Thanks for the great review I was on the fence and this review was I needed. I went with the 149$ model and couldn't be happier thanks again for helping me make a decision.
I think the same as you ,almost no difference. The video is excellent doing both machine working with the same quantity of vegetables and fruits and we can make a decision. Thank you.
*So far this juicer is a monster. It goes through the toughest vegetables like watermelon rind **MyBest.Kitchen** turnips, parsnips, beets, carrots, etc. like they are nothing. If the blades stay sharp and it does not break it will be a great buy. The cleaning of the screen and blades is the most time-consuming but they send a brush so it is not too bad. I would have given it 5 stars across the board if not for cleaning the screen.*
I lost my brush so now I use a veggie brush. Easy peasy. There are times that I let the thought of cleanup slow me down but I shouldn't bc it's simple. 🤩
Awesome review and just what I needed before my purchase! It may cost more, but I am now going with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL. Thanks Matt!
Matt, great video. Good Visualization, but the most admirable part of this video is the honesty in which both products are presented. Thanks for uploading it.
One of the best videos I have seen on UA-cam!!!! Outstanding job on covering what's important and thank God I didn't have to sit through an unboxing. This is EXACTLY the information I was looking for. I don't need to see another video. Thank you for doing it right and saving me a ton of time.
Thank you for the video!!! Great comparison, I see I do not need an upgrade :) I personally have the $150 Plus, 6 years going strong! Zero issues! Hubby cracked the juice collector, recently ordered the $20 replacement part from Breville - easy breezy fits perfectly. I agree $150 works for this line! Yes, we juice often and a lot!
I think i got really lucky. Bought my juicer from a Facebook yard sale sight. Paid $75. For the top of line Breville. Have been using it at work. All we have done so far is apple juice. All my employees who are from Gutamela, Mexico and India love it as much if not more then me.
I have both juicers. Last year, I bought the JE98XL for my apartment and brought the older Elite 800 JEXL to my summer place. Today I reversed it. I'd rather have my older version elite with me daily then the newer purchase of the other. The JE98XL is good but it doesn't juice kale as well as the elite. If you do more greens - go for the elite. If not, the other one is good for sure. Also, the pulp is more moist with the JE98XL. Thanks for the review- now I need to know a good place to buy newer parts like the mesh filter etc.
Excellent review> I would not worry about burning out the motor with pits and seeds as much as I would worry about cracking the plastic push tube from the impact of a seed or pit. The metal push tube is a purchase factor as well.
Thank you for providing your demonstration. I am definitely happy that you showed us your video. I'm going to get the $150.00 juicer. Thank you so much for your video!
Great review guy. Awesome job breaking down the comparisons. I'm also new to the juicing world for the same reasons. Co-worker put me on to the documentary and I've been losing my mind trying to figure out the best juicer machine to purchase. Think I'm sold on the $150, or juicer plus, version now thanks to you.
Excellent review! I just came home after looking at these two and so this review was perfect. I think I will go with the Elite as I think over time this will be where it shines, I also like the stainless steel better for appearance and cleaning. These machines are huge and so if it's going to be on my counter I want it looking pretty... typical woman!!! 💞
I have the Plus, and it's a PITA to clean, the motor slows down unexpectedly once you get going, sometimes juice or vegetable parts shoot out the gap between the plastics, and the waste chute clogs easily. Going to take it to my mother's house for when I visit, and get an Elite.
Just what I was looking for. Thank you for the comparison. I am thinking of going cheaper and if I am still juicing a year from now, and the plus is showing wear I will upgrade then. Thank you again.
"Sucker" love it lol. Just bought my JE98xl and used it for the 1st time today. I can say it works much much better than my Juiceman Junior. It juices Kale more efficiently than I expected. Amazon used/like new $99.99 with shipping, and it was never used be for, still in the box. Great vid bro. and great piece of machinery from what I can tell so far.
great video ..I wanted to compare the two units and this video was perfect..thanks for taking the time to make it...I think I will get the elite..I like the stainless look
I have the Elite 800JEXL, and for me it has work very good, specially when I get to juice hard fruits the machine doesn't even compliant, also the Elite is a 2 speed machine and it is recommended to use the low speed for soft fruits and vegetables and the high speed for hard ones, I notice on the video you use the high speed on both machine for all the fruits and vegetables
good vid . concerning pulp - i put it in big bowl with water then pour it into big pot lined with 5gallon size paint filter bag . then lift bag up over pot and squeeze out whatever juice . cant put too much water in bowl or shall dilute juice too much
Please do not let the Juicer get damp. I say that because mine got damp in traveling and would not work again. The tech said that the motherboard could have gone down like in a computer.
Don, We have not had any change in the performance of the Breville Juice Fountain Plus JE98XL. My family also has no had an loss in performance of the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL.
can you put a full apple in there ? i think you can but you didnt do that , can you please help me with this issue, is there space for a full apple to go through ?
My main concern is which one is easier to clean, no matter how much to try to clean it, the plastic will always stain, I'm wondering how much easier the stainless is to clean! Does anyone know! Thanks for the video Matt, I really fucking enjoyed it!🤓
I’d rather go to my juice store everyday than have this thing take my counter over and it It sounds like a 747 airplane taking off I don’t think my family wants to hear this at 7am
It takes 20 pounds of apples to make 1 gallon of cider that is on sale for $5 at Giant, and honey crisp apples are $4 a pound. So that would be $80 worth of apples to make $5 worth of cider,&$#,.?.. Leave it to the brother in law to order the expensive one.
Thanks for the great review I was on the fence and this review was I needed. I went with the 149$ model and couldn't be happier thanks again for helping me make a decision.

Marie I just bought the plus! I hope lasts forever! 😅😅
Thanks for the great video comparing both the models. Really helpful for first time buyers.

Omg thanks so much. I was breaking my head with this question...
Thanks for doing this side-by-side review. It answered my questions about which Breville I will be buying.

Lisa Graziano why does the elite di better on greens
Lisa Graziano a tip someone said is to ball up the greens and they will breakdown better.
Wow, this was truly an amazin review. Thank you so much!

Agreed. They should look pretty on counter.
I went with the $150, the balance went toward the purchase of fruits & veggies
This is exactly what I was looking for. thanks! good luck on the juice.
This video was extremely helpful. I was leaning towards getting the Plus. But this video helped me come to a definite 'yes'.
OMG did you just switch the model numbers? They are different shown at :24 and at 2:46 ??? Now I am so confused......
THANKS! This is just what I was looking for :)
This was so helpful Matt! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the review. They are both somewhat of an investment so it's great to see this side by side.
I have the Plus, and it's a PITA to clean, the motor slows down unexpectedly once you get going, sometimes juice or vegetable parts shoot out the gap between the plastics, and the waste chute clogs easily. Going to take it to my mother's house for when I visit, and get an Elite.
Thanks for this...I swear all I heard majority of video this was "That sucker" haha
I am sold on the cheaper one! Thank you. Wal-Mart has it for $135 very excited!!
Just what I was looking for. Thank you for the comparison. I am thinking of going cheaper and if I am still juicing a year from now, and the plus is showing wear I will upgrade then. Thank you again.
Thanks, my boyfriend got the Elite, I am trying to decide what to get for me, very helpful, I think I will go with the plus, thanks a lot!
Using 300 dollar one for a year now works good love the larger chute, quiet
and is the Sage make the same as the Breville make?
Great review. Help me decide the right one.
Its March 3rd 2020......And I say thank-you. Ordered today the JE98XL from Amazon for 126.99 New and free shipping with the longer shipping date.
"Sucker" love it lol.

I'm still stuck on which one to get.
I don't see much difference in the two. My guess is you're paying more for the Elite 800JEXL just because it's mostly stainless steel.
You must be a teacher with those pointing skills! Lol
😂😂😂
why do i love this video so much
I bought a new one, 1200 w, but I still see the pulp is not that much dry, I paid $424 CD,
great video ..I wanted to compare the two units and this video was perfect..thanks for taking the time to make it...I think I will get the elite..I like the stainless look

Thank you; a very nice, practical, review.
how do they handle ginger?
Thanks for your time.Great review
Thanks for the great review!!!
Thank you. This was very helpful.
I'm glad that this has helped you all. Thank you
hey...Is this good for green vegetables /. leafy veggies?
good vid . concerning pulp - i put it in big bowl with water then pour it into big pot lined with 5gallon size paint filter bag . then lift bag up over pot and squeeze out whatever juice . cant put too much water in bowl or shall dilute juice too much
Great video! Thanks!

Thanks dude, great review!
Thank you, great review.
Thank u for this video!
scooped a breville from the goodwill. The key to juicing is do it outside and then just spray down with a hose
This was helpful. Thank you
Don, We have not had any change in the performance of the Breville Juice Fountain Plus JE98XL. My family also has no had an loss in performance of the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL.
How's that shizz taste y0?.. good stuff, or it depends? Have some Orange trees.. was wondering how orange and kale might taste together.
Every time I keep searching for the Breville on Amazon it always shows me the Sage make, Why is that? Don't they sell the Breville Je98xl anymore?
Check bed bath and beyond, Best Buy, or Facebook marketplace
can you put a full apple in there ? i think you can but you didnt do that , can you please help me with this issue, is there space for a full apple to go through ?
Yes you can but most large Apples need to be cut to fit.
Thank you this was very helpful.
you didnt know there was a pit in the plum? WTF?
+mfgunit Thumbs Up yourself.
MegaCasperC Im not just an internet jerk, im an a jerk in real life, so I would not not true to my self to be nice ;)
😂😅😂
Great comparison. Thanks.
Thanks was very helpful....i am going for Elite
Ive heard all breville are centrifugal type, are the pulp dry like in a masticating juicer? I can see lots of foams
Thanks! Very informative. I got the fountain plus too :)
how hard to clean if no dishwasher used
It would be better to see how they performed consistently over a few months to compare. If Matt is here, can he address that? Thanks :)
Does anybody count how many times he says suckers? I wonder....
Asom review thank you for this , was very helpful full
Matt, do you know how to sharpen the blade? My Elite seems to be producing more 'wet' pulp than before. Ty
Thanks 🙏
Quite informative, Thank you for this review. You simplified my decision process... Eat to live!! :)
Very helpful review..ty
Thank you!
You should've cut the seeds out of the apple too. Overall though, this is a good comparison video
is the elite cold press/cold spin technology?
I’m not sure
Thanks. nicely done!
This video was very helpful
Excellent review!! I'd love to see a follow up review after one year.
why do u push tamper so slow
Great presentation. This will be my first juicer. My choice will be the $150.00. Thank you.
I have thses models , you press the rest of the pulp with a desktop apple press.
thanks loadsss!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great review and would have been even better without plastic bags and that pulp just going in the compost.
My main concern is which one is easier to clean, no matter how much to try to clean it, the plastic will always stain, I'm wondering how much easier the stainless is to clean! Does anyone know! Thanks for the video Matt, I really fucking enjoyed it!🤓
good video
Thank you.
Big Help. Thanks for your video.
All in all not a bad presentation, but lose that dang spoon. Beyond irritating.
XD XD
I love the spoon pointer. It adds character!
i kinda like the tapping lol
:)
what the fuck did he say at 9:00
OVERALL - ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED JUICING CARROTS - YOU CAN MAKE A CARROT CAKE WITH THE PULP... - KEEPING IT HEALTHY
I sure was wondering bc I love carrot cake
i love the breville
Need to compare these side by side daily over time. in order to complete a concise review i.e motor and external durability.
👍
Facebook marketplace, these things depreciate faster than a Mercedes s clase
Maybe the peel does matter. I actually burned mine out. literally. It was smoking. lol
stainless would be nice to clean
Those are the same. The only difference is the price. Thxs
I’d rather go to my juice store everyday than have this thing take my counter over and it It sounds like a 747 airplane taking off I don’t think my family wants to hear this at 7am
😂😂😂😂
