Ah my favorite part of Oblivion will always be fighting Godzilla as Goku with a laser pistol and then getting on my motorcycle. I mean, who doesn't remember those classic Oblivion moments?

LOL I'm the author of the Saruman's Tower mod, totally didn't expect that to show up. Have you found the staff with 4 effects and the spell that teleports you on top of the tower? And yeah, as I'm seeing it now I think I should have lit it a bit better.
Oh wow I didnt find the staff. I will have to go back in check it out. Despite the lack of lighting it still is a well done mod.
Thank you! I spent a lot of time on the geometry. And I mean A LOT! Jesus, all the memories :D The staff should be right next to the throne, in the main hall. You can switch effects by removing it from the inventory. Also, in the laboratory on the table there's a book that you can learn a spell from. If you cast the spell in the main hall, you'll be teleported on top of the tower.

1:47 I cant tell you how many hundreds of hours i've poured into this game, but the number of times ive been anywhere near this bridge i can count on one hand.
Seriously its such a massive bridge and it's not ever really used. Maybe its just cuz fast travel is so convenient but i've never had to use this bridge or go anywhere near it on any quest

I mean, it's possible. I once made an elf look like the singer from The Rasmus. I was too embarassed to admit it, because he's quite handsome and the elf was supposed to be a bad-looking character. My brain was definitely confused at that point.

The greatest Oblivion mods imo had to have been that one house south of Chorrol (I forget the name, but it was so lush and colorful, and had a little well hideout and all), and the Spires mod with all of those dark, alien looking spindles covered in runes. God, Oblivion modders got so creative.
0:48 I always enjoy that Darth Revan mod. I'm typically under-leveled when I face Revan, so the road from Bruma to the Red Ring Road is now called "Revan's Run". Because I'm running away from him the entire length of that road. Even the level 20 or so NPCs I modded in to travel the roads get slaughtered. I can't lead him to Bruma because he wiped out the town the last time I tried. With a proper build, though, he can be beaten around level 15 or so. With some effort.

It's about $15 on steam.... It's not a demanding game with it being over 10 years old so you should be able to play it on any modern PC.
Jonathan Oosthuis i tried it once but i don't like playing with a KB and mouse. I might try it again though.
You can use a controller on PC. Even if it's not natively supported by the game (I can't remember if Oblivion does though I played it again recently) there are applications that let you plug in a X1 controller and map the buttons to keys and stuff!
I tried that. The right analog wouldn't register, even with 2 different controllers. The wiki's even say it won't work. Only way I would be able to turn the camera would be to use both the controller and the mouse.
@@Sencilia it is so much better with mouse and keyboard once u get it down because you can actually jump during combat, and u can hotkey items and spells to the number buttons instead of the wheel.

I remember seeing a "TES IV: Oblivion HD Remaster" in some questionable game shop. Out of curiosity I bought it (price was like $3-4), installed it and game actually looked pretty good. Well, not that good, but better than Skyrim SE with a few mods. But that was only a small part of this oblivion build, there was a bunch of new races. Biggest part of it was in between my big tiddy draenei character's legs. That thing was massive.
Oblivion is crazy is it is. But with mods? Good god, it's Sheogorath's wet dream xD
I love the immersive weapons mod. I have a character with a pan for a weapon. It makes me laugh, seeing him bash bandits over the head with a pan!

I've been playing this game since I was 7 years old well over ten years ago. Been a while since I played it up until now.
I bought it yesterday again and am enjoying the vanilla version way more than the remastered Skyrim WITH mods. I guess that goes to show how incredible this game truly is.
Ya I bought Skyrim on switch after replaying Oblivion a couple months back, and it was so boring compared to Oblivion so I went back to Oblivion.

You should make a video about making this game look as good as possible in 2018, without mods. Go over how to set up Nvidea control panel options, and what ini settings to change for best graphics without causing more crashes. It might sound like a lot of work but I think a lot of people would appreciate it.

I remember when I first had Oblivion I had so many mods that it took like 10 minutes to load, but one incident I remember fondly was walking into imperial city and seeing Master Chief riding a chocobo and in the corner was Link with his sword, a halo 2 banshee and ghost, some Mjolnir armor, an energy sword, a couple lightsabers, a random assortment of Final Fantasy characters, a random naked dude, and a pirate, who all got pissed off and attacked me once I took off in the banshee. The game then crashed and never loaded again. Good times.
