I carry with this type of holster and find that putting the setup just right of your back pocket works great and conceals very well. I find that you can wear it all day long driving, walking, sitting, bending and the list goes on without any problems. not only that, but if you are in a situation where you have to draw, it is easier to get at it than having to reach in front, it is just like going to retrieve your wallet. I show this to my CCW students as one of the better ways to carry.
2:55 - "You never want to point the gun at any part of your body or anything you're not willing to destroy." - *proceeds to demonstrate how to shove loaded gun down pants*
@@forensicwow1639 ... You do know he's demonstrating how to carry a loaded firearm down the front of your pants, right? Of course it's not loaded for a demo video, but it's supposed to be, dumbass.
If you try wearing your gun as close to your center-line, I think you'll find it a lot more comfortable when sitting. I carry my M&P shield there, and have carried my M&P 45 Compact there, & find it more comfortable than even strong side carry. Of course, a Shield is more comfortable than a larger gun, but is is doable.
My personal experience with aiwb, if you have the barrel aligned with your belly button rather than off to one side, it gives more range of motion but tends to print more too. AIWB is great for revolvers with the right holster.
I'd like to have a dollar for every minute of time wasted on you tube from listening to people tell me their gun is unloaded while watching them clear it on video, like I have a risk of getting shot as the viewer. I really don't give a shit if your gun is clear or not..
I have the Galco USA for a Kahr CW45 and it works well for me. The High Noon that he showed will need a gun belt, but I can tell you that the Galco USA does not need a gun belt, because I use it with a light dress belt all the time. The holster is supported by the pants, and the belt only is only needed for the J-hook to prevent the holster from coming out with the gun on draw. A stiff heavy belt is not needed. And a light, narrow belt works well, because the J-hook isn't very deep and just barely fits under a heavy 1-1/2" gun belt anyway. You can't do a tactical re-holster with the USA, you must put the holster on the gun, then put the assembly in the pants. The gun must be thin & compact for this type of carry, and I can attest that the Kahr in this holster works well. I disappears under a t-shirt and is comfortable for persons with a trim waistline, like Tim, (and I). Of course, Tim stresses the importance of not allowing the muzzle to cover yourself unnecessarily, however, in practice the gun will almost constantly be pointed at your femoral artery area, (or your "junk"). For me, a modern safe-action firearm with the trigger area properly shrouded in a properly designed carry system does not bother me this way. I also don't have trouble seated in a vehicle because I just shift the position of the rig to cant the muzzle toward my center a little when I sit, and I also make sure to pull up the pants before sitting down. Do the same before bending to tie a shoe. I have also found that I can draw easily from behind the seatbelt this way. For me, appendix carry with the right type of gun in a vehicle is not a problem.
Wearing western boots eliminates bending down. And in most cases simply sliding the holster to the 3 O'clock or 9 while driving solves that. I carry the Taurus TCP in a vinyl hip holster with the metal clip removed and a spare magazine rubber banded around the holster, slid down comfortably in my western boot. The holster may get sweaty, but it fits well, doesn't print, and I can safely draw the gun without getting close to the trigger. I often carry IWB on either side at just forward of the 9 O'clock or 3 O'clock position while driving, then I'll slide the holster forward into the appendix when I'm out walking.
Big fan of appendix carry. I started with these soft types, but then a few years ago switched to a kydex holster specifically designed for AIWB by Concealed Carry Concepts. I like the absolute rigidity of kydex. The comfort when sitting isn't a problem for me with a G19 in that holster. G17 doesn't work though.
I've tried to carry like that and you're right it is very uncomfortable trying to sit or lean forward and also I just couldn't get over the fact that the end of my gun was pointing right at my nuts
leon- i carry the sig p938 prob. the best size for cc, its 9mm and is basically a baby 1911, ( if you dont already know ) it fits the appendix carry so well, hardly know its there
If you work with it for a while you can find a spot where it has no discomfort at any point. I carry appendix 90% of the time and really love the benefits it gives especially while driving.
Exactly! I carry appendix daily and wont carry any other way. You have to find the right height for you. I will tell you that you can't comfortably carry appendix at 1 o'clock. He just proved that, I carry at 12:15 no farther than 12:30. . If you sit a lot run the holster higher, or just cry about it being pointed at your little eggs and run it at 3,5,7 or whatever works for you.
Leon: I have Dunlap's & it works just fine. I wear the gun center line, with the top of slide near my zipper. I carry an M&P Shield with no problem. I have also carried an M&P 45Compact that way, with no problem. But the smaller gun is a bit more comfortable.
thanks. I never wanted to to Appendix carry for one main reason and then the whole "uncomfortable" feeling thing....and that's with a Shield. Now I'm getting a Beretta 25 (950)and thought it might be a choice, when I actually do carry this and not in a pocket...Appendix or just on the side rather than 5 o'clock position which I usually carry...we'll see. I have a Desantis sof tuck coming for it
I wear a tuckable but more at the 3 almost 4 o'clock position. Much easier to sit with all day. You should try this holster from Wild Bill's. Bull Hide leather and groove sewn with a piece to keep the holster open to reholster your gun much easier: wild bills concealment
Just a bit of "comic relief"... First you remind us to never 'put anything in front of a gun that we are not willing to destroy' -- like our hand... THEN you tuck the pistol into the front of your pants... pointing at your GROIN!! :P OUCH!! LOL!!
You talk about not pointing the gun at your hand but then show that it points directly at your groin when sitting. Doesn't make sense. We all know it's impossible to keep a gun from sweeping parts of the body. There's no need to even mention it.
Watching your video, it occurred to me that an IWB that makes the gun carry higher would reduce the binding effect. Is there such a thing and have you considered it?
I carry in the Appendix Position but I'm not a shirt tuck guy. I carry CCWs in a leather Stoner Holster single clip IWB which is a very fine Holster. If I have a long drive, I'm taking the pistol and Holster off and putting on my console until I reach my destination. And I would with any holster and what ever Position I would carry in Inside the waste band. Why suffer while your driving 65mph down the highway? LolI can reach in my console in the highly unlikely event that I had too.
I failed to mention that I only own and carry Double/Single Action semi auto pistols. I refuse to own any pistol that doesn't have a hammer and a long first pull of the trigger especially since I carry in the Appendix Position. We can debate forever but a Revolver and a DA/SA pistol is very much less likely to accidentally or negligently discharge than any single action only Striker Fire pistol. Not a drop tempted to ever own a Striker Fire Pistol
that's only two holster there's many appendix and I'm not a fan of an appendix holster I don't think I'm putting it were it needs to be it's a big holster. I just started carrying I don't have a round chamberd at the moment because I'm not comfortable yet with one in the chamber
i hate those fukn J clips. that galco would be perfect if it had a spring steel clip that goes over the belt. pisses me off bc i like that holster, but i hate the J clip
Um, you say to "never point the gun at any part of your body or anything that you ate not willing to destroy." And then you immeadeately point the weapon at your crotch and then your femoral artery?
+LK Campbell if you're carrying a gun, its pointing at some part of your body. When you draw from the hip, you sweep your thigh, when you draw from appendix, you sweep your balls. Which is more dangerous? Appendix is also faster and you have more control of the gun being at your center IMO. Less likelihood that someone will bump into it on your side.
Larry Durocher Pretty easy answer. Appendix carry is more dangerous. Sweeping the outside of your leg or butt is a whole lot better than sweeping your frank and beans and femoral artery, obviously.

I just read this and got all the info before I even watched the video
Thx 🙏🏾 Fam !!!

It wasn’t loaded
@@forensicwow1639 ... You do know he's demonstrating how to carry a loaded firearm down the front of your pants, right? Of course it's not loaded for a demo video, but it's supposed to be, dumbass.
I cringe every time I see someone put a Condition 1 firearm in this position. I wouldnt do it just pointing to the meat of my a$$. Just my opinion.

Probably the best explanation of how the appendix holster works.
Michel Linschoten I like appendex carry fast draw and you can protect it better

I get guys always asking" why do I need to wear a belt?" I tell them the belt hugs the gun next to the body and holds it more snug.

Floyd Burdett has a
A holstered gun isn’t pointed it’s HOLSTERED.
When Driving you can not beat a Shoulder Holster Rig. For fast draw & comfort etc.

I know a lot of people do it. I'm personally not a big a big fan of appendix carry. I just feel so much can go wrong. And knowing my luck it would.
You look like ben affleck
tweed187187 funny i thought the same thing lol

Would it really be that hard to get some actual purpose build, good quality AIWB holsters?
Very informational thanks
That's to close to the growing too for my taste I was always told a bunch of stories about guns going off and people blowing their junk off
I have that same Galco and while I love most of their product's I hate this holster.
that's only two holster there's many appendix and I'm not a fan of an appendix holster I don't think I'm putting it were it needs to be it's a big holster. I just started carrying I don't have a round chamberd at the moment because I'm not comfortable yet with one in the chamber
Sorry, that’s a little to close to the Monster
Women stare at that part of my body. They're always telling me that my fly is open. You know concealed carry , but you don't know women.

MINE IS RELENTLESS FOR MY S@W 640
Velcro shoe "laces"
How would this work for a fat person? Seems like it might hurt
Yes
Nah...i am not fat but with nearly 190pounds not skinny either...works fine for me.
Remember you never want to point you gun to your hand or anything you dont intend to destroy. I preffer carry the gun 5 o'clock no pointing my balls.
guys really should stop tucking in their casual shirts at a certain age
i hate those fukn J clips. that galco would be perfect if it had a spring steel clip that goes over the belt. pisses me off bc i like that holster, but i hate the J clip
Your the guy with a gun the one wants to project the ones you love.
It's him very young.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It's just a glaring contradiction.
What a big girl he is!
"Never point a gun at anything you're not willing to destroy" *_proceeds to place gun on junk_*
Appendix carry is not for me! Smh! Lol!
So go make your own video.
Appendix carry is dangerous in my opinion.
IMO since apex carry causes the gun to be pointed at you, apex carry should be avoided.
No.
Thats why i carry right above my right ass cheek
A Glock 17

I disagree with you as I already stated up above, but alright
Larry Durocher what do you disagree with, the final choice or the reasons for making said choice?
This looks awful. Super uncomfortable. I honestly dont understand why people appendix carry.
You guys all holster reviewers always are thin young people! It would be nice to see a fat old man or woman do 1 with a good holster? Think about it?
And weather or not appendic holster?
If you're going to show us that the weapon is clear, why don't you do it right. Not once did you visually check to ensure it's empty. Amateur hour.
