Great tone. Really impressed with how tight and solid the low mid response is, and how articulate the mids are in general. I’m gonna get a set of these for my ltd. thanks for the demo.
Excellent review, I just installed my Juggernaut bridge last week and am super impressed with how good it sounds and the range of tones I have available now compared to the old pickup.
I want bare knuckle juggernauts to replace the Tone Zone and Air Norton in my Ibanez prestige Rg652ahm. Does anyone know if this just happens to fit in the dimarzio cavities or do I need extra routing done? I'm not very knowledgeable with these things so I would be grateful if someone who was to let me know, thanks.
masonmecrazy96 i was planning on doing the same on a similar guitar. The tone zone & air norton already sound great. Not sure if it would be much difference. Have you switched yours. If so, how did it work out?
What's your opinion on BKP Nailbomb in LTD MH1000? I'm doubt between Aftermath and Nailbomb, I want more body and bass on the bridge pickup, I really miss that in seymour JB.
Hi Simon, very nice review. Very useful. The structure, cleans, rithyms, lead and finally in a mix...perfect to have an idea of the real sound of the pickups. Thank you for your time doing. It has been very useful form me. I want to buy a set of Juggernauts and this video, has brought light to my questions. Keep rocking friend.
Hey Simon, I like this vid! Currently checking out new pickups for my ESP Horizon (stock JB and 59 in there) and these Juggernauts sound really nice. What were the stock pickups in your LTD and would you recommend the Juggernauts? Thanks!
Thanks Jeffrey, i also had the seymour duncan JB and 59 set but I thought they were too 'hot' and screamed out high frequencies, something i didnt personally want. Highly recommend the juggernauts though, they are incredibly balanced and great for dynamic attack in picking. Cheers
what would you recommend for a really warm deep sounding pickup? Im kind of new to after market pickups and want something nice and warm sounding, dark even!
I guess its a real balance with the particular woods used on the guitar aswell but all the strats with single coil pickups sound real warm and smooth, maybe look into some single coils?
Simon Desmond what if his guitar is a HH configuration? I think that's what he meant. Agood choice woyld be a PAF overwound alnico 2 pickup such as a Seymour Duncan Custom
Would these be considered high output pickups? I have to drive my amp with a tube screamer and I know high output pups would benefit the high gain chug as well as attack.
Not necessarily I used to play Duncan invaders and thought nothing could ever sound any better...that is until i got a tube amp...the laney ironheart actually. The invaders are one of the hottest pickups i know of and sounded amazing through everything and anything solid state but son of a bitch do they sound like shit through this amp. You certainly do what you feel is best tho man i just wished someone would have warned me that hot pickups dont always sound the best through every tube amp. I believe the invaders have a dc resistance of nearly 17k ohms whereas my new emg h4 is barley pushing 13k ohms and it sounds 10000 times better. Also get yourself an overdrive pedal and a noise suppressor if you dont already have them. i use the Maxon od808 and the boss ns2 and they will seriously take a tube amp thats already incredible and turn it into something orgasmic hahaha
So happy to see these work well for killswitch, perfect! So I just placed an order for a juggernaut in the neck and a ragnarok in the bridge. In theory they will work well to me, but maybe Im wrong. An expensive experiment... Im hoping for articulate rythms with that smooth neck pickup playability with the juggernaut and strong powerful leads with the ragnarok plus some nice strong palm mutings... We will see.
Oh, just a SUPER expensive thing called Axe FX..from Fractal Audio. If you've got over a grand sitting around you can maybe get the the first generation. They're on Axe Fx III now. Way too fucking expensive. It's disgusting really. We would LOVE to hear JUST the pickups dry. To get a REAL understanding of how they sound before any effects. Fractal Axe Fx would make a drowning cat sound great. Not ragging on the dude, he plays well and this is a great demo, just not realistic for everyone else who cannot afford such great processing equipment.
using it through an AXE FX 2 the amp for the clean tones is called shiver clean (based off a bogner shiver 20th anniversary amp) and the distorted amp is a FAS 6160 (based off Peavey 5150) and then that is running through 2 different cabs 4x12 German cab and 4x12 Citrus V30. Hope that helps :)
James Cassidy yeah! They have a very distinctive overall mid range tone which I personally think is amazing as it's very easy to tweak amp settings / EQ and get a great tone very quickly!
Finally a solo guitar review with a guitar that's in tune and properly intonated!
Jason Rightler finally not some guy tuned down to G, and running it through a computer program lol
Check out Lundgren Black Heaven
Hey you have that Ltd sounding amazing man, great tones. Far beyond the emgs it came with
Position 2 and 4 are single coil only or parallel/series bridge+neck singled?
Great tone. Really impressed with how tight and solid the low mid response is, and how articulate the mids are in general. I’m gonna get a set of these for my ltd. thanks for the demo.

I have these in my agjle septor 7 and they are amazing, they annihilate my 7 with SD Nazgul sentient set great pickups
Good review buddy! Appreciated.
the best test of the pickups on all youtube; thanks for do this video correctly
I will say that i'm not much of a metal player at all, but the cleans on the juggernauts is unreal and their response to dynamics is incredible.
Every demo and review should be like this! Thank you, man! Very very informative

great video by the way!

It's all subjective man. Subjective adjectives. Try different things and find what sounds good to your ears.

I want the same as you, I’m leaning towards a high quality Les Paul

Sweet! Sounds like a pretty cool combo, the rags are really high output and very hot! Lemme know what it sounds like!
I have a ragnarok and even without a tone pot I find it kind of dark
Dang man your tone is impressive. I have the juggernauts butts don't get that clean. What did you do to get them so clean.

Cool pickups and the sound is great. Please answer, what set of strings did you use in this video in the C drop order?
think it was 11 - 56, thank you
Nice playing dude
beautiful guitar, man!
The best sounding review
I have a juggernaut i one guitar and looking to one for an other guitar OR a Lundgren M6, can't choose. Tried M6?
WOOLgum Weird. I was literally considering buying one juggernaut and a Lundgren M7 as my two pickups and then I stumble across your comment.
Jordin Sloväk I still haven’t decided. :)
Juggernaut is very nice! I was thinking about posting some examples some day soon.
very very good test
Awesome video man
Nice review man. Strait to the point comparison, I like it!
thanks mate glad you enjoyed it!
what speakers/ output are you using?

killer dude! do you find these pickups sound scooped in the mids more than most pickups?
James Cassidy yeah! They have a very distinctive overall mid range tone which I personally think is amazing as it's very easy to tweak amp settings / EQ and get a great tone very quickly!
cool, thanks for the feedback! Im trying to decide between a few different bareknuckle pups!
Was that a little zelliack?
same shape chords i think, god i miss that band haha
