Sometimes, it's fun to do something just for the pleasure of creating. You can't always make it about the money. Doing something just because you wanted to is like taking a breath of fresh air. Good for you.
For many DIY and hobbyist woodworking, there is a huge tendency of us (myself included) to rush the finishing process after spending so much time cutting, sanding, and assembling projects. I am very happy Katie took the time to go back until it was done right! It was kinda inspirational in a way to see that she took her time and did it right even though it cost her in the end. Good job Katie!
I love how this turned out. I especially love that you didn’t rush the process. You continued to evaluate your project at each step and made adjustments as needed, even if they would take a lot of time. Thanks for reminding us that creating art is often a time-consuming process. But, it is so worth it in the end.
A great way to speed up having to cut lots of pieces in the same length is to attach a stop block to your saw. Just like you did with the painters tape, if you clamp a scrap piece of wood there instead it's fast to butt the wood up against that instead of trying to accurately align it with the tape. Love your channel!
You never loose money when you rescue a piece of furniture from the landfill. It's a win for the ecosystems and the right for the next generation to have a much healthier environment. Love what you do. I will try my spray gun this summer
I had the exact same thought! Was going to post it but then I saw your comment. She must have some really cool things in her home. Would love to see them!
Sometimes the creativity is the gift and the expense is secondary. Really love your process but more so you honesty on the process. That’s why I watch your channel. Well done
You’re amazing and so is the dresser list it for $600/700. It’s more than worth it. Ask and you shall receive. The amount of time and care you lavished on the piece is priceless.
Whoever gets this will get a work of art and love. Sometimes that “itch” just has to be scratched. I’m amazed how you saw what that dresser could become. Wonderful
Katie Scott you are an inspiration! My favourite furniture flipper on UA-cam by far ❤️ I love the way you are not afraid to show your mistakes and your re-evaluation at every stage with solutions for issues you come across. Thank you xxx
Amazing. Love your honesty. I wanted to run out and try this . I know this style is trending now but I’m not a fan of it. I still love the old antique furniture...painting ,refinishing or repurposing.Nothing can compare to the beautiful wood and details that the old timers took ....So much pride in their workmanship
Okay first, the thumbnail for this project is hilarious! It’s a stunning transformation, Katie. I don’t know how you can sell it after all the effort put into this one. The fluting and the pulls work beautifully together. You’re my favorite!
Awesome transformation!! LOVE LOVE LOVE what you've done! The drawer pulls are amazing! You set the standard on furniture painting and flipping...GREAT JOB!
Very profound commercial for a book on audible. It reminds me what my grandmother used to say, "we are all broken, we meet each other to find all the many pieces that fit together to fix the brokenness".
This was absolutely beautiful. A work of art for the soul, not for the money! Keep it for yourself or gift it to a relative or dear friend. I can't wait to see what is next in your basket!
I ❤️ all your pieces, Katie... but, I think this is the most amazing transformation, yet! Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on such a beautiful work of art!!!
So glad you added those final thoughts! I kept thinking, “good Lord, That’s so much time in detail work, Will she make any money on that bad boy?” It sure is beautiful but boy oh boy, I bet you spent at least 10 hours on that! Another inspiring lesson. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
A great example of how being deliberate and intricate in the prep steps can make all the difference in the finished product! This turned out so gorgeous, I hope you can find a buyer that appreciates how lovely it is and how much love went into it and you can make at least a bit of profit. Regardless, hopefully it helps you gain followers, grow the brand and gain partnerships to make up for any lack of profit.... very well done!🔥
Great rebirth for this piece, Katie! I suppose, that's the way God felt on saturday evening, looking at his work: it was not easy, but it's worth it! 😇
Stunning Katie and love ❤️ the color you chose. With the minor adjustment on your labor, I still think you did well! I also loved the pulls you chose 🤩❣️
Mrs. K- I am speechless, this piece is awesome. I’ve binge watched 22 of your videos today. I love China cabinets would you PLEASE redesign a China cabinet???
I admire people who have the courage to take creative risks. And I like how you edit details on furniture so it looks more cohesive and refined. I enjoy your work.
Katie, you are such a talented and beautiful woman. There are only a few people on UA-cam that are at your level. The style of furniture that you do is what I love. I have learned so much from you. Can't wait to try what I've learned.
WOW! I feel like I should be paying you for this lesson. This was a whole masterclass on flexibility and creativity. I love how you addressed the many challenges of this piece.
Katie, wow! It looks fantastic! Even though it cost a lot in materials and labour, I wholeheartedly agree that you needed to do this. If it's any consolation, you saved it from rotting in a landfill 👍

Dearest Katie... .. . ... I am utterly verklempt!! lol I can't believe the piece you started with is now this beauty. I hope you make oogles of money! 🌷🌷🌷
Great tip to fill the cracks with the caulking. These little things make the finished product look so much more refined. I also love how your music is not overpowering during the video! I hate having to mute and unmute because they blast the music when they stop talking. Please don't ever change that haha.
This piece is so beautiful. You are very talented. It’s so entertaining to watch you create such beauty out of trash. Especially when you’re a little out of your comfort zone. Very inspirational!
Wow Katie! Not for the feint hearted hey! Even if you did take a hit on this piece there are still so many positives to take away from this. Truly gorgeous 🥰
My sister told me to watch you and I'm so glad I did, you are multi talented and this dresser is a stunner, we get to see the edited part, tedious work this dresser is so high end.
Sometimes, it's fun to do something just for the pleasure of creating. You can't always make it about the money. Doing something just because you wanted to is like taking a breath of fresh air. Good for you.

Wow! This dresser had a split personality but it is so gorgeous now! This was a labor of love.

A work of love Katie. The furniture dresser says thank you for a second life. Lots of work but giving it a new fresh look created a huge difference.
You never loose money when you rescue a piece of furniture from the landfill. It's a win for the ecosystems and the right for the next generation to have a much healthier environment. Love what you do. I will try my spray gun this summer
