Actually finding a good candidate restoration at a sane price is proving to be very challenging, I too am looking for a 3rd generation charger. You got a straight body, solid frame, with engine/tranny for just $2500. You did in fact get a fantastic deal.
Wow this is beautiful cant wait to restore mine
Just discovered your Chanel. Love it !
Thanks
Man is there any way for me to ask you some more questions I really need some help doing mine has 318 with 3 on the tree colum shift
73 charger owner as well. Badass ride Brother
Man, you and I are doing the same thing for our 73s! We need to connect, I will show you what I have done to mine!
I’m glad you didn’t wrap the bumpers in gold, it looks much much better all black! The gold would have ruined the look!
Thanks for the video. My brand new 1973 Charger SE Brougham was a luxury coupe.... on a teacher's budget. ;) Don't know about opera windows on a muscle car with opera windows. I still love chrome. Have fun.
Beautiful car! I have a 74 charger that I've had for 2 years. 727 trans with a 360. Thinking about a 440 as well or rebuild the engine as a stroker. I'm in fire school right now so it's been on the back burner lol. But can't wait to seriously work on it again. Great video and thanks for the advice and tips!
I learned to have the front end higher. If you bottom out. You mess up the front end alignment.... I had a 71 charger with a 400 ci.
I have been working on my 73 for years. Everything except the break pedal has been off. Kind of stuck on the wiring. I have new distributor but not sure what to delete. Good job on the car.
400 block is a low deck. 440 is rb which means raised block which means higher deck height
Adjusting the front height adjust your torsion bars
I rattle can spray paint many parts on mine . They look great and nobody would be able to tell.
No shame here. Nice car!
Merica
I have same car 318 3 on the tree been try to find out if there any more out there with that set up
What do you need to know?
@@henrymeynier5072 everything you can tell me what part do I need to make it an automatic and do I need to swap the k member for the 440 or just the mounts do I need a different crossmember for trans
"It ain't perfect, but its perfect for me"
Hopefully I'll be getting mine this week.
Nice Charger. Been into MOPARS since I was a kid. Thanks to my father! Hope to own one some day
Fantastic job! looks great! When you do decide to get wheels and tires it will totally transform it, but it just looks awesome Well done.
you my kind of preacher love to connect bro
i’m onto the trail of a 73 440 charger
Change the differential fluid. You’ve already done everything else.
Nice work on your ride sounds mean…looking for one up in Minnesota, hard to find one up here. Everything so rusty.
Thanks for the comments , you may have to expand your search to other states and pull it back. That is what I did, and just because you see rust inspect it. Like this car it was only surface rust so I easily removed that. You could find a gold mine with a little extra work that others have overlooked.
Im from Canada few hundred miles north of yah. I use to buy my 71-74 Chargers here in the mid 80s for $200-500. 5 in total...with no floors and rusted 1/4s. Snow and Salted roads ate these in a matter of 10 yrs. I budget built them and flipped them for around $1500. Usually 318 cars but put 440s in a couple from 78 Police interceptors. Great job on budget builds. I think I will find me another
Check out classic industries for new parts.
Andy Poole is a Mopar god
Yeah great guy and I would not completed this if it was not for his help.
