I don't understand German but the UA-cam auto translate seems good as the narrator speaks very clearly! However this is the only video on this subject I have seen where the tie rod end is removed. It doesn't seem to be necessary to complete the procedure so I would appreciate it if you could say why it is done here. It is also the only time I have seen the measurement taken of the distance to the wishbone and the bolt tightened up to the correct torque only when it is in operating position. In another video it says to replace the wheel and lower the vehicle to the ground before tightening it, but this would make it more difficult to reach so I guess your method is better. Thanks for the tip.
I think there is a small mistake on the video. The measured distance, about 63 mm, was measured before the vehicle was lifted up, right ? Therefore, at the end, the bolt shall be tightened when the vehicle is lowered to the ground and not in lifted position as shown on video. In lifted position the distance is more than 63 mm. But I do not understand German, so maybe I missed something. Anyway, thank you very much for the detail video. I will soon do the replacement by myself and consider it is very useful.
Das Lager wurde doch nicht im 5-7 Grad Versatz eingepresst, sondern gerade. Sieht man doch bei 6:10. Ich würde das Traggelenk am Radlagergehäuse rausdrücken und die 3 Schrauben unten in Ruhe lassen, sonst muss man Spur und Sturz neu einstellen lassen.

Hi, I follow your instructions but I hear a loud noise in straight line when I hit a hole on the road, and I noticed that is a little bit stretched when I look from the back side, what do you think, I mounted them wrong or is the bush, is febi bilstein and I bought them with the lower arm.
Hi, Thank you for reply, I checked both parts they are ok, the noise is very bad only when i hit bumps and before I changed the rear bushes was not like this. I noticed that when I look at bushes they look a little stretched on the exterior side. Do you thing I put the 4 mm mark on the wrong side of the bushes??? When I did it on the right bush I put 4mm from middle to left and on the left 4mm to right. Thanks in advance.
The marks are so ok. The bushes are thus turned on the outside 4 mm down. Maybe the front socket has slipped? When the wishbone (Querlenker) touches the console, there are also terrible noises.
Weil man das immer machen sollte wenn man am Rad gearbeitet hat. Auf dem Bild sieht man sogar dreck. Oder willst du ne Schmierspur auf der Bremsscheibe haben? ^^
Das ausziehwerkzeug braucht man nicht unbedingt. Hab ca 35 min pro Seite ohne das Spezial Werkzeug gebracht. Man nehme eine Stichsäge 🙃 und danach radlager Werkzeug 🤷♂️
Ich fette den Querlenker und das Lager ein. Manchmal flutscht es mit etwas Gewackel rein und manchmal muss man durch das Loch im Querlenker mit einel längeren Werkzeug etwas hebeln.
Auch 8 Jahre später immer noch das beste Video zu dem Thema - Danke!

Ich bekomme den querlenker nicht mehr in das Lager, keine Ahnung wie ihr das macht
Ich fette den Querlenker und das Lager ein. Manchmal flutscht es mit etwas Gewackel rein und manchmal muss man durch das Loch im Querlenker mit einel längeren Werkzeug etwas hebeln.
@@kevhavoc1734 hatte reifenmontierpaste genommen… Silikon Spray geht auch 👍
Hab den Fehler gefunden die neuen namenlosen querlenker sind 3.5mm dicker..
