In July I was traveling overseas. The airport security officer in England said yeeha those cowboy boots are cool, in Singapore the security officer smiled and said cowboy boots. I have many more stories like this. This is true, American cowboy boots are well known internationally.
I like wearing my black suede cowboy hat out and about. Definitely catches attention so you definitely need to be ready to get some looks and questions. More than often, when people stop to ask me about it, it’s about where to get one. One of my favorite accessory pieces for sure!
Goat leather really is a thing of beauty. Holds up to all day use, durable and comfortable. I have some mad dog goat leather Black Jack boots and goat leather Lucchese L6620's
Then they were like so many wearing shoes, wearing the wrong size or cheap low quality 🤷. Cowboy boots are only as good as their fit and the quality of the boots helps a lot. A proper shank, soul and width is essential for any footwear which is all too often overlooked to save a dollar or two.
Great video, Antonio. I have several pairs of Tecovas boots and own a lot of boots in general. Unless I'm working out, wearing shorts, or barefoot, I wear boots. I definitely agree with your comment regarding wearing boots and confidence. Once you start wearing them, yeah you may have to deal with some negative comments, but eventually when wearing boots becomes the norm for you, the negative comments will diminish. With the right fit, they are extremely comfortable. If you have never tried them, you owe it to yourself to give them a try. You may find you love them. Now go get a pair of boots!
Very interesting. Also heard a theory of Mongol origin, certainly they look similar. I don't see many guys wearing cowboy boots in England, I have three pairs. It would be good to see more guys wearing them, so cool. Tony
Great video Antonio! I loved learning the history of these American icons. Maybe there's enough history for a video on cross necklaces? I wear one every day. ❤
Haha, reminds me in high school when several people realized the dress code, which intended for leather dress shoes, was written in a way that left a loophole to open for cowboy boots. By the end of the year a least a third of the boys were sporting cowboy boots, some with seriously flashy designs 😆
I have watched Ms. Ashley Weston's vlog on the shoes men have to prevent from. And now, I am looking a lot interested with these cowboy boots now, alongside Red Wings, Thursdays, White's, and Nicks boots. Much love and God bless you sir. ❤👢🥾
Not a fan of her channel, she has some good points though but you will have to decide for yourself what your particular style is. I love all boots including whites, redwing thursadays and western boots.
I watch some of her videos and also saw the one that you speak of yesterday. Overall, I thought she was right about some, but wrong about others. I liked the comment from the guy who said that cowboy boots are a cultural thing. He’s right. She’s way off about plain toe oxfords with business casual or casual. Huh? So then wear to a wedding what you’d wear for business casual? I don’t think so.
Great video!! Glad to finally start seeing some videos on western boots!! Not too sure about the Tecovas but have about 20 pairs of Lucchese, Black♠️Jacks & Heritage
I own three pair of Tecovas. Their build quality gets better every year. Customer service is second to none if you have a problem with something, they will take care of you. Tecovas may be the “new kid on the block”, but they are real boots.
@@ScottieKnoxville I've just about had all thier rock star boots the Barrett, the Brady OG, the Blake & the Cooper and some others for a spell. Wasn't quite my cup of tea, sold them off and upped my game.
One day I'd like to be able to order a pair of custom cowboy boots that are made to fit. That and a custom made hat where they use a Conformateur to get the exact shape and size of my head.
Baseball hat might be culturally more significant. Not everyone in the U.S. has a pair of cowboy boots let alone the rest of the world. The baseball hat is everywhere.
I've been been back on the family ranch for over 20 yrs now. I do not wear cowboy boots. For one simple reason. They are expensive, but wear out just as fast as a cheap pair of Ariats. Working in dirt, mud, brush, sh!t, and stirrups 10 hrs minimum a day every day will wear out a leather pair of boots in about half a yr. Leather quality, I believe, plays a big role with this problem. With feet, i prefer comfort over practicality. There's a thing with cowboy boots that people need to understand. Nomally, you break a shoe in to feel comfortable on your foot. With western boots you break in your foot to feel comfortable in your boot.
I love a good pair of boots, but living in New England makes it hard to get a comfortable all weather Western boot you can wear in all weather in the city and the country. Leather soles don’t have good traction in wet weather. I had a pair of Justin Ropers when I lived in NV, and I literally wore the soles off of those things.
I live in western PA and I had that problem when I wore my cowboy boots. Especially in the winter. Walking down the sidewalk was a challenge. Walking up was more fun. Now I have a pair of Ariat work cowboy boots and I don't have that problem and I wear them all year round.
@@Joey21071 thanks for the tip; I will take a look. I have a nice pair of Frye Artisan Roper’s that I like a lot, but they have leather soles, so i can’t wear them too often.

Miraculously Hyer boots is selling boots again, owned again by the family. Pretty impressive revival of a storied brand.
Crazy how much of our current identity as a country came from that time era

Every Texan that I know grow up wearing cowboy boots, and wore cowboy boots every day of their life have foot problems.

I never had any negative comments whenever I wore mine.

Love 'em! Here in NC, boots are all I ever wear...
Awesome video!!!!
I love my boots they're on my feet every day of the year.
I love cowboy boots. I never knew there were so many different types. But I hate that all those animals had to die for the leather. Good video thanks.

Thank you so much for the boot loves!

thank you!🙂

I buy Lucchese boots.
The gold standard of Cowboy boots.
Very informative and interesting.
Compared to your last video about cowboy boots at least this is a good okay brand!
I love me some Tecovas boots. The Dean is my favorite.
And action stars! Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris are huge boot collectors, an homage to their film heroes growing up
My all time favourites

Nice Ad.
For wearing spurs need heal that comes out futher from back of boot so spur bracket can rest on heel otherwise it will fall down behind heel
Baseball hat might be culturally more significant. Not everyone in the U.S. has a pair of cowboy boots let alone the rest of the world. The baseball hat is everywhere.
Jeans should have a little stack on the boots
For me finding western boots in my size, 13A, is very difficult.
I've got some Tecovas Chelsea boots. They are nice.
Ikr?😄
I own a pair or cowboy boots and a pair of roper boots that i wear all the time
I would say that denim jeans are at least as iconic as the cowboy boot.

Now we must ask the important questions. Pants inside the boot or outside???
Yes Antonio, but do they send to United Kingdom? Year ago I tried to buy the same company, said no. Thanku
Harness boots ??
Yeah….. Village People were fans of those boots 👢 🤔

Plantar fasciitis says absolutely not
All I ever wore were western boots all my life even with diapers still love them till this day

Western boots are fine but for me I will stick to my White's as they come from my corner of the Northwest.
