Great review on The Wood Grill Buffet. I often go to The Wood Grill in Harrisonburg VA. I have never been disappointed in anything they have on their buffet. The place is always packed, so right there that should tell you something. Love your videos.

I think you hit the nail on the head! Hit it early and bring a coupon! I could see myself going there doing what you did. I bet some of the complaints come when it’s super busy and it is hard to keep up with the demand as far as the not stocked complaint. Without the coupon I think it’s a hard pass for me. As usual an excellent job and well presented video!

My family and I were there this past week. The food was terrible!! Everything was cold you could definitely tell it was sitting for some time. I'm not a very picky eater, but I also believe it should not matter what time of day it is the food should always be fresh and hot especially for the amount of money I spent. They also have add-ons I got three platters of the crab legs which I thought would be good but were terrible as well. Not worth the money and not worth the time. The cracker barrel right next to it would have been a way better option. On the other note thank you guys for your videos I did watch some of them before coming down there they were helpful.👍
I agree with you should have been hot all day. That’s why at end of video we said not sure what it would be like later. We try to go first thing when they put items out and it’s full. For our trip it was worth 13 bucks each with drink for what we got. Saw they had add ons but didn’t get or show them because of this being about it costing 13 dollars each. Glad our other videos helped you. Hope you tried the Pottery House it is so very good and a ton of food for the money. 😎😎
@@jbinthehills Some people just don't know how buffets work. You never go unless they are busy unless they are just opening, you never go in between meal times or during meal change, and you really never go before close.

Have to be honest, I think it’s great you do go to places that get mixed reviews. I thought the video was honest, the food didn’t look bad.
If you think about it , two or three pieces of fish, two pieces of chicken, five or six ribs that alone is twenty five dollars , not including sides.
It’s a nice alternative to other places.

Would you do a review of captain Jim's seafood buffet love your videos you do a wonderful fair review and want to know how captain Jim's stacks up
David that is funny you ask. When we filmed this one I went in Jim’s and looked at Buffet. It looked fair and it was around 25 dollars with no crabs legs with crabs legs I think it was 50 if I remember right. Read reviews online and they were terrible from Jim’s. We have almost done it twice now but the reviews are so bad that’s why we haven’t done it. We would spend around 65 dollars with tax and tip for it. If the reviews get better we will try it for sure I promise because I love seafood. The reason we did this one was because of coupon and would only cost us 25 dollars plus tip. It was worth 13 each with drink 😎😎

TBH, of all the videos of buffets you've done, this is bigger (seems so anyway) than any ever! I think (unless it is dirty or there is a temperature problem or they don't fill things up) it has to be worth it. If the food is terrible, I see, but it looks like it has to be at least decent from first glance and it looks hot. Such a variety of foods - I have never been to a buffet that had that much and such a cross-section of types of food. I would eat my way there all day if they didn't kick me out. LOL Even without the carving station! I know it seems like a lot of $ without the coupon, but in reality, I have been to tiny "fancy" brunch and buffet places that are much more. Thank you so much for taking the time to walk it all the way through! You always treat us the best - you both are such wonderful peeps - the best couple and YT channel of all! I always look forward to your videos...

There was a line to get in the restaurant on the weekend and most restaurants are going to be busy unless it's off season. This buffet is waaay better than the seafood buffet by Dollywood Lane.

Hate when people complain that the food is cold at a buffet, when it's usually the people that go in at like 9pm before the restaurant is about to close that are complaining lol.

Surprisingly good. Definitely a profitable tourist corral, and yet it works well enough despite quantity over quality, where redundant items could be paired down. The people who wrote negative reviews probably showed late and didn't simply ask for a dried out line item to be refreshed, or if they did, it was too close to closing.

That buffet looks really good to me with a lot of food and I think it's a real bargain with buy one get one free. I'd like to try baked spaghetti because I never have before and I like all pasta and meatballs. I usually eat mostly meats on buffet because that's how you get your dollars worth and I think salad and a lot of other things on buffets are fillers that are cheap for the restaurants.

I worked at a Golden Corral and I can tell you this some of that food is not fresh even if you get there when it opens whatever food was left over from the other day they reuse it to get it out same thing with the cakes you don’t know what’s fresh or not

Don't ever dip anything into a chocolate fountain. I found out that at the end of the night they have to strain the chocolate from the chocolate fountains because there are dead flies. 😢

Puts me in mind of a Shonies buffet. I did notice that John's chicken wing had a pin feather on it and I wouldn't have that but that was a super good price 😊.
For the price it was worth it including drink but not worth the 25 dollars without.😎😂

Yes a lot of it’s straight out of can but for 13.00 including drink it was worth it for price. I wouldn’t pay full price but use coupon😎😎
Excellent video, food looked good to me.. Did you have to pay for the coupon book? I haven't seen a coupon book in years. They used to cost $25.. but they were good for hotels and restaurants..
This was a travel book that was free with Brochures around town. We found this one at the Old Mill before entering restaurant. Just in the one we showed you book not found in any other book. Other books it’s 50% off extra meal not 100%. 😎😎
