This video came at a pretty good timing because lately I've been considering making a police sergeant my career goal. I used to work as the supervisor for the mobile patrol division of a security company, and the main reason I enjoyed my job was because I could be there for my crew and help them if they needed it. I had leeway and I was able to run the shift as I deemed fit. Being the on-call supervisor for night shifts meant I was the one to answer any and all calls at night for both mobile patrol and static sites. Lot of work, but I enjoyed the responsibility and the authority to be able to help everyone out. From rearranging workloads to make sure everyone else could go home on time, to sitting at the hospital for 3 hours with an angry mental patient, to being able to make the call to tell my guys double up with partners for dangerous sites.
I work at a private security company that operates like an auxiliary police force. We have standing posts, and patrols. One weird thing for us is that LTs check reports, do scheduling, and are ultimately in charge of the watch. We are fairly small though, so it isn't like I have more than a few reports in any given day. Totally agree with you on the social aspects. Sad. Keep working hard!

You should make a video where you talk to other states and get common info that people would like to know about that state for the most part. Like a video per month or so. At 11:58... Not even a, "Let's be careful out there...."? :)
I still see alot of the officers in my home area still hang out and communicate on and off duty
The not not doing things together after shift is not only a police issue but fire and military. Not to mention the everyday roll be it building or even insurance.
You should make a video where you talk to other states and get common info that people would like to know about that state for the most part. Like a video per month or so. That would be really cool to see. And get plenty of videos to put out. You have that communication style that would make it very informative. Great video as well and I always catch ever one of them. And caught up with all your past videos. My favorite channel by far.
Can't imagine what is like to be an Officer in Minneapolis. I live about 5 miles south so I guess that's a hope skip and a jump for a mostly peaceful protest.
I am so fucking happy your back lol thank you.
It’s funny if you imagine Echo being like one of his buddies instead of a dog 😂.
Great video ! Thanks for coming back . ❤️
Oh I know I know pick me.......Answer: They supervise.😂😆😂 I want a heart Mr 401.
😂😂😂
I like your pfp, ooh my childhood...😅
Violate rights by having there henchmen do the work then throw them under the bus when they cant cover i up
@@cadenbrau8661 he has said in one of his videos, that police should not be held personally responsible.
@@joshcollins2997 yes then if you do that it gives incentive to be a bad cop because no repercussions get rid of qualified emunity ill support the police
@@cadenbrau8661 I think cops should be personally held responsible. That immunity gives them free pass. Just like the cop who shot and killed the kid walking away from the gas station who had head phones in and who did not stop when the cop told him to. No weapon was found and the cop had no charges put on him.
Gotta bring us all back together.
Police officer or not.
Together we're better.
Take your time dude, we can wait.
Congratulations on your promotion! You remind me of another cop that I know in my town that also deservedly made Sargent recently.
I was so excited when I got this notification
Hey officer 401 just wanted to say thank you for all the content. You have made my decision easier in deciding to go to the police academy after college.
YES! An upload by the one and only! Awesome video again :)
@Andrew ?
Hello
@Andrew good
I can already tell this is gonna be a great video
It’s crazy one day he might make an announcement video talking about how he is the newly appointed captain of his police department
Welcome back 401!
Yesssss!!! I've been waiting for a vedio. Love this channel so much. ❤
My dad flys for his department so although he’s a captain he gets to be in the air which he loves
My department is very small, our rank structure is
Officer
Corporal
Sergeant
Lieutenant
Chief of Police
Finally a new video.
3am in the morning and I read the title as "What do Police Survivors do?" Damn! Going to sleep after this video because my brain is shutting down.
Would love to see a car vid. Just for nostalgic reasons..
Man I miss those
You should interview a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement cop AKA: the D.O.T. cop.
It would be neat if you reviewed what it’s like as a new Sergeant to take incident command over critical incidents (shootings, homicides, fatal collisions, etc.) - just an idea! Love the content.
Love your content. Stay safe out there brother and God bless sir.
Sgt. Sgt. Sgt.!! -J. Dewitte
SGT OF THE YEAR
That's an interesting question. I've been a big fan of your channel for a while.
I tell my folks I will not Micromanage until you ask for it
