- Neuro Doodle art lesson is inspired by Neurographic art and is great for teaching mindfulness in the art room. This design project is perfect for middle or high school art classes and is excellent for distance learning, homeschool art, or art in the classroom. In this video, I share what I learned when I did this project with my high school art students. I explain what worked for me and what I would do differently next time.
Read all about this lesson in my blog post:

Students loved this art lesson and everyone was able to be successful. They learned about line quality and experimented with different line weights. They were encouraged to experiment with layering a variety of art mediums to create both unity and balance in their designs.
Felt tip black markers, watercolor, colored markers, and colored pencils were used in the demonstrations but any other materials can be used too.
This video gives a good overview of how to teach this art and design lesson to your art classes. I do have the full lesson with slideshows, handouts, rubrics, and video demonstrations I used with my own classes.

Heating the tape with a couple quick blasts of a blow dryer, helps remove the tape more smoothly.
Ahhhh thank you! That is a very useful tip. Thank you for sharing!
the examples posted on the wall at the end were mind-blowing.
Your demonstration and instructions along with your calm and positive manner gave me confidence to give this a try.
I always loved art teachers like you that really enjoy the subject matter. Great demonstration.

Use blue painter’s tape. It’s much less sticky.
My daughter and I are going to try this tonight.
Awesome! It is so relaxing. You will love it. I find myself doing it all the time in corners of note pages etc.
Love the results
Thank you!
thank you for sharing...great pieces..
Thanks for watching!
I use narrow painter's tape to hold my paper down. It seems to have less adhesive to it--it was meant to come off painted surfaces easily, so I'm guessing it's a much lighter tack---and it works very well for holding, but doesn't tear the paper when I remove it. Costs no more than other tapes, and is available everywhere (except maybe the craft stores, but I get mine at Walmart).
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I will definitely look into that.
Lovely 👌🏻
Thank you
Awesome!!!

Thank you. I appreciate it. I’ll make more soon!
Mi piace tanto lavorare così domando si può fare en tela per fare un quadro. Grazie si rispondi.
PLEASE NOTE: NEVER MAKE LOOPS.
How were the white lines added, or were they "erased" at 6:17?
The white lines were added with white paint marker.
