I have had done both since the 1960s. Remember when Vitamix was advertised in the back of Prevention magazine? This was back when prevention was an excellent health magazine. Their selling point was making blended veggie soups that the temperature stayed within the guidelines of eating raw. I still make my green energy soups. The machine had a stainless container and was tall. And of course all the local health stores had books on juicing, eating raw, benefits of produce. So glad this information has been available. I love doing both depending on my body‘s needs at the moment. Organic Garden magazine was helpful in growing veggies. In the 1980s. I have a fast juicer at the moment, and when I'm juicing leaves/herbs (usually baby spinach, rocket, and parsley) I tamp them all firmly down together into the bottom of the chute before I turn the motor on. I find I get the best yield that way, as loose bits don't get flung straight into the basket without getting juiced. I also always save a big chunk of cucumber to go in last, as it helps to flush any residual goodness from the machinery, and removes any stickiness from carrots/apples etc., making it easier to clean after use. Celery works for the same purpose. Just a couple of tips. :)

Yup. I've done that. $20 blender, $1 Dollar Tree sieve. You have to move the pulp around and do it in batches, but it's doable. Cheesecloth would be a lot easier--load it up, wring it out.
My have a juicer but my nutritionist just recently told me she would prefer is I just eat the vegetables. She mentioned most of the nutrition and fiber is on the skin. When you juice you loose out on most of those nutrients and fiber according to her.
@@amarismohammed well he says it doesn't really explain it... The reason is probably so that the juice gets enough time in your stomach for the acids and enzymes to start working on it before it dumps into your small intestine and all the fiber starts rushing it through your bowels and you miss out on a large portion of the micro nutrients and then you also get a sudden loose bowel movement.
Homemade orange juice is exceptionally healthy, always use a blender instead of a juicer as you want the whole peeled orange flesh as it is rich in vital nutrients in the juice. So simple, gather 8-10 small sweet oranges, cut in half, peel, and place in blender, initially add three cups water and blend for 2-4 mins and there you go, fresh instant orange juice. you should get 1 litre to 1.6 litres but topping up with a little more water helps.
I currently use my Vitamix as a "juicer" for celery, I just strain it in a nut milk bag after I blend it for a couple of minutes. Works for now anyway. Then I also use it to make smoothies.
Just come across you Jason, for some weird reason. Possibly the best lesson I've come across in juicing/blending! One thought which did cross my mind, though is, why would I want to put a fresh juice, extracted using my slow juicer, in a high speed centrifugal environment, simply to mix it with blended ingredients? And especially if I'm going to add some chilled water afterwards, when I could add that instead of the juice, then add the juice afterwards instead. One great thing about the Nutribullet is the pulsing facility, so that a load of liquid plus smoothie and/or powders can be mixed together without getting up speed. Great video! Thanks!
So the end I have to get this two , i like the juicer , because sometimes i just like to take a juice, the the pulp i can add to the blender and blend with green apple and mint leaves with almond milk
I had been blending on and off for years. It had definitely made a difference in my life, but I kept plateauing. I just got my first juicer, and it has made a world of difference. Celery juice, carrot juice, and kale juice have been some big game changers for me. I still enjoy a good banana smoothie here and there too.
I have cancer eating up my body. I am not going to do the doctors burn and poison. Could you tell me the best juices for a better immune system? Right now I juice 2 lbs carrots, an apple and celery. I also add turmeric, pepper and ginger.

Great video thank you for explaining the difference with juicing and blending sometimes i don’t know what machine to use but after 15 years its clear to me now what fruits and vegetables to blend and what to juice and what to actually enjoy to eat. i usually juice on a day off for 4 days keep it in sealed glass bottles refrigerated saves so much time and keeps you doing it all the time, instead of stopping, because to juice you definitely have to be motivated have a system that works for you if not its too much work, but thank you great video.
Absolutely the best tutorial. Straightforward and clear. I went and hauled out my Phillip HR 7789 and stood eyeing the juicer apparatus. You inspired me to stick with it and I got it to work. Fabulous!! I'm so damn pleased. Your point about not drinking the food too fast. . thank you!!! Jason, a question, once I have done my blending . ... and there is an interruption and delay before consuming the juice, what is the longest one can wait before drinking? Thank you so much. Greetings from Johannesburg. 🍅🍓🍉🍇🍏🍐
Hi Caroline, you can make up to a days worth and keep as long as they are refrigerated, You can Freeze a batch if you wanted to keep for longer. remembering to take them out the night before you need them. Amy@JuicyHQ. X
💗 Been juicing and blending almost daily since 2007, and I still learnt something from this excellent explanation. I didn't know you could juice the skin of pineapple! 😀 Well that is a gamechanger, as normally slice my fingers to smitterins attempting to peel it.
All I can say is 'eye opener'. Well, not all I can say. I can say 'Thank you!'. I am old, have a juicer and a blender and STILL I am learning. Again, thank you!
Right, I got a nama juicer and it says in the manual no ice in the juicer but they have a recipe book and you say to put frozen milk (ice cubes) and I was like what the heck?? Suspicious. I want to return it I don’t think it yields much juice either!
Please consider what I was told with the same problem by Super internationally recognized nutrition expert(author, speaker, consultant). I was detoxing into my stomach very quickly causing the nausea. I was told to dilute it with. Pure water and gradually work the concentration back up over time. Perfect true results. Good luck!
When blending air in the bowl gets incorporated into the drink and can cause bloating and stomach upset. I use Breville's Fresh and Furious blender with its Vac Q attachment. The Vac Q is a vacuum that pumps the air out of the bowl before blending so excess air isn't incorporated. The drink is smooth and creamy (no foam) and it doesn't oxidize quickly. There are other blenders out there with vacuum attachments but I really like the Breville. I don't have stomach discomfort after drinking smoothies now.
Thank you. I'm looking to do juice fasting for a month & I'm new to the world of juicing. This will be helpful. Did you say all berries are to be blended & not juiced? Also is it best to juice cucumber? 👏🏾👏🏾
It's bird feeding. The blender and juicer basically chew the food for you before you eat it. It's digested more efficiently that way. It's like when birds ....regurgitate partially digested food into the mouths of baby birds.
Pineapple, lemon, ginger and apple are my must have ingredients in juice. Those just makes juice taste great Btw is it okay to store your juice in fridge over a day? Sometime i was too lazy to juice every morning
I’m a blend only person because I think the pulp is the best part. I have a specific eating plan for maximum nutrition and it’s working great. That Nutribullet is the best, I can’t live without it. I live alone, very small kitchen, so there you go. My new toy is the Ninja Foodi combo so off on a new adventure ….
This video gave me the information I needed. Been doing research and watching different videos. I have a nutribullet but I want to do a 30 day juice fast and I believe the extraction of the juice from the juicer would be more beneficial with trying to lose weight and control my blood pressure. Thank for this must appreciated
I love juicing, did the juice challenges a couple of times, but I hate cleaning the juicer! So that's why I love the blend plan. I did dig up my juicer the other day to juice some ginger (with apple), but kind of overdid it. Too much ginger compared to the apple, or maybe the ginger and/or apple was just too old (gone off a bit)?
Today is day 1 of juicing for me and I am using a Black & Decker from Walmart. Would never recommend that one, but I put the pulp in a blender with some water and then pushed the watery paste through a strainer. Again, this is just day 1... If I am able to keep with the program I want to invest in a nice blender that helps me reduce my waste. After blending and sieving the paste, I maybe had 2 tbsp of waste, compared to the nearly 3 cups I could run back through the B&D as it wasn't able to extract it. Thank you for this information. This will definitely assist me in my juicing and blending journey
Great explanation. Bought my juicer last weekend and used it for the first time today. First effort has gone down the sink because I didn’t like the taste (added turmeric and ginger 🤮) but my 2nd effort was quite enjoyable. I wish I had watched this first though, as in the second drink I put in strawberries, blueberries, oranges and nectarines. It tasted devine. Only now you tell me not to juice berries. Duly noted. Thanks for all the info
I really want to start juicing and I have been doing my research trying to find a good juicer but have trouble trusting some lol, unfortunately the one you promote (even tho it looks amazing) I just don’t have that kind of money to spend right now even tho I understand it is an investment in the long run! Does anyone have anything cheaper but still good to recommend for a juicer that will deliver to uk or internationally?
Would you consider a pre owned juicer? I’m interested in juicing but not sure about investing money in a new one if I don’t like it so I’ve been looking on Craigslist/OfferUp and they’re very reasonable. I don’t have a problem buying a used one because I don’t see a difference in between that and buying an individual one from a Jamba Juice type place.
You can juice with a blender. Just blend it up, put a flour sack towel over a large bowl, dump the blend into the towel and squeeze it into the bowl and that's it.. Or you can strain it with a nut milk bag but there more expensive.

I currently have gastritis and tried drink vegetables powdered shakes. But thought about getting a juicer since I already have a blender. I just ordered 1 for Christmas the nutibillet juicer now I just need recipes for my current condition.
I have a nutribullet already and just today bought an omega 843R slow juicer. Just wondering if it is worth upgrading the nutribullet to a vacume blender to stop the oxidation of the blend, especially when mixing juice with blended ingredient in the blender? Anyone care to enlighten me? Thank you.
On your seven-day reset. We already had a Vitamix blender and by lucky chance bought the same juicer you use without actually knowing you recommended it. We are on the sixth-day now and rely on the banana and nut butters in the blends to take away the feelings of hunger. The juices are great - especially the ones with ginger in 👍

Love the way u have explained the differences. I have both a juicer and a blender would it be possible to give a list of veggies and fruits that Is best suited for either
I'm not familiar with the Nutribullet Balance but I had the first model about four years ago; you really had to measure stuff, have the right amount of fluid and make sure that lid was on tight (or you'd have a mess INSIDE your unit, not good for an electrical component). It also couldn't handle celery (the fibers), almonds (you'd always have a few fragments, not matter how long you ran it), hard vegetables like beets and nut butters (had to make sure you only blended for 30 seconds at a time or risk damage to the unit). Mine lasted a year with almost daily use and eventually died. Also didn't have a need for all the cups and the plastic on rubber connection between the unit and the container. Took the plunge, bought a Vitamix 750...sure it was 5x more expensive but you don't need to "process" ingredients like I had to do in the Nutribullet. Pulverizes ANYTHING I put in it...first thing my brother did was load it with ice and turned it into powder (which was quickly used for a batch of margaritas...). Celery and beets, no problem. Also steel on steel lockup between the unit and the container and made in America. Go with what you can afford, but I've always been a proponent of "buy once, cry once".
Hi, you say you cant juice a banana or avocado, but I just bought a Hurom juicer and it says in the instructions/recipes that you can juice these. I'm confused now. Can you confirm please. Thanks Trish

Yup. I've done that. $20 blender, $1 Dollar Tree sieve. You have to move the pulp around and do it in batches, but it's doable. Cheesecloth would be a lot easier--load it up, wring it out.
@@nodoboho takes a bit longer but where there’s a will, there’s a way! Lol
My have a juicer but my nutritionist just recently told me she would prefer is I just eat the vegetables. She mentioned most of the nutrition and fiber is on the skin. When you juice you loose out on most of those nutrients and fiber according to her.
@@Maririchforever he actually addresses that in his other content. Slow masticating juicers preserve the soluble fiber, from what I understand.
That's smart about drinking it as fast as it would take you to eat the raw ingredients : )
Why?
@@sowhat8307 he explains in the video and starts at 2:15
@@amarismohammed well he says it doesn't really explain it...
The reason is probably so that the juice gets enough time in your stomach for the acids and enzymes to start working on it before it dumps into your small intestine and all the fiber starts rushing it through your bowels and you miss out on a large portion of the micro nutrients and then you also get a sudden loose bowel movement.
@@tehs3raph1m thanks very informative !
Excellent information thank you very much. Now I know what to blend and what to juice. I thought there is something wrong with my nutribullet.
Very informative, I’ve been juicing for 3 years n obviously still learning...... it’s a life changing lifestyle!!! 😎
Do you still juice?
I currently use my Vitamix as a "juicer" for celery, I just strain it in a nut milk bag after I blend it for a couple of minutes. Works for now anyway. Then I also use it to make smoothies.
I did that. Once. Then I brought a juicer quick smart.
@@MrsSlocombesPuddyCat finally got mine too! 😅

Glad it was helpful!

Great to hear!
Glad you got a lot from it, keep up the good work. Amy@JuicyHQ. X
You can hear the passion in this mans voice. Thank you
Absolutely the best tutorial. Straightforward and clear. I went
and hauled out my Phillip HR 7789 and stood eyeing the juicer apparatus. Thank you so much. can ya put the fiber left over from the juicer to the nutribullet to not waste the fibre

Please consider what I was told with the same problem by Super internationally recognized nutrition expert(author, speaker, consultant). I was detoxing into my stomach very quickly causing the nausea. I was told to dilute it with. Pure water and gradually work the concentration back up over time. Perfect true results.
Good luck!
Try using a strainer after using the bullet
When blending air in the bowl gets incorporated into the drink and can cause bloating and stomach upset. I use Breville's Fresh and Furious blender with its Vac Q attachment. The Vac Q is a vacuum that pumps the air out of the bowl before blending so excess air isn't incorporated. The drink is smooth and creamy (no foam) and it doesn't oxidize quickly. There are other blenders out there with vacuum attachments but I really like the Breville. I don't have stomach discomfort after drinking smoothies now.
@@nilnil7325 but not everyone can afford that expensive brand.
Thank you. I'm looking to do juice fasting for a month & I'm new to the world of juicing. This will be helpful. Did you say all berries are to be blended & not juiced? Also is it best to juice cucumber? 👏🏾👏🏾
Berries and other soft fruits are better blended. Yes, cucumbers are great to juice ☺️ Amy@JuicyHQ
Learned to much in such a short time, brilliant
Congrats man, you are an expert in causing total confusion.
It's bird feeding. The blender and juicer basically chew the food for you before you eat it. It's digested more efficiently that way. It's like when birds ....regurgitate partially digested food into the mouths of baby birds.
Just be sure to chew the drink though - juicing all of it all the time doesn't release the digestive enzymes necessary.
Great presentation, you just gained a new subscriber. Thank you.
Thank you and welcome 🙂 Amy@JuicyHQ

Pineapple, lemon, ginger and apple are my must have ingredients in juice. Those just makes juice taste great
Btw is it okay to store your juice in fridge over a day? Sometime i was too lazy to juice every morning
After 24hours in a fridge they start to loose the nutritional value. Amy@JuicyHQ. X
You can also blend it and then get out a strainer. I do that for a lot of things I want to maximize juice from. Like grapes
You are 100% right ✅️ a juicer is a kind of waste if I have to throw away the pulp.

I love juicing, did the juice challenges a couple of times, but I hate cleaning the juicer! So that's why I love the blend plan. I did dig up my juicer the other day to juice some ginger (with apple), but kind of overdid it. Too much ginger compared to the apple, or maybe the ginger and/or apple was just too old (gone off a bit)?

genuinely the best health care system anyone can own!!! Absolutely awesome!
Sir, juicing is not a healthcare system
Today is day 1 of juicing for me and I am using a Black & Decker from Walmart. Would never recommend that one, but I put the pulp in a blender with some water and then pushed the watery paste through a strainer. Again, this is just day 1... If I am able to keep with the program I want to invest in a nice blender that helps me reduce my waste. After blending and sieving the paste, I maybe had 2 tbsp of waste, compared to the nearly 3 cups I could run back through the B&D as it wasn't able to extract it.
Thank you for this information. This will definitely assist me in my juicing and blending journey
I'm not up to speed on all the juicers available state side, I'm afraid! Amy@JuicyHQ. X
I am planning to buy a Nutribullet and a Kenwood slow juicer. Time to feed the cells with good stuff!
Glad it helped

Would you consider a pre owned juicer? I’m interested in juicing but not sure about investing money in a new one if I don’t like it so I’ve been looking on Craigslist/OfferUp and they’re very reasonable. I don’t have a problem buying a used one because I don’t see a difference in between that and buying an individual one from a Jamba Juice type place.
You can pick up nutri bullets second Hand. Also, due to the updated soup version, the original ones have drastically gone down in price
You can juice with a blender. Just blend it up, put a flour sack towel over a large bowl, dump the blend into the towel and squeeze it into the bowl and that's it.. Or you can strain it with a nut milk bag but there more expensive.
TheVelvetteButterfly I’m getting rid of my juicer only used it once but now I have vitamix and also I’m really not a juicer.

Love the way u have explained the differences. I have both a juicer and a blender would it be possible to give a list of veggies and fruits that Is best suited for either
Great suggestion!
Trish Kavanagh I wouldn’t read to much into it. Try it, you like it, do. You don’t like it, don’t do it.
