Just discovered this channel. Didn't skip a second of this whole video. Beautiful delivery & presentation. Kudos to you, sir. I love HK's skyline and would love to be able to stay at Rosewood.
Great review. We love the Rosewood HK, beautiful decor and view. Perhaps we were unlucky, but the suite we stayed in had a bad smell, brown stains on the carpet, and animal furs on the sofa. The reason for this is that dogs and cats are allowed in the rooms. Next time, I'll inquire if there is a pet-free floor.
Very sorry to hear about the issues you guys had. Hope they were able to move you to another suite and recover from there. There are for sure pet free rooms and I think they may no longer be allowing pets as well. Hope your next visit will be much better!
First of all, this video is stunning - I love the way it's shot! I cannot wait to get to Hong Kong and stay at the Rosewood. It looks like a perfect experience.
Love this new format! Always eagerly waiting for a new YT video to drop. Stayed at Rosewood HK a few months ago as well and it has ruined other hotels for me 😂
I can understand your pov and fair enough. But it's how good my stays have been. Would be the same if I made up negatives just to avoid people thinking is a sales pitch. But I guess maybe it is in fact an ad as I actively recommend Rosewood HK to my clients. And I can make a commission from ANY hotel. I get your point and thanks for sharing! Just to note: I think I still spent around USD 40,000 on my recent stay at Rosewood so it's certainly not an influencer deal or anything like that.
What's your job and how much you earn? I wonder what kind of job can let me spend USD 40k just to stay hotel. Watching your video really show how poor my fucking life is😅
@@待明歌 I run my own Luxury Travel firm and guide my clients to stay at the best properties across the globe. But people do like their lists :)
Just binge watched all your hotel reviews. We’re visiting HK right now and walked by Rosewood on our way to Fortnum and Mason. We enjoyed our time at the MOHK but now I’m convinced we have to stay at Rosewood 😮
The sun is the biggest luxury feature amoung luxury features. Give me a beachside room in Indonesia for $500 a month. Luxury caps out at blue water and sunsets.
I fondly remember our stay in a club grand harbour view room at the brand-new Rosewood HK in May 2019, and I was blown away by the hard product. We never visited HK since then due to the protests and Covid. Is this your favourite city hotel? And of course, I will book a room through you next time for a sweet upgrade ;)
NICE!! I recall feeling the same during my Mar 2019 visit. This is for sure one of my all time favorite city hotels. The other being Aman Tokyo. Hope you guys can make it back to HK soon. It really does feel very normal again. Like in 2019.

Haha thanks so much! Very kind of you to share and I agree about the poor quality of the Aman Kyoto video. I left it up so I can look and see how bad it was and the need to always make progress.

Eagerly awaiting more of your uploads; such high-quality content is a treasure -> (In terms of style, color palette, and tone, it's a bit reminiscent of Justin Tse's videos - meant entirely as a compliment, of course)
Thanks so much for the very kind feedback!! Still many improvements needed and will refine. Justin Tse's videos are fantastic and another league for sure. Have a great one!
looks quite promotional to me. Stayed there once. I had not complaints but my roomate didn't like the service. he said there are issues with the details of the room. He also noticed that the back alleys of the worker's area were quite messy (with dishes placed on the floor of the corridor) as he was able to have a peek because the door wasn't closed properly.
It's expensive if you're new to Luxury Hotel. But very cheap/great value if compared to similar level of hotels in Tokyo, Paris, New York and some of the big markets in the world.
@@billinsf88 Obviously the exact dates will matter as there are low and high seasons. But as a general range, the Harbour Corner Suite probably goes for USD 1,700 - USD 2,200 per night before tax. I then upgrade my clients to the Grand Harbour Corner Suite. Which can sell between USD 1,900 - USD 2,500 per night before tax. Depending on dates. Monthly stays are cheaper if you're staying in the Rosewood Residence but it's a slightly different product.

@@haotang fantastic. First came across you when you did your video on Aman Hotel. Will drop my details via your website. Look out for one coming from a family office. Look forward to more great content. 👍🏾
Just stayed there last night. Most overrated hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Location is horrible. Very inconvenient. Room is so so. Bathroom sinks look very cheap and get dirty easily. Bath water was very hot but shower water could only get to lukewarm at best. Could hear my neighbours having a casual conversation. Wooden toothbrush made me gag. Only single amenity was skin lotion. Headboard was cloth which is disgusting. No desk for working. Breakfast restaurant was so cold it makes the food frozen within five minutes. Service is great but NOT worth the price.
Oh and I might add…easily the most insane mini bar prices I have ever seen. It’s just so ridiculous that I can’t even imagine rich people using it. Most disappointing by value hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Stay at upper house if you wanna spend this type of money or the club floor at the Pullman (for value)
Very sorry to hear that was your experience! You should definitely let the Rosewood HK team know about your stay/experience. Can't speak to the Holt's Cafe for breakfast as I always and my clients stay in a Club Room or Suite with Manor Club access. But Holt's Cafe was always fine in terms of temp. when I visited for lunch. Curious, what are some of the hotels you've stayed and liked? Aside from Upper House and Pullman.
All the issues you stated suck, but calling the location "horrible" is a major exaggeration. Rosewood is literally located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui with many malls, transport services, and even legacy hotels like The Peninsula right beside it. I wouldn't call it "horrible" by any means..

I have stayed at pretty much every 5 star hotel in HK. Pullman gets my value mention because the location is great, and if you book a club room you can basically have breakfast, tea time and unlimited hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer at night. The Rosewood Grand Harbour Corner Suite runs like $3,000 USD, so I am more of a value picker for 5 stars because I would never pay that much for a hotel room (although Upper House upgraded me once to a suite, which was the nicest room i have ever stayed at in Hong Kong).
@@haotangAnd serious question because my girlfriend and me were honestly wondering...are those holes in the blackout blinds on purpose to look like stars in the sky? Of which was another one of my whiny gripes. Blackout blinds should...black out.

You're absolutely correct that the origin of it is in fact Portuguese.
