    Perfect. I took a rubber washer, made a cut and slid it in place and tightened it. I did not have to remove all 3 bolts and the seatback. Works like a charm. Thanks!

    Got a new Y. Thinking I am getting rattling from the seatbelts. Tesla has no clips or anything from preventing the belts from flopping around so wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has come up with a solution.
    So far, I like the technology of the vehicle but not impressed with their build quality and component quality. Things seem to be cheap!

      One of the issues I found was the rear head rests are very loose, and a fix for it is to remove the head rest, put some sticky foam tape down the tube where the headrests slot into, put the headrests back in and this should keep it from rattling about hopefully

    I have a 2022 M3P. It makes a very annoying rattle that’s coming from behind the back passenger seat from the floor of the trunk. Apparently it’s not too bad to remove the trunk liner enough to look up near the top right corner and see what’s going on. Maybe I can add some material or glue something down but it makes me not enjoy riding my wonderful car so I gotta do something about about it. Any ideas?

    • @modlife
      @modlife  9 місяців тому +2

      There are a few things it could be, but it's most likely something in your subtrunk, or your subwoofer. I found that the amp bracket was rattling against the sub in mine, and made a small rubber pad to fit under it and create space. Given the success of this video, I really need to start tracking all of them down and post more. A simple sine wave generator can help tremendously. I also added a trunk liner from RPM Tesla and intend to install Silex sound dampening mats to a lot of areas that let too much noise in like the doors and wheel wells - balancing sound deadening and weight for a car that i track on occasion is the only thing working against me.

    • @kennethmchenry7583
      @kennethmchenry7583 8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the tips and ideas. As a follow up I removed my entire back seat and found that the bundle of wires that runs the passenger side back seat (as shown in this video) was slightly lose and moving front to back making a large part of the noise I’ve been hearing. A few well placed zip ties seems to have knocked down about 80% of that noise. Next I’ll take a look at the sub area as suggested.

    I have 2021 Model 3 and this is one of the many rattles I have. I also have an annoying rattle coming from the "suede" parts of the doors while driving the front passenger and the rear door behind it are the worse. But if I press on that "suede" part, the rattle stops. I also have a loud rattle on the dash board on the driver's side. Any idea on what these two are and how to fix? My concern is that when I take it Tesla service they will just say "can't reproduce?

    • @modlife
      @modlife  10 місяців тому

      The dash is usually the speaker grille hitting the window. You can put a small piece of felt tape between. The door panels are typically broken clips, so you’ll have to take them off and look - felt tape around the he’s they clip into.
