  • In Part 2 of our Alberta (Canada) trip, we camp at Dinosaur Provincial Park, our ultimate destination, and enjoy stops at Vulcan and Wyndham-Carseland Park enroute. We have an amazing visit to Dinosaur Park with our van friends, Alix and Pete. We enjoy walks on the numerous trails, visit the museum, see some spectacular sunrise and sunset views, and have some wildlife encounters. The Badlands trail lives up to its name, as we almost get caught up in a big wind storm during our hike.

Dinosaur Park is fascinating! To walk where those amazing reptiles/animals dominated many millions of years ago must have been quite a feeling. Wonderful episode!!

🙏 It is a wonderful place…do plan on a return visit, perhaps with a few stops at one of the other areas in the Badlands as well!

Interesting area, looks very isolated, great to see though. Thank you.

Actually not too far from larger cities, but out on the prairies, so definitely it feels more remote. Part of what we enjoyed!

We were just at Dinosaur a week before you! Great job of covering this gem. We did a few of the guided tours and they were worthwhile. The Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller was also very good, with a great display of various dinosaurs and good interpretive materials.

It is a wonderful place to visit! We didn’t get to do a guided tour on this trip (either full or not offered that day), but would like to next time.

Happy to see you had some nice weather in Alberta, dinosaur park is very magical haven’t been there in a couple of years. Watching your video has given me that desire to go visit 😀. Here in Calgary we have had cooler temperatures and rain, hopefully it replenishes some of our water supplies after our water main break.

We actually saw someone’s photos of the park and that led us to visit. Loved it as we noted! And do wish your water troubles end soon!

We were at Dinosaur about 7 years ago and the mosquitoes were a nightmare. Hope you took the park bus tour. It was a highlight for us. Hope Miki's leg is better. Nancy

Sadly, no tours were available the days we were there (either full or not happening that day). And yes, the leg is fine!
