Glenn Danzig doesn't get the mainstream respect he deserves for his talents as a composer and lyricist. No doubt it's because of his obsession with death, the occult, Satanism and everything dark and spooky but that stuff can still be beautiful. The first four Danzig albums are amazing! I hope you two choose some more songs from them.
I find peace in darkness oddly. But I’m a very open minded and laid back individual. I’m very amused and intrigued by all things that are dark and scary. Doesn’t make me a bad person. Makes me see both sides and actually get involved more into deeper conversations about it. Where there is dark, there is light. Where there is light there is dark.
I was thinking about how Misfits have always had ZERO airplay on the radio and they were selling out arenas with the Glenn Danzig reunion shows. That's pretty darn impressive.
Saw Danzig in 91 at a small club in nowhere PA... brought my little brother, it was his first show. Hung with the band on the tour bus after. It was so cool seeing my little bro talking with Glenn for 20 minutes about comic books. Really good bunch of dudes.
@@MrWhatIfYTC I love Danzig more than most. But that album, he dropped the ball. Still own it because I buy all his records but I’d say absolutely not his best

Type O Negative was just an album I bought on a whim. I had a feeling something said this will be good so I got it. This was back in the 90's while I was in the air force. I took it home and listened to it and just sat mesmerized by it. I was lucky enough to see them I concert before he passed. What a loss.

So many amazing Danzig songs to experience but 100% that was the best reaction I’ve seen yet watching Lex is exactly how I feel when I listen to how the gods kill.
Alot of Danzig songs sound like Morrison is on the microphone. Two reasons I got into this band, heavy dark half steps, and a vocalist that sounds like Morrison. This band is what the Doors would have sounded like if they had distortion,a drummer not afraid to hit his drums, and the subtraction of that annoying" Light My Fire" keyboard.
I think Glenn Danzig is the metal reincarnation of Jim Morrison of The Doors, His vocals and poetic lyrics!! Definitely Jim Morrison vibes!! More" DOORZIG" please! hehe!
“Good vibes” ha. Well more like evil vibes. You know Danzig is singing about some dark occult stuff here. I think this is one his best songs. It’s just a beautifully haunting song. He was probably at the peak of his vocal power at this time. Channeling some Jim Morrison big time. I think most fans know / recognize how much he was obviously influenced by Elvis and the Doors. His voice was at times beautiful and at other times he howls like a wolf man ha. Classic song. Try “Dirty Black Summer” next.
Danzig is the nicest band in the world. His whole CD’s are valid 1-10. Nothing like that. The band is powerful and is a true honest vibe. Lex you’re beautiful. Lucky, BRAD!😁
Danzig did more musically with the misfits and samhain than metallica has and thats not even counting Danzig . Danzig put out 7 Bangers out of 10 albums while metallica had 4 . They were good for less than 10 years .
