Your jeans are way too tight around those boots!
I do agree. You can see the top of the boot pushing out the pant leg. If he is going to wear them that way he needs to have a strap to cinch the shaft or use a zip tie. Also the pants leg look to long for the boots creating a slouch look so he should have cuffed the jeans. I prefer the right length wranglers with boot cut so I don't have to deal with it.
I disagree. I don't mind it at all. They're on the slim side, but not too skinny.
@@BeastMadeReviews To each their own. Anyways, I just want to say thank you for the channel/video content. You are a man of many interests.
@@NoOne-ki3bm thank you! I appreciate your support!
Also get some heavier jeans. Not that much heavier, just a speck
Love wearing cowboy boots!! Have several pairs.
Typically wear Lucchese & BlackJack.
Great video, glad to see you finally make your way into some cowboy boots!
thank you! Were you the one who suggested cowboy boots? I know someone did but I forgot who. It was on my radar for a while, but after I got the comment I realized I needed to expedite the video idea. 😁
My boot cobbler highly recommended ostrich leather boots. He claimed they were the most durable and long lasting boots that provided the most comfort. He said if you bought boots that were made from animals that crawled or swim the boot leather would not last because it would eventually crack. The other leather he recommended was Kangaroo. He said it was the most popular leather until ostrich came into the scene.
Ostrich is a great leather. It’s naturally scratch resistant so it does seem more durable and softer than bovine leather. It’s pricey though. Kangaroo is actually my favorite leather. It’s the strongest leather in the animal kingdom and is great on shoes and boots.
@@BeastMadeReviews how do those two fair against something like the Chicago horween chromexel leather like found in grant stone boots?
When I am at the gym I wear sneakers but any other time I wear cowboy boots. My favorite brand is Rios of mercedes followed by Black Jack.
Yeah okay Mr chump change
Ariat and Chisos are the only brands I buy. Ariat for work and Chisos for dressy occasions.
I have a wide and flat foot. So square toe is a must for me. I have a pair from Tecovas. Beautiful boots. Haven’t worn them in a while but I’m tempted!
They're the best!
Nice video…for basic info. I own a horse farm, so I’ve been in boots all my life. I’m a business man, in a suit often and I wear boots then too. I have boots in all price ranges. Lucchese was the preferred choice for quality up till 10 years (or so) ago.
Black Jack is a great off the shelf brand offering a wide variety of styles. I only wear snip toes, so many brands now focus on square toes- I’m old and I can’t get wide toes in my stirrups. Lucchese still makes a great custom boot , starting around 1200 I believe. I have 3 pairs of Chisos snip toes. I think Chisos are the best value of any off the shelf boot. If they had more styles I’d recommend them over Black Jack.
I’ve bought a couple of pairs of tecovas…out of curiosity. They are fine for a fashion boot, but for all day wear - at least for me - they are trash.
thank you for your comment! I appreciate your input!
I thought I was stuck with basically compromise, until I shopped in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Cant remember the name of the store. But my eyes were opened to ANY boots or hat I might want is out there I look. I grew up wearing the "Biker harness" boots.....Kids....I would wear out two pair per year, with driving and play outdoors. At 61, retired medical... My one pair have now lasted over eight years. No resole needed.
God Bless.
Hey Dave I like that you are doing Cowboy boots. Last time I was following UA-camrs was years ago when I was into fragrances and you doing your Fragrance Bros channel. I have been into Cowboy boots too now
Right on!
I have a pair of distressed round toe boots. They weren't terribly expensive, I bought them from our local Farm and Fleet. I use products specifically designed for care of distressed boots.
I have been wearing cowboy boots a while. Started wearing them with khakis when I go into the office or work functions recently and get a lot of compliments.
Just bought some black Ranch Road boots with a French Toe for “dressing up.” Haven’t had them out yet, but can’t wait .
My favorite boots that I own are from Don Juan, Rios, and Anderson Bean. All of which are located in the Rio Grande Valley. Lucchese is a staple but they do seem different than the Luccheses my grandfather has owned since about the 70’s. I own a pair and they’re pretty sharp but it’s hard to justify the price tag. The only boot company I’ve heard about on the list is Tecovas. I’d say they’d be good for a dance on the weekend or some kind of gathering but I wouldn’t go to hard on them. Some of the earlier ones I’ve seen had horrendous build quality but hopefully they’ve fixed that by now.
This video came on while I was in another room. It only took a few seconds for me to recognize your voice. I’ve watched many many of your perfume videos in the past!
thanks for watching!
Great video. I'm neither a rancher nor I own horses but I love cowboy boots.
Can't believe I missed this one but I've been working my arse off lately. Regarding Texas, having grown-up in the '70s watching Westerns and shows like Dallas, I imagined half the dudes were wearing Tony Lama boots, a seersucker, and a Stetson. Well, not too many but there I did appreciate the few men who worn them (the hat and boots) when I first visited in about 2007. Nowadays, few and far between...unless you head to Fort Worth. I'm trying to get everyone at work to wear a cowboy hat into work on Fridays. We shall see.
Anyway, my problem with cowboy boots (have a couple pair) is they look great, but are so damm hard on the knees. I'll check all these out. What would you say are the most comfortable pair you've tried?
Next up Cowboy Hats? My go-to brand is Resistol, made just down the road in Garland TX. Cheers!
Thanks, Jim! From my small sample size of these four brands, Chisos were far and away the most comfortable. They make a great insole that is very comfortable, but also make the foot shape able to fit other drop-in insoles (unlike other brands).
Back in mid 80's I had a pair of Grey Sharkskin boots loved them. Don't see sharkskin anymore and the Grey went with everything
I'm a Texas man born & bred.
I used to always wear Roper Boots but once I went to Square Toes?
I wear them everywhere, even in the summer when I'm wearing shorts. 😅
Can't beat a good quality fitting boot. They last for years. I only own boots & 1 pair of house shoes. 🤟
I love my cowboy boots I wear them all day , at work, I run in them and play with my kids they are by far the best footwear I have ever owned or wore.
Olathe is the favorite for me. Love some tall flashy buckaroos. Cowboy boots are best when they’re over the top and cool as hell. Any yeah… sometime you gotta get REAL county and wear those suckers over your jeans to show off the stitching and colors. I’m from the stick though and we get crazy with our boots.
Great video, I wear my cowboy boots all day every day with no exceptions...tactical boots when training but that's another story, just get a proper pair of jeans, the shaft of the boot looks kinda funny with jeans that are too tight, specially if the shaft is 11 inches tall, for that... skinny fit and stylish look for for something like Levi 514 or any boot cut jeans like the Ariat M4 or old wester from wrangler, that'll make your cowboy boots look better
I don't think the shafts are all that big, just that your pants are too tight/slim, for these you need a straight cut jean. Great choices tho!
I disagree. I don't mind the jeans being on the slim side. I think that looks better on me. Some brands had shafts that fit me better. Thanks for watching!
I bought a pair of Artists, not top shelf but great just the same. Because the sole was hard rubber when I had the toppy put on the sole I also got the shoe guy to put what they call here a lady's heel toppy, it's harder than the rubber heel so now I get that essential "clunk" when walking. BOOM.
I've been wearing cowboy boots since 1985 no shoes, I got my first pair in 1963,but being raised in New York in the early days I couldn't get them.but in 85 I started back .
Best boots you can buy, Chisos, Alberta boots (they make the Canadian mounties boots and boots for the Calgary stampede), and Hondo boots.
For off-the-rack boots, i dont think you can beat Heritage Boots out of Austin. But I'm pretty partial to custom made; there's just nothing like wearing a pair of boots made to fit your foot.
I would love to have some custom made boots/shoes. I'm sure it's a completely different experience.
Hey Dave my honest input and constructive criticism is you should go with a straight or regular width leg opening like the ones found on the 501 and 505s not the slim or skinny leg opening tho. I think you will like this cut and dimensions
thank you, but I don't mind the slim leg.
Great point....I will NEVER tuck my pants into my boots. And having to 'pull down' the pant legs every time I get out of a vehicle looks like , I don't know, like I have fleas on my legs.....Wear your boots while trying on new pants. Size variation will have you going back to exchange , if you don't try them before buying.
Wow he showed the Weston ostrich round toe that I just bought 😆 crazy that this video popped up
I love my Chisos, they are built well, and super comfortable.
Chisos No.2 are great!
Almost all of the old standard boot companies, like Justin, Dan Post, Tony Lama, they have gone way off the rails and are living off of a once good reputation. I liked your list. A friend has some Tecovas boots and he likes them a lot. Boots are hard to find. I wear Ariat work hog boots all the time. Comfortable. I work in my boots. As for a nice dress boot? I don't do that anymore. My dress boots are some Allen Edmond Patton cap toe boots. It is getting harder and harder to find decent boots anymore, be they lace up work boots, cowboy boots, you name it. Companies want to use glue and inferior components. I know Thursday is now making a cowboy boot. Not too expensive and thought I might order a pair to check them out.
yeah, I know a couple of brands that are using inferior construction and charging a premium price. I don't like that. For some companies, it's hard to tell if they are cutting corners unless someone cuts the boot apart (like Rose Anvil). I would be really interested in seeing the boots from Thursday. I've stayed away from them for a long time because of the hype and controversy mix. But they do make boots at a very attractive price, so I guess no one can complain about that. Thanks for your comment!
@@BeastMadeReviews OK, will pull a check on Thursday. I have seen Tecovas AND there is a store within reachable distance via pick-up truck AND I could try them on! That is really important to me. The 28yrs of military service in crap combat boots ruined my feet. No more arches. The Roper heel is a must. And to think I used to wear tall riding heels a long time ago? Yes, Weston at Rose Anvil does good work. Thanks for the videos. The viewers cannot test all these products you examine, so thanks for the information.
@@sisleymichael I appreciate it! Let me know what boots you get. I'd love to hear your opinion.
@@BeastMadeReviews Roger that. Still shod currently, but I will eventually get more.
Might need to dish out a little extra but Chisos is the best product you can buy aside from custom boots. Every other brand as you've mentioned especially Lucchese
I started wearing cowboy boots in high school back in the 70s. Still wearing them and I just bought a new pair a few weeks ago. I have 2 pair a pair of Ariets and a pair of Cody James. I have a serious question for you. I never took very good care of my boots and here I am at 60 years old cleaning and conditioning them a few times a year. Please tell me, am I supposed to be putting leather conditioner on the shafts? Or just the vamps? Thanks so much. By the way I drove truck all my life and most of my career was long haul coast to coast pulling reefer . My boots really fit into that occupation because I use to see the bull haulers out of Nebraska and Wyoming and they all wore cowboy boots. They are the real deal!
thanks for watching! As for leather conditioner, I would put it on everything. The leather might not absorb as much on the shaft, but you can always wipe off any excess left over. The same goes with shoe polish too. You'll use way more of it on the vamp, since it scuffs more, but the shaft starts to lose some of its color and luster, a little polish will bring it back.
😅Great video. Cowboy boots are addictive. Once you get your first pair, it never ends. One of my favourite brands is Alvies, a brand out of Austin, TX.
Totally agree! I haven't tried Alvies yet, but they're definitely on my radar! Thanks for watching!
Yes! Tell me about it!😊
Great video! I have two cowboy boots. Ariat and Canyon Trails.
Very cool!
Hey I forgot to ask you Dave, the black boots you take off using the boot jack in this video are those Chisos?
yep! Those are the same Chisos in this video. I used the Chisos Boot Jack, so I thought it would be best to pair the boots with it.
Cool video! Have you ever heard of brand called Caborca Boots from Mexico? I got a pair and they’re really nice..
I haven't! I'll have to check them out. Thanks for watching!
When I'm asked "how do I break in my new boots ?"
Answer; WEAR THEM.
It's not the boots that 'NEED' to break in...Its your feet than get used to all of the support.
'Mole skin'.....Or the new clear ,waterproof long bands (bandaids) help alot. Put it on BEFORE you get blisters. With the record heat here in S. E. Arizona, I can see so many reasons cowboy boots were 'invented'. They help with the heat while walking kn hot roads and rocks....Walking the dog,for example.
you don't need a "sole-saver" the sole gets tougher as you walk, it will be fine
No no. Leather doesn’t get tougher. The more you walk on it, the more it will wear. Sole-savers are just a way to prolong the life of your boots so you don’t have to resole them as often.
No Toby's correct. A traditionally made cowboy boot has a leather sole that will get harder and more durable as time goes on.
Between this and the skinny jeans you're WAY out of your depth on this topic.
In addition if you do a lot of work in wet conditions a tippy or sole saver can actually trap moisture and ca
accelerate the destruction of the leather.
But since most of these styles will just be worn to the office it's probably not that big of an issue 😅
I get my boots from Spain A more narrow shaft and Cuban heals, Ultra Cool.
Chisos are nice! If I’m spending half a grand on boots, I’m skipping the other brands and getting chisos. Hyer look good too
Yes they are!
I have one pair of dress shoes for work. Otherwise I just wear sneakers or cowboy boots. And just the 1980s pointed toe Justin's and Tony Lama's. The older I get, the more I wear just what I want to wear, and that's just my cowboy boots.
For sure gotta get some cowboy cut jeans my man 😂
I think I'm good. I think these jeans look great.
The Weston is what I got. Same color as yours
Awesome! Great boots!
Try walking into the OK Corral in Skechers 😅
Those boots are very awesome looking
I think so too!
Cause their awesome
Waiting for those timberland cowboy boots to drop in nevuwary
Becks from Amarillo custom made. Not cheap but worth it.
I would highly suggest that you purchase some jeans that were meant to be worn with boots. Wrangler cowboy cuts are my favorite and are the cheapest. Ariat, Levi’s, even Kohl’s brand bootcut jeans work amazing. But hey they’re your legs so do what you want.
I just don't like the look of boot cut jeans. But I'll say what I've been telling others: I appreciate the comment, but at the end of the day, the video is about the boots, not jeans.
I totally understand, it’s just a miniature pet peeve of mine. I loved your video, I have no idea how you buy so many expensive boots but someone has to so we can hear the review! I might buy one boot at that price range once in my life, better do my research!
@@tristinbihn9691 thanks for watching! Luckily I don't have to buy all of them. Some of them were sent for review.
Did you hear about boot cut ? Wrangler's are best, slim fit especially :) Try
Consider getting some wider pants. Maybe so slim straights for a start
I have wider pants. But I think these look fine.
3:47 the stitching is there to hold the shaft up.
the embroidery is just decorative.
@@BeastMadeReviews I remember reading somewhere that the stitching serves a dual purpose. Decorative but also helps maintain the shaft up. Without the stitching the shaft would just fall down. I could be wrong but I'll try and look and see if I find that info again.
@@culichi0776 hmm. Interesting. I don't know for sure, but I have seen boots without embroidery. In my research, I didn't see any info about the embroidery serving a functional purpose, but maybe you're right.
@@BeastMadeReviews who knows. Either way, great video.
@@culichi0776 thank you!
any thoughts on the brand, Cuero?
Haven't tried them yet!
The guy I bought my boots from told me to scuff up the bottoms when I left the store. Starting to think that was a bad call
Why not
Must be nice having a D or EE width foot. Those of us with narrow feet have way fewer options. Sucks.
but can you sprint in cowboy boots? Can you workout in Cowboy boots? can you hike and explore in cowboy boots?
What are you getting at? That good shoes have to do literally everything?
Another great reason to wear boots is walking through the woods, with briars, thorns and protection from snake bites. I realized this one day wearing tennis shoes, briars would grab my laces and hang my feet up, boots cut right through brush.
Sorry dude. Skinny jeans just look a bit goofy. Not a good look in my opinion. But wear what you like. That’s what is important. They are called boot cut jeans for a reason.
they're not skinny jeans. But the jeans aren't the point of the video anyway.
@@BeastMadeReviewsthem shits looked painted on you bro
@@darksidecoops great. What do you think of the boots?

But where do the chisos rank for you? Are they your personal favorite, number one? Where 😂
chisos for the win!
Cowboy boots DON'T go with everything - such as "shorts". Here in south Florida, it's mostly T-shirt and shorts, even in the so-called Winter season.
I like the Medium Square toe my favorite and versatile
7:03 wtf under NO circumstances wear cowboy boots with no socks that's gross
many people wear them without socks.

Tony Lamas look great! I really want to check some out in person some time. As for jeans, I'm not a gatekeeper. I think people should wear what they want. I think these jeans (they're not skinny jeans) look great with cowboy boots.
Don't wear skinny jeans with boots

lucchese boots
tell me you are sponsored by chisos without telling me you are sponsored by chisos
I'm not sponsored by Chisos. No one sponsored me. Did you see a sponsored disclosure? People can and do love things in life and want to share their enthusiasm about the thing they love.
So what if he was sponsored not a big deal
100 year old Cowboy Boot brand here out of El Paso Texas, unfortunately your information is kind of inaccurate and the size your wearing is too big for you. The cork bed sole is a sign of a low end boot quality. I'd be happy to reach out to you to discuss.
I appreciate your concern, but the boots fit great. They're all pretty snug out of the box.
Skinny jeans are for kids. Boot jeans are the best choice😅
I think grown men should wear what they think looks best on them.
No hate but those jeans are too tight for cowboy boots. I dont like wearing baggy pants either. You should look into Wrangler retro slim boot cut jeans.
I think it makes me look cool.
You lost me at the $125.00 washed out cotton shirt in the very beginning!

Not cowboy boots with skinny jeans!

It seems to me that you are targeting a particular
Urban, Upscale audience. That's Great, More people should be wearing Cowboy Boots.!!!
That being said, you should teach people the "RIGHT WAY TO WEAR BOOTS WITH JEANS."
No offense intended, I just thought the video didn't show how great Cowboy Boots look with

And I'm sure you will be surprised. All respect to you. It's the Cowboy Way.!!!
I’m not targeting anyone. I’m just highlighting good boots. This wasn’t intended to be an exhaustive list. I couldn’t list or show every great boot brand. As for the jeans, maybe just take a breath and relax. Let people wear boots the way they want instead of being a gatekeeper.

I had a horrible experience with Chisos. They can’t get the sizing right and the attention to detail from a quality and finish it’s just misses big time. Must be spending $$$ in advertising.. and I wonder if the reviews are true.
That hasn't been my experience at all. Maybe you got a lemon?
@@BeastMadeReviews this is the 3rd return. I got a response saying that they have had boots with incorrect sizing. I’m about to go for another return and a full size up. So far this took over a month, this was supposed to be a birthday gift for myself. I’m pretty bummed.
@@Mishanw dang. Sorry to hear that. But I will say, once you get the sizing right, the boots are phenomenal. I think you will love them in the end. 🙂
@@BeastMadeReviews I sure hope so. It’s been so frustrating.. I feel like all the hype is about the insole. But I’m not sure if the over all attention to detail, finish and quality meets the hype. @@Mishanw I love the insole, but that wasn't what sold me. I do think the overall quality is impressive.
What a load of tripe, "cowboy" shirts for $125? What does a guy have to pay for a bit of denim?
so you liked the boots?
Handmade boots are always a good thing and the amount of hard work that goes into making them is likely worth the money. If you can afford them get them they should last years. A shirt is a shirt though.@@BeastMadeReviews
Get a handmade shirt then and see how much they are.
Get a normal shirt, see how much they are.@@BeastMadeReviews
Goodness. Now you just want to argue. You must be 12 years old. No wonder.
Your pant legs are way too tight…. Great video though
Am I reviewing jeans or boots?
Your jeans tell me you do not wear cowboy boots. Also it is dead obvious you did this video for sponsor only.
I’m actually wearing my Chisos today. My jeans look great with it, thank you. Oh did watch the video? You probably didn’t notice the part when I didn’t mention any sponsors at all, meaning that I obviously was not sponsored in the video. Your comment tells me that you have a chip on your shoulder. I hope you have a better day.
@@BeastMadeReviews no, they dont look good. Skinny jeans are objectively bad and goofy looking when paired with boots. You look like a fool to literally anyone that actually wears boots their whole life. City boy wannabe look. Shaft printing is not a good look. Looks bad and unproportional.
First, they’re not skinny jeans. Just slim. And I think think slim jeans with boots looks great. If you disagree, maybe you should learn how to use your manners, if you have any.
Yeahhh dont take boot advice from a dude who wears skinny jeans.... you listed some overated hipster boots.
These are all great boot suggestions. If you are too close-minded to suggestions outside your comfort zone, there are kid channels you might like.
@@BeastMadeReviews Chisos is a good choice if you cant do a traditional hard leather insole. All of these newer boot companies having their boots made in Mexico are all the same with a different name. And yes some are designed with slimmer tops to fit under a slim jean. I mean look at their ads. There are still boot makers making boots the traditional way without plastic here in the U.S that rely on mom and pop shops that get pushed aside.
Your choice of denim does all the boots a huge disservice. No balance, and they end up looking like clown shoes. Obviously you should wear what you like but also a public video invites critique a d that looks dreadful.
I can just ignore critiques I find superfluous. I think you should ignore something in the video that is unrelated to the boots.
@@BeastMadeReviews How the jeans look fitted over the boots is...unrelated to the boots? How you chose to present the wearing of the boots is...unrelated to the boots? That's a wild claim that is objectively pretty silly.
That's a pretty wild claim.
@@walterpiper8947 I disagree. I don't even need to wear the boots to review them. If you need the perfect pants for a review, we will agree to disagree.
@@BeastMadeReviews You're right. You didn't need to wear the boots to review them. But you did and you made them look terrible. Good work!
@@walterpiper8947 glad to help
Tecovas are great looking; however their Quality is not the best. Not handmade made. Fabric Made in Mexico. Their steel shank snap easily. They are just horrible boots. Great looking but HORRIBLE QUALITY
Terrible brand choices.
False.
