Danzig - Sistinas
Danzig is like goth Jim Morrison with an unending supply of creatine and whey protein shakes for blood.
Yes! I've ALWAYS thought he had a similarity to Jim Morrison too!!!
Yes. His vocal performance always reminds me of Morrison and even something in his face also.
The way he sang the word "mother" in the same song always reminded me so much of morrison.
I've always thought this and had many people tell me they don't hear the resemblance. I'm glad I'm not completely alone in this lol
Good comparison. I love Danzig and Jim Morrison too.
He jacked. That's an understatement. He was actually offered the role of wolverine before Hugh Jackman and turned it down after meeting with execs because shooting for a year wasn't possible with music schedule
Danzig is the only guy that is 5'3 who can look physically intimidating lol. Love Danzig, this song, and your reaction! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
him and wolverine
Been listening to Glenn, everything from Misfits to Samhain to Danzig and his solo projects like Black Aria albums.... I dont care what anyone says even their low points in career are better that 90% of the rest of the stuff out there in recording industry today...
Glenn Danzig was originally supposed to play Wolverine in the movies.
One of his most under appreciated albums of the mid 90s.
Yes!!
who is doing this appreciation?
Mid 90s?
@@Dmena373 yes high school child. This song and album was released in the mid 90s.
@@mrpogo72 in 92
John Christ so underrated as a guitarist, if you ever get a chance to check out his solo album "Flesh Caffeine", go for it, its really good
Man, I just loved his sound with Danzig, count it among my favorites. I never could get into Flesh Caffeine and yet I really wanted to.
who is doing this rating?
@@sellersgarner
Haha, with all the over-use of "underrated", I never thought about that.
Eerie Von and Chuck Biscuits are also hugely underrated.
I remember on the tour for this album in Seattle back in like, 95 was it? John Christ was having technical issues with his amps. Got to see a few songs played half way or all the way without the guitar. It still sounded amazing. Danzig was like, F*k it, let's just play until he figures his shit out! He got tired of starting the song over when the guitar crapped out. It was epic. Eerie Von is soooooo good on the bass.
@@captaindred342
I wouldn't call a drummer who played in that much legendary Punk bands underrated.
so for the last like 2 months I've just been on a huge danzig kick lately, revisiting my first metal love from when I was young, and I was like... does anyone react to these songs? Bro. I wish I wasn't 2 years late. So glad you enjoy Danzig's music and Glenn's voice
this album is amazing start to finish.
100%
Maybe their best effort (Lucifuge is pretty damn awesome)
I saw Danzig on this tour in 1994, and the one before it on the 'Lucifuge' tour in 1992. Danzig early 90s concerts were absolutely fantastic. So primal and raw.
I always loved his band members' names: Chuck Biscuits, John Christ, Eerie Von :) .. they're like a blues band turned metal
There was a kid in my sons scout troop that they all called chucky. The scout leader called him BISCUITS. The first time I heard that I was like whoa that’s deep lol. I was like yo no one but me and you get that reference and he laughed.
Chuck biscuits was the drummer for the punk band doa for years he’s an amazing drummer
@@activedelirium I’m surprised he was never in Gorilla Biscuits with a name like that.
That huge throne in the video was and I assume still is in his house and they had the idea to use it in the video. It's German, 14th or 16th century I think. NOBODY gets more sound out of a basic 5 piece than the legend, Chuck Biscuits. Also, this was the first album Glenn didn't write/control almost everything and let John Christ show off his chops a bit. And he has some major chops! I've been in the front row at 6, original line-up, Danzig shows. My favorites!
Love these Danzig reactions, keep them coming, he's way underrated. Amazing vocalist and songwriter.
people may disagree with me, but, you should check out Glenn's latest release. Its - Danzig Sings Elvis. the production is gritty on it and the songs he does are some deep cuts from Elvis
I saw Danzig twice.
In 94 with Suicidal Tendencies and Metallica at the Allentown Fairgrounds in Allentown Pa.
Than in 95 headlining with Korn and Marilyn Manson at the most unlikely venue ever for this show the Kirby Center in Wilkes Barre Pa.
Both were amazing concerts.
I was at the concert with Korn and Marilyn Manson here in Louisville, KY. Saw him at an early Ozzfest and at the 25th anniversary concert. He played a full Danzig set and then Doyle came out and he played a full Misfits set. He sounded amazing did Blood and Tears and kicked ass
I HIGHLY recommend the song Dirty Black Summer, or Snakes of Christ, from the album Danzig II: Lucifuge
One can not be a Danzig fan without being Under Her Black Wing
drunk viking here........ i needed this while intoxicated. love ya man.......
"He sings like an angel, but look s like he'll beat your ass!" Hahahahahahahahah, made my day bruh.... :))))))))))
I remember buying Danzig II. Vanilla Ice was the #1 guy at the time.
check out BODIES by Danzig. POWERFUL vocals!
Anything by Danzig is kickass. But I really feel the first 4 albums were the best. Although he's had so many great songs since. You can't go wrong with Glenn Danzig. Keep rockin'....
Agree about the first 4 albums. My least favorite is Blackacidevil but Ashes is one of my favorite songs.
Blackaciddevil blows
I’ve been dying to see someone do this. Awesome shit.
I appreciate your appreciation of Danzig absolute Bad Ass, Faster Horses Older Whiskey and Younger women
ahh the Evil Elvis! Danzig is a song factory, so much stuff he's done.
best of Danzig 😊✌️
You need more Danzig in your life, bro.
Very powerful song. Love John Christ's pinch harmonics in the heavy segments.
In the early 90’s my buddies and I went to every Danzig show that came to town. I even caught a snare drum skin with the set list written o. It. The drummer threw it out.
I’m going back to my high school days when I saw them live in 95.
Korn and Marilyn Manson opening!
@@armlegx YES!!!
@@Erica-jv7ze That was a great show, although I think Marilyn Manson stole it. I was like who is THIS guy?
They kinda freaked me out . I never could get into them. Personally, I preferred Danzig and Korn.
I came to see Danzig and prefer his music, but Manson, like Rob Zombie puts on a spectacle.
I really enjoyed seeing you enjoy this masterpiece of a song.
I just came across the song and was blown away. And was also reminded of Jim Morrison. And I then went to watch the video and was also like wtf he is jacked.
Glenn Danzig was in the band, Misfits before going solo. If you think Glenn is'jacked' check out Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, who is in Misfits. Doyle claims to be a vegan/vegetarian (?) also.
I think you'd really enjoy his song 'I Don't Mind The Pain', and the video is pretty cool to boot.
You are Suuuuper symphatic! Thanks for Your reaction! 🙏👍💪🤘
Glen trains Jeet Kun Do and Muay Thai so not only does he look like he'd kick most of our asses, he actually would lol 😂
always been a die hard misfits fan (danzig era only), but never cared much for samhain until they turned into danzig. once they tightened up and focused, things really clicked. those first 3 albums in particular (esp danzig 2: lucifuge). killer stuff.
Glenn Danzig always sounded like how Jim Morrison would have if he decided to be a crooner in Vegas.
Finally! I found someone reacting to this song! Awesome!!!!! Loving your vids! 🤘
Danzig back in my day would question how how dark your soul was willing to search to harmonize the external with the internal... Music searching had a vested risk and was a journey
Happier
Thanks to this dude for adding singable music for all us bassists out there. Better than the Tenor stuff
If you really want to explore one of Danzig's greatest performances, it has to be the song, 777.
The mosh pit to this song is something to behold.
Wow I didn't know he could sing so softly! Sounds old school.
One of my favs. In concert this is fucking amazing!
I love all of Danzig's work, but this album is one of my all-time faves.
Now you getting in my territory.
"I knew this shit was coming" lol!
Danzig is great!
This song is great, but hearing it live is on another level.
Danzig- dirty black summer best song
Probably one of the top examples of a good Danzig song. Most are good though.
Love you for your reaction! You want to hug him and run away from his looks and voice at the same time
My favorite song is a blues: she rides!!! Listen to that completely different
That is also my favorite song. It's got an awesome groove.
Looove Danzig!!!
Your reaction was on point.
Big guns, big riffs
Love your reactions. Even if you don't do a reaction on video check out Bringer of Death. Listen to the lyrics. Amazing. Love you my brother and many blessings to you and yours.
You sir have and brain: props for using it. Love the commentary.
Great honest review! You got a new fan!
Danzig's idol was Elvis Presley, you can in his singing.
Danzig was a BILLY BAD ASS
I've sung mother at Karaoke but didn't know about this song and devil's plaything
Those are my next karaoke challenges.
Gotta do reaction for "Bodies". Also do reaction for "Brand New God". Both by Danzig. Just awesome!
Wait until you hear “blood & tears😍 It used to be the ringtone on my pager voicemail back in High School 😂
Awsome to see people exploring new music.. I hope to see you at the next metal concert i attend.. We need more brothers and sisters at the shows..dont be affraid we white folks are friendly at metal concerts i promise 🤘😂
Lol. \m/
This is a good one luv ,luv Glen Danzig 👍
This is mind blowing. Lol. It’s great but first thing I thought was this was lovemaking music. If I ever did a dirty movie, this would be in the background.🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
Tris dude knows his shit
I met the band they are my musical heroes
Check out some Samhain or early Danzig era misfits the whole range is crazy
DANZIG🤘!!!!!
If Elvis and Jim Morrison had a baby...?
And a shout out to H.R. Giger.
such a BANGER
A great song to check out is Lilin way different
Glenn Danzig, A.K.A. Glenn Allen Anzelone, from Lodi, NJ.
At 5'3" he ain't beating anyone's ass.
You're so DAMNED COOL
CLASSIC
Lucifuge is a good album
The Misfits - One last caress.
Great video thanks 💖😁
Half God
half demon
The evil Jim Morrison strikes again!! Dirty Black Summer is another great song by him!!
Evil Elvis
great review
He's the dark Elvis or at least that's always how I looked at him
Since nobody said it yet, Danzig was slated to play Wolverine in the x-men movies before they hired Hugh Jackman
I remember that! Mid 90s, like 95 was when i heard it.. i would love have seen that.
Omg that brings back some memories lol I love Danzig's music and think he would look like a good Wolverine but I'm glad they went with Jackman 😅
Misfits. that was his band before he became solo
No that's Samhain.
Misfits->Samhain-->Danzig
Anything Danzig is so good. Huge fan of his. Also the misfits sounded beautiful and looked so bad ass too.
Can you do one on Ozzy and Lita Ford please.
I saw him in the 90’s
listen to "Wicked Pussycat" it's almost a rap metal song by Danzig
Danzig for evaaaa!
Hellvis! 🤘🤘🤘
Great commentary
F.U. Want The Power..Would you let it Go!!! Nuff Said!
Check out Danzig - Do you wear the Mark
first time i saw danzig was on aqua teen hunger force
Yo if he was a superhero his name would be captain Ready lol
