll pull the trigger and get one. Living in US griot's g15 seems like a good alternative to rupes price as well as warranty wise - lifetime warranty sounds very attractive. Have a you happened to have a chance to get your hands on one of those BOSS polishers (G15/21)? If so, how do you find them compared to competition?

Very well said. as far as Adams polisher - I've heard of it but never looked into it in detail. I definitely will now. Again, just want to say how much I appreciate all of your time and efforts with youtube video - I personally find them extremely informative and very well directed. Please keep them coming and you have your life time subscriber! cheers

Car Craft Auto Detailing for a medium grey car. Looking for durability and great shine. Would you rather recommend fusso soft99 or Wolfgang 3.0 high gloss? Price doesn’t matter.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing

Yes, any polishers can as long as the etchings are still contained within the clear coat and haven’t gone through to the base coat.

Car Craft Auto Detailing So if I have now Das6 pro is Shinemate EX605 or 610 worth to investment? After that I can maybe use my Das6 pro with 3” pad for smaller sections.
