Instead of painting the nightstand to match I decided to go for a bold pop of colour. I asked YOU guys to help me choose and your choice was overwhelmingly YELLOW! So here we go.

I find it funny that yellow was a favourite. I dislike yellow and orange colours for the most part (I do like very pale, lemon yellows) but it is a MCM piece and that era loved its dark yellows and oranges so I guess it’s an appropriate colour. Whether I like the colour or not the piece looks 100% better than it it. Bravo.

So adorable 😍 💖 I always think how lucky you are to find these pieces on the side of the road. I finally found 2 vintage wood benches with backs and cane webbing next to a dumpster at the veterinarians office. My husband came with his truck and picked them up. Now I'm working on them.

That appeals to my perfectionism. I have seen many videos where people have great ideas but don't finish the job well. You turned a grotty neglected piece of furniture into a beauty with the yellow colour. I would buy it. That's my internal test. Would I buy it? Its a big yes because I can see you really took care. Everything you do comes out beautiful including this nightstand. I think the squares on the drawer naturally lent themselves to painting each a different color like a gradient of yellows or all different bright colors. I also would have used glass knobs.

Great choice of colour! When you said "yellow", I had visions of an insipid, cold baby-yellow kinda colour, but this is lovely: it's rich, buttery, warm - almost like an ochre yellow! Gorgeous! And the knobs work very well with the style. Great work as usual!
