Dragonforce were formed in the UK in the late 90's and are still, at the core, guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman... vocalist Z.P. Theart was the original singer... They wanted to take Swedish guitar legend Yngwie J. Malmsteen's shredding fast style of lead guitars to the max. They debuted in 2003 w/ 'Valley of the damned'... followed by 'Sonic Firestorm' in 2004. 3rd album 'Inhuman ramage' became the hit of 2005 and sold gold in the US (half million copies) thanks to the singles 'Through the fire and the flames'... and 'Operation Ground & Pound'... Dragonforce became a main feature of the 'Guitar Hero' video game. 4th album 'Ultra beatdown' was released in 2008 and capitalized on the video game fame w/ the singles 'Heroes of our time' ... 'The last journey home' ... However, there were problems on tour which resulted in singer Z.P. Theart being fired by 2010. In 2012, Dragonforce announced new vocalist Marc Hudson and their 5th album 'The Power Within'... but the discontinuation of 'Guitar Hero' affected the band's popularity. Still, Dragonforce persisted w/ new albums - 'Maximum overload' (2014)... 'Reaching into infinity' (2017)... and 'Extreme power metal' (2019) and they still proudly display their love of beer and video games onstage. Dragonforce are on tour for their latest album 'Warp Speed Warriors' in 2024... the current line-up includes - Gee Anzalone (drums) and Alicia Vigil (bass)... Keyboardist Vadim Pruzhanov left Dragonforce in 2017 and their keyboards have been programmed for their live concerts since then.
Awesome reaction, I saw Dragonforce in concert a few months ago and they are just as awesome live! They are definitely my favorite band! My favorite Dragonforce songs are: Fury of the Storm Cry Thunder Three Hammers Ashes of the Dawn Power of the Triforce
Some of their more recent songs are faster than TTFAF. The Game and Judgement Day from Reaching into Infinity, Burning Heart, Pixel Prison, and Killer Queen from Warp Speed Warriors are all faster and more insane.
Dragonforce is no Speed Metal, its 100 percent power metal.just because its fast it doesnt mean its speed metal, sounds confusing but thats how it is. Speed metal came up in the early 80s, Bands that fall under this genre are Exciter, Atomkraft or Agent Steel
Don't be surprised if Herman Li (who runs the band's channel) leaves a comment on your post here. He used to do this often (I'm not sure about recently). Check out Cry for Eternity. (Not sure if they have a video for this). The guitars are even more impressive than TTF&TF.
In my opinion this version is the correct version to react to. Besides the fact it's the "official" version on Dragonforce's own youtube channel, but also because of the focus on the guitar solo/duo. However, the full song is about 2 minutes longer! And while most people focus on the insane guitar shredding, they miss the fact that legends say drummers can only play this song once then they are taken to Valhala ... the drumming is just as insane as the guitar. Then the keyboards ... also insane! You are now ready to react to Tina S through the fire and flames. She a guitar prodigy who played this song when she was 15. Go check her youtube out ... but when you do, you should "react" to her stuff. Trust me, people will want to see that!
Slow motion hair!😂 Definitely guitar virtuosity going on here. Speaking of metal, any plans to cover the NEW Jinjer song, Someone's Daughter? I think you would love the video and the message of the song!🤘
