I've owned this model for 4 years and haven't had one problem. Pro-tip- if you compost or just don't want to clean the waste bin, put a plastic bag inside first. When done just remove bag and throw in garden or garbage .
I have a compact Breville juicer and with leafy greens like kale, I juice the kale first and empty the pulp because it makes a wicked salad, kind of like tabbouleh (fine chopped parsley salad). Centrifugal juicers make great food processors for leafy greens - you won't get much of a yield from them, but the mulched leaves are great to eat, instead of ending up in the compost.
I have an old juicer that has seen much better days and I had decided that by year's end I would purchase the Breville Elite. This has been the best review I have seen to date. You are very clear, honest, funny, and very thorough. Thank you so much for taking time to do this review.
I borrowed a Hamilton Beach 67601 Big Mouth Juice Extractor but really wanted the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain. I think your review was excellent. The Hamilton was 1/6 the cost of the Breville and from this video I can tell that the results are not that different. I was on my way to buy the Breville too! I want to thank you for putting up this video. It helped me!
I really do not understand why you don't have more views. I think your videos are awesome. You speak clearly and include an accurate transcript for deaf/hard of hearing. Your reviews are very thorough - I'm amazed with how much you cover on what people do and don't want in an appliance. You do a great job of demoing as well. Hopefully you get more popular very soon because your attention to detail is fantastic.
waffley Hi, Thanks so much for your positive comments! I try my best to do a thorough review so it's helpful for viewers. It's wonderful to hear feedback from viewers :-)
Re-juice all that wet pulp after the first round. You will get more juice. And there's nothing wrong with the froth! Pour it all in a container and shake it up before use. 🙃
Whenever I need to buy something , I always come to your channel to see if you've reviewed it Anita.Your opinion is the only opinion , I truly trust.I honestly think you're THE best reviewer on you tube. You're always so thorough & you give your honest thoughts & opinion on said product. I wish more reviewers were like you . However there's only one Anita, & nobody does it better as the song goes lol :D :p.I do however speak the truth Anita, as you are the best.
Hello...nice review. One thing about the oranges is that the white part, or pith, has just as much vitamin C as the flesh of the orange and also contains pectin. In other words you are throwing away nutrients from the orange. Peel orange rind off and discard it but keep as much of the white pith as possible.
***** Hi, glad you liked the review. You're right that the pith contains vitamin C and also lots of fiber. However, it is usually bitter and sour so most people don't use it :-) If you can handle it, that's awesome!
I have been juicing for awhile and have not experienced bitter taste from the orange pith. (try a slice of the pith only for yourself and eat it ) I also leave the pith on lemons as well when juicing them.
the white of the orange contains ingredient that makes u gain weight. beleive it or not, I know as I was on a diet in seattle and had to cut all whites off orange or I would plateau and not lose weight
Hello 👋 I had Nama juice but i am so disappointed, after 6 months of using it the machine is not functioning anymore with leafy greens , it gets stuck .. I am a heavy juicer and i juice every 2 days about 5-6 L. I would like to know if this can be a good option for green leafs? Green juice is the main ingredient in my life… I would appreciate a good advice 💚
My is broken the lock on the right side was loosened, how to tighted the lock my breville did not doing well the beets and carrots such a lound noise. Is seems like someone is vacuuming the carpets. I dont know how to fix it, try to return and exchange at Maycs unfortunately the reciet was lost.
This juicer is not very good at yielding much juice from kale. But very fast with other veggies/fruits. maybe wrap the kale around a carrot or celery, would that work?
+Shirley T. Hi Shirley, this juicer like most centrifugal juicers are not the best at juicing greens. A masticating juicer like the Omega J8006 will yield more juice from greens. You can watch that review here: ua-cam.com/video/Lm9g9pcZN_w/v-deo.html Balling up the kale and following with hard fruits or vegetables is the best way to get the most juice from greens in a centrifugal juicer. Hope that helps :)
hello everyone... i like juicing a lot and i have been using the nutribullet machine... i have been using it so much that im thinking about getting another juicer... never considered one of this fine Breville machines because it looked like the first juicer i got... there was a lot of leftovers just to make any kind of juice... i wonder why Breville does not consider making a juicer such as the nutribullet that leaves almost not pulp... it is said that a lor of the good stuff is also found in the pulp... it would save time and mainly.... we could benefit from drinking the whole thing.... comments?
wow... thank you Virginia for pointing that out.... however the main point remains... is there a machine by Breville that will make use of as much of the fruits and vegetable we use as to minimize pulp or leftovers?
aranda69 I'm not so interested in breville. I have my eye on the omega vsj843 juicer. It seems pretty all purpose. Has a slower rpm of like 43 or 53 ) o forget which). And has a 15 yr warranty... which is insane. It's a vertical masticating juicer. Breville is a centrifugal juicer. Meaning that t has a screen that spins really fast. Which is good if u want juice quick. However it also oxidizes juice and applies heat. So u have to drink it right away and is thought to not be quite as nutritious as a masticating low rpm juicer (Lower the better) since it limits oxidation and you can store juice longer. Omega vsj843 also has a self cleaning feature to it. Which helps in cleaning. Horizontsl masticating juicers are best for straight greens and wheat grass. However are not as efficient at softer produce. Vertical masticating juicers do better with a mix of hard and soft produce. A little more well rounded. But not as great f your just wanting to juice say wheat grass. Centrifugal juicers like this breville are great for juicing hard vegetables like carrots and beets really fast. But are often a pain to clean, clunky and seen by many as inferior. (Although their speed has made it a great advantage to many if that is your priority. And. And you don't have to chop your produce as much. When u use these) it depends on what your looking for. Hope that makes sense. And if you already know this I hope you don't find what I wrote patronizing.
Hi, this is not a cold juicer. Breville sells another juicer named "The Juice Fountain Cold". Here is a link to that juicer if you are interested: amzn.to/2O45KXJ 😀
Best juicer for the price I've researched. My only question, and this pertains to juicers in general is isn't most of the nutrients/vitamins/minerals found in the pulp that the juicers separate? In which case it's best to eat them whole if you want maximum nutritional intake.
+Paul Denet Hi Paul, it's always best to eat fruits and vegetables whole. I think most people juice because it's easier and faster to get more fruits and vegetables into their bodies. Some people might not want to wait half an hour for the kale to cook or hate to eat it raw - they can process kale juice in a few minutes. There is nutritional value in the pith and inside of an orange for example. The juicer will extract juice from both. If you want the extra fiber, I would suggest using the remaining pulp in soup, baked goods etc. Hope that helps. Please subscribe if you haven't already :)
Have you ever looked at how much you would have to eat in the raw to get the maximum intake? Grazing would become your new lifestyle, LOL. You can eat raw while juicing, but juicing gets the micronutrients into your system faster than chewing and digesting.
Hello, thank you for this video! Isn’t this juicer very fast RPM, as you mentioned at the beginning? With such a high speed to juice the produce so quickly, it has to use more heat, which destroys the nutrients. Many people want to juice for the high nutrient content, but this juicer would destroy most of it. Other juicers move slowly, at only 43 RPM, keeping precious nutrients intact.
I have a cheep "big boss" juiced. It looks like its comparable to this more expensive machine. But honestly. I'd rather get a masticating juiced cause it struggles with greens and pulp is wet.
Centrifugal juicers are a waste of money masticating juicers are better ,u get more returns from literally anything u juice ,I have a gormia for about 2 years and I save alot of money ,before stuff was just wasted with my Centrifugal juicer .
I've owned this model for 4 years and haven't had one problem. Pro-tip- if you compost or just don't want to clean the waste bin, put a plastic bag inside first. When done just remove bag and throw in garden or garbage .

We bought our first juicer in 1991. We rejuiced everything too. Gave the rest to my local farmer for his pigs.

Could you please review Breville Big Squeeze? Waiting for your review on that
I've warched all your video on the breville juicers. Which one would you recommend I buy?? Thanks so much!

I Don't know if I should get this or the breville. The only thing that pushes me to the omega is that it has a 15 year warranty and its quieter.
Very good review!!!!! Excellent video!!! You are a professional in this type of video!!!
+kubotamaniac Thank You 😀
when should I put it on slow speed vs high?
Softer veggies/fruits =low. harder veggies/fruits = high. Most of the time anyway.

+CAF91060 Hi, this Breville juicer comes with a one year warranty.
+bestkitchenreviews - my understanding is that all Breville's have one year. Thanks for the review! :)
If you juice some organge and apple today then the hard apple will help juice the soft orange better
Thanks for the video it was really helpful.
How can I get to buy
Would be nice to show the cleaning
