    To make clean up easier I line the inside of the pulp collector bin with a plastic grocery bag. I leave it there to dump the pulp that collects on the inside top of the machine which I scrape out by hand. Then you can just tie the bag and the pulp bin is usually pretty clean. If you are going to set this thing up you should probably plan on making several days worth of juice at a time. Pint sized Mason jars are good, or even clean reusable plastic containers. You can use leftover pulp as garden compost after it breaks down.

    What a great review! Very thorough!!
    As someone who has owned this juicer and also a Breville juicer, I definitely recommend this juicer as the best value. This juicer really does perform extremely well (especially for the price)!

    I just bought the black version at Walmart for $50. I thought it was not that easy to clean the first time I used it but I learned a few things. I lined the pulp container with a plastic grocery store bag which eliminated most of the cleaning effort for that part. I put the rest of the parts in the sink with hot water immediately after I stopped feeding the vegetables into it which made cleaning easier. The screen is best cleaned under warm running water with the scrub brush. It did a pretty good job extracting the juice, and the pulp was rather dry, not too wet. I tried putting kale through it between apple chunks, but I think it spit out some of the kale leaves without really extracting anything. Still on the learning curve.

    Used my HB juicer just now. I had traded a bunch of items from my garage sale for this juicer. I used, from my garden, tomatoes and sweet peppers. It is great!

    I get free fruits and veggies from my local grocery's dumpster, so not extracting the maximum juice from the produce is OK with me, but I wish it would preserve nutrients as long as cold press juicers do.

  • @ninjabacon8824
    @ninjabacon8824 9 років тому +1

    Great video, I just have to ask, why do you need to turn on the machine before putting in the produce?

    • @bestkitchenreviews
      @bestkitchenreviews  9 років тому +1

      NinjaBacon88 If the juicer is already on, there is less stress on the motor to process the produce. If you add the produce first and then turn on the motor, it would put a huge amount of stress on the motor and it might burn out. Hope that answers your question! Please subscribe for more answers :-)
