600 for that? Dude, that's worth it. Rags, no less. They're not the most versatile pickups but my best friend has a Rag bridge in his RG and it's dished out some of the most fun, inspiring high gain tones I've ever played with.
Nickel frets is a major deal breaker for that price. One can buy a Harley Benton Fusion-II Roasted with stainless frets, upgrade the pickups to BKP, nut and tuners and not go abouve $900.
indeed. plus the fusion had just an insanely comfy neck profile! only thing that really interests me on this jackson, is the fretboard radius. No other brands offer such a flat board on a production model right?
@@anotherherodied The PRS SE Holcomb also has a 20" radius fingerboard. Jake's made-in-Japan Titan has a 17" I think and his Indonesian Titan has a 15.75".
I put away my ibanez prestige for a few years and when I pulled it out the fretts were all rusted and I was like wtf I'll never get Nickel fretts on a guitar again
Those riffs man!!! Damnnn!! Your content is so inspiring, dude! I need to practice haha. I’ve just purchased the Ht6 matt blue frost and i can’t wait to play it now! Where did you learn how to play all those riffs, tapping etc? Like, did you learn mostly by ear, guitar pro etc? Thanks, Gareth
I was considering putting bareknuckles and an evertune on my HT6 Pro Series, But I have a Solar A1.6D LTD I've been wanting for a long time and I'm Torn as to what to do 😭
Stainless frets if they are important to you then go Usa. Other than that, go with the overseas model and upgrade. But for me i love and almost require stainless these days, just lifetime perfect frets are so amazing.
I've got the HT7 Pro and was planning to also swap all those parts. After just swapping the bridge (for the Hipshot one) I think I'm just going to leave the guitar how it is. I didn't expect the bridge to have that much of an impact on the sound. The tone became really snappy and I fell in love with the Jackson pickups. Also, I can't complain about the Jackson locking tuners at all.
@@kevinthompsonmusic1435 Not more than the usual small amount of fret buzz that comes with low string height. I had some problems with ringing noises from the stock bridge, though.
I was thinking of 'upgrading' my Jackson Jugg Chlorine you have with gold hardware... is the Hipshot bridge that much of an 'upgrade' from the Jackson hardtail bridge? I like the Jackson bridge a lot (have it on two guitars). Any and all info is greatly appreciated!
I got this same guitar used for $550USD with no upgrades. Got BK Ragnaroks used for $200, and added hipshot locking tuners. Still need to do the bridge and the nut, but it plays and sounds amazing. Tuning stability is actually prefect, even with the jackson bridge and plastic nut, but I'll still upgrade at some point.
Lol still can't believe what a steal you got with this guitar. I live in the states so my mind is fucking blown really. 600$ is unbelievable! Well done buddy, hell you could make a profit on it (if ya wanted lol)
I really liked split inner coils tone. So warm but at the same time snappy and clear. Not overwhelmed by picking sounds. Nice guitar. And as always Keyan pro series.
A little bit more... the USA ones right now don’t go under $4000 if you go and buy a new one. The cheaper old ones were discontinued and the used ones are very hard to find
Hi Keyan... I'm about to pull the trigger on the ht6. And I am going to upgrade everything. What do you think honestly about the Ragnarok in that particular guitar? Thx
I would say that if you can find a USA Juggernaut below $2000 upgrading the pro series makes no sense. Now the point is to find them lol, but i've found couple ones this year in the online market
Drop C? That’s plenty for drop C. If you want to go lower than that though you might want to get a 26.5 inch scale or more. But I played drop B on 25.5 inch scales all the time. Recording might be a pain in the ass but you can increase string thickness to counteract the loss of tension from downtuning. But if you’re getting a seven string I’d definitely recommend a 26.5 scale at least.
Recently installed a hip shot bridge on a pro series HT7 for a friend & it made a difference. I loved the guitar so much. & those pickups sound so pissed off. I love it 🤘🏼
Definitely one of youtube's biggest misha fanboys, but god damn do you do it well dude. How's the quality control on that guitar? I've tried a 7 string pro series juggernaut model at a guitar center and it fretted out past the 14th fret on the low 4 strings & the frets were less than stellar nickel. Not sure if Jackson's QC is very inconsistent or if that was a lemon.
Hi! Can you tune strings to a longer scale on the hipshot bridge than on stock bridge? Or are they the same in tuning of the string lenght? On video it seems that the saddle on the 6th string is moved to the limit
Hey guys. So about a year ago, I bought a satin white HT6 Pro used at my local shop for $499 in mint condition. It was all stock. I replaced the nut with a Graph tech tusq, replaced the bridge with the same Hipshot Misha uses, and replaced the jackson locking tuners with the same Hipshot griplock open gear tuners that Misha uses. Last night for $309 plus tax on Reverb, I bought a brand new set of Bare knuckle Ragnarok pups. No cool covers at that price point though. I'm wondering, has anyone else swapped pups out of their HT6 Pro model? If so, can I use the stock covers that are covering the MM1's to cover these Rags once they arrive? Also, I do all of my own mods. I am adept at soldering and tbh, I enjoy doing it. So no extra money will be spent having someone else install or upgrade for me. All in all, so far I'm in for ; Guitar : $500 Nut: $12 Bridge: $100 Tuners: $80 Pups: $309 So for around one thousand dollars my guitar will have all of the cool bells and whistles. I guess the ONLY thing left to do would be to get the same Hipshot volume and tone knobs that Misha and Mark both use... And if I want, I could upgrade the pots and wiring. But the pots are already 500k pots..... This has been MY personal experience and expenses so far.... thanks Side note: I also bought Marks PRS SE 6 string..... it's amazing! And those Duncan Alpha and Omega pups sound great!

Hey! Thanks for the review - that pretty much inspired me to get a pro series model (which I’ve already ordered:)) and put some Rags on it. Just one little question - what plugin did you use on 1:20? I can swear this is one of your best tones ever (for my taste at least). Is it Nameless again? If so, what IR did you use? Thanks a lot! P.S. And sorry - just one more😂 what cables do you use? Not so long time ago I noticed pretty obvious difference between different cables (surprisingly to me) so I’m wondering what is the choice of yours:) Thanks again!
I got this guitar and I have changed pickups for BK Ragnaroks and the nut fr Graphtec. I did it by myself, so no labour cost involved, only the cost of parts. And I love this guitar. Of course, the USA model is a high spec, but honestly, the new Pro models are great value for the money. Even with original Jackson pickups, which are pretty good on their own (Misha was involved in designing them as well). Also, the original bridge and tuner, yes they are not as fancy as hipshot or Gotoh, but they are good and they work fine. If you making some basic upgrades you ending up with great, comfortable, good sounding and good looking instrument for just over a 1/3 of the price of the USA model. It is hard to beat that.
Do you remember wich graphtech nut did you get to this guitar? I've got the same in frost blue but the nut on the 1st string are on bad position (the 1st string get off the neck when bending)
