For 5 years I was a General Manager of a hotel in Knoxville, TN. I would "escape" to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg every chance I got. I even met Dolly and her husband in the local Golden Corral in Pigeon Forge. She was a basic and very normal person. Love these shows, Pea. Thanks for doing this American Adventure with Pea. I travel for work and every time I'm in the area during the winter I stop there. Not for the tourist stuff, just because you get really nice hotels at an unbelievable price. But during the summer? You need a bigger wallet.
Last year I drove over the mountain at night and checked out the multi-million dollar mansions in Gatlinberg and it was amazing. Of course I would NEVER do it again. That mountain is freaky at night (not to mention the snow).

The ball thing looked like fun. Ripley's used to be a TV show years ago. It's always had some strange features.
It has thousands of weird exhibits - I spent the whole day there 👍❤️

The Zorb with water greatly increases the safety of the rider. I was glad to see you hadn’t gone into a dry one. Your happy expressions and raw enthusiasm are so fun to watch. I especially enjoyed your dancing…you have some moves, Pea!

Zorb is a trademark. Anyone can throw some water in there, but they have a nice course. The dry ones are usually for running around like a hamster on even-ish ground.

i just remembered an amazing experience i had as a kid going to a place called Medieval Times. it's a dinner theater with (obviously) a medieval theme. I don't think you'd be able to record the show but if you go near one of their locations it's a great experience

Morning Pea! I did indoor skydiving there in Pigeon Forge, and stayed in a cabin on the side of the mountain , it’s a beautiful area and fun to hang out there, enjoy your stay there!
There’s just SO much to do! I looked at the indoor skydiving too! 😊👍

We always stopped there every summer on our camping trips before it was developed. It was a charming small town similar to what Telluride and Jackson Hole still are today.

I love abZorbing the information and fun in your videos. Glad you kept the camera rolling while in the inflatable ball. Once upon a time, there was a down season there, but not much, anymore. Fall and Christmas are busy times, too.

Glad you got to enjoy Zorbing. Zorbing is actually a copycat of what we did as kids. We got the largest inner tubes from construction equipment and got inside and went down hills and it was very accident prone. A few of my friends did get injured. Of course one of the guys Dad's was a heavy equipment operator and he gave us patched up tubes no longer usable for the equipment . You would get very dizzy and had to avoid the tube metal point of inflation. Most times we had it end at a beach or lake. Always in the summer when the grass was higher and soft. Now today everyone has to pay for things like Zorbing. We figured out how to do things for free as we were poor. You would really enjoy sleds, discs or toboggans going down thousands of feet down large hills or mountains. In the winter you can do this close to Gatlinburg at the ski resorts.
Oh I sure would love to have fun in the snow!!! 👍👍👍

We would sneak into small ski hills with big tubes and mangle ourselves in the winter that way. Cooking spray guaranteed speed and injury!
@@smashy_smasherton Glad to see we were not the only ones doing it. You lubed yours up to get some great speed. Those big tubes were also great at the beach as you could fit 2 or at most 3 couples on one and enjoy some romance in the sun. It was also a great way if single to meet girls at the beach when you brought one. For some reason they all wanted on those big tubes. Once balanced you could enjoy for a long time. I remember having to tie it down on the top of my Datsun station wagon. Did you ever take it on some small white water like the Nantahala in North Carolina

I'm going to try this for the third time, anyways I love your videos and I love how you are an ambassador for the Filipino people and the country of the Philippines. I also like the fact that you are in what will be my adopted home state and about 53 or 54 days, as Tennessee is a beautiful and welcoming State and I believe it's part of the South and but you're in the Appalachians where the Scots Irish are and there's a little different you're in a touristy area but still Tennessee is a very beautiful state especially the eastern part where it's it's more old fashioned traditional.
There are different people from east to west Tennessee? I bet I’d need a decade to see all the places and people in the US 😳👍

Every state has its own quirky fun, and they're all proud of their strange attractions. And, of course, there the regular attractions, as well.
I like how you're showing these places not only to your Filipino followers back home, but you're also opening the eyes of your American viewers to what's available in their own backyard.

It's funny. Americans can be strange about the attractions that are close to where they live. A lot of us don't visit those places, and I don't know why.
When I was in the Navy and was stationed in Orlando, I never went to Disney World or SeaWorld. I never went to Daytona Beach. It wasn't until I was out of the Navy and back home in north Georgia that I started making the long trip to visit those places. Maybe living near such places makes them less special. I don't know.
But because my grandmother didn't visit those places when she lived there, either, she regretted not taking advantage of the chance while she had it. So, when I took her in to care for her, I took her down on one of my trips so that she could go to SeaWorld and Disney World. And since she enjoyed that so much, I took her on some of my other trips, sometimes just driving around because she enjoyed it so much.
A thought occurred to me this past Sunday. I know that a lot of Filipinos are very religious. I don't know if you are, but I just wondered if you've visited any churches while you're here in America (other than their parking lots, lol).

I had the privilege of visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg during a two journalist "mancation" circa 2013. We fished, we threw out the first pitch at a Smokies baseball game, we rode AV's (mine flipped over on top of me) & we hiked The Smokies.
