To be a guest w/The Dave Mathew's Band and your talent blows away the band as well as the audience, you've accomplished something. Every lo band members is thunderstruck by Celisse's talent. You go girl!
I am so proud of Celisse, she has been very talented since her childhood. Celisse is my Cousin on my Mom's family side. The whole family is gifted in music artistry🎼🎶🎵🎶💖
Bro it hasn’t been 50 years yet. So chill. Also 12/2/98;with Warren is the best ever. Maybe you don’t recall going back 50 years when Dave was 8 years old or whatever but do some research
That moment when a new ICON is born. I was there that night and I died and was resurrected by this staggering performance! Literally took my breath away.
Celisse is the new BBKing and Jimi Hendrix rolled into one amazing human!!!! Never seen her before until I saw her at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Now I’m in love!!!!
This brings back great memories! I was at the Gorge this beautiful night! Celisse was on fire and she added so much to this great band. Love her voice and her shredding the heck out of this solo!
From here in the UK, got to say, that was a blast. Look forward to seeing Celisse at Glastonbury, Reading, Isle of Wight, Wembley, where I'm sure she'll be headlining in 2023! She's amazing!!
Iconic moment! I really think this was one of the best moments in music for quite some time. Glad to have been there to feel it! The crowd was in awe of what was just witnessed. DMB faces say so much watching this music prodigy come to life with the great DMB.
Saw Celisse last year at Levitate Fest and will see her again July 2 opening the Outlaw Fest followed by Plant & Krauss, Dylan then Willie. Can’t wait!!! She’s so awesome!
True enough, however I think a lot of us from that time period who played guitar as I did played Jim’s version. Not to take anything away from the great Bob Dylan..! No offense mean….! Thanks…..!
@@michaelscott2269 I still think Jimi's version is the best cover version of any song, and much better than Bob's, second is Joe Cocker's version of With a little help from my friends". Cheers
As an old fart I remember fondly the acoustic version on John Wesley Harding. Most folks these days seem to think Jimi wrote it. My guess is that this doesn't bother the actual author much at all. He recently cashed a cheque for several hundred million goatskins for selling some song rights and the Hendrix rendition would be a large factor in why his catalogue is worth that sort of goofy money. And most of Dylans live performances of this tune over the decades ,with a bunch of different band lineups, are clearly homages to JImi.
This just came up while I was working, and the video was minimized. I was not looking at the screen and thought it was just another DMB version of this song in the background. Then I heard Celisse. It was like listening to a song while a hurricane makes landfall. Amazing.
If you go to my Instagram (@copperpot5) and scroll back to December 5, I have the Tim/Bela duel from Albany (1998-12-05) clipped out there. Not sure if the full 12/5/98 show (nor other winter 98s w that duel) are on YT at the moment.

Fortunate family to have her as part of it. I was introduced to her within 2 years ago. She is fabulous!
Saw Celisse tonight in Hershey PA opening for the Outlaw Festival. My son and I enjoyed the whole show. WE LOVED CELISSE!
She is awesome in this video. Amazing
I love her powerful voice, could use some more of her music!
You should be proud. I have tickets to see her in Scotland in November. Can't wait.
And so, little boys and girls, this is where babies come from.
Oh man… Celisse was channeling Prince’s vibe from his performance of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” for this epic jam… love her!!!
The drummer and trumpet basking in Celisse's energy. Love to see it
I love that the whole band was completely impressed!
Celisse getting a smirk out of Tim is an accomplishment.

Sister Rosetta Tharp and Jim Hendrix had a love child? Who knew???

@@ApocalypseNowWithEli You could be right about Warren but I was referring to Jimi Hendrix. That is 50+ years ago.

Somewhere in Heaven, Sister Rosetta Tharp is smiling.

Anyone know where I can find DMB when he plays dueling banjos with Bela Fleck?
