At this time, you're the only one I follow for comic book style drawings. I enjoy your teachings and style. I guess you're the one all rounded by sharing all the platform tools for this style of art. Bought your pack brushes too. Looking forward for more
This is very informative, especially since I'm trying to make a comic style portrait print for a friend of mine, but I've been pretty rusty, especially in terms of drawing women. On a humorous unrelated note, I can't help but get the urge to blow on the screen to get rid of the eraser shavings.
That’s funny because my computer desk and my drawing desk are the same thing and when I’m working traditionally I’ll draw something then reach to my keyboard and hit ctrl z. Of course nothing happens and it’s such a weird experience .
I'm always not sure how to "use" the circle correctly, i draw it and i don't know what do i need to keep track of, i don't know if i need to put the eye in the middle line that i drew right after the circle or if it totally depends on the shape of the head itself.. But i think i'm getting better, slowly, but getting better. However, excellent video, thank you so much, i've learned i feel things from it :)
Thanks Rob! A big problem of mine is getting stuck on my outline as concrete. So my faces frequently come out awkward. Thanks for really pointing out that we can nudge and move lines around. I know it seems "duh" but sometimes I get stuck that i cant deviate from the outline. So thanks!
#robert_marzullo very nice video! I've noticed that you're making a few on traditional art since a few weeks, and the amazing thing about it is that you do exactly the same lines you do on the PC. i liked this one a lot, my only suggestion is that you could add a note in the title explaining that it is for advanced artists, as you seem to take for granted that all viewers know the Loomis head (that you only mentioned)
I’m learning so much about process and workflow watching you draw, taking your lessons, and hearing you talk through it. Really appreciate it! And upgrade your defenses against those woodland rebels! 😅
Regarding the first 30 seconds - is it showing off? I'm just wondering because I really like showing others my work, even the not so good stuff. And I personally can sit and watch it for minutes and just look it at. So is it really "showing off"? I'm not a pro btw - just a "hobby artist" ^^
great vedio Rob im going to share this , i notice that you change your methods alot why wont you make sevral books 1one on heads and faces all types of methods basically the book would be focas on the head and do the othe books on figure drawing , but with plenty of pages and details , 🤔
It's awesome not al youtubers draw a picture step by step. Very easy to understand....
Those clean pencil lines man..I'm an eraser mark factory, even with thumbnails.

i watched, i followed along, i look at my work..... it looks like art i've seen before, the type that is clearly out of proportioned.

Nice drawing.... but it's easy for u caz your a pro... I really want to know how to draw it so I dont have to use a ruler
So an HB pencil lead is better suited for a sketch pad than for a comic page?
Underrated much?
