    Really impressed by how much information you packed into this video. I love this tutorial because it's not situation dependent (e.g. how to draw creepy male head etc.) but rather teaches fundamental anatomy that can be applied to head drawing in general. I'd love to see a whole series of this approach (hand, leg, etc...) I know it's a lot asking for content at such high quality, god bless you Roberto, may your channel grow exponentially in '19.

    A really great video. I know it's old but it's gold too. Was engaging, and I felt like I genuinely learned something here. I've been trying to draw faces without tutorials and I've seen method on doing it and I've kinda just winged it by literally looking at the methods. It usually works out okay, but this helped me see where I was getting things wrong. Also had a few laughs while I watched, so thank you!

      Hi, Robert! I've been drawing for many years but never had the confidence to feel that I am really good at it. This tutorial has helped me immensely in being better able to evaluate my skills and to realize that many things I've mistakenly thought were errors or lack of skill are only part of the process of the art: it's about CORRECTION, NOT PERFECTION. I see that I've been my own judge, passing sentence for what has not been criminal. I thank you sincerely for sharing both your knowledge and humor.

    I've got to get me one of these things u draw with. I can't flip my image to check for symmetry on paper. If I can't afford top of the line, what would be the best I could get???

    • @ChrisCranham
      @ChrisCranham 6 років тому +1

      Traditional artists use a small mirror to check by standing it vertically next to the part of the image they are checking and then seeing if the reflection looks like crap.
      A lot of pro artists still stick with traditional since drawing on a tablet feels generally worse than paper and you end up with an original piece of art at the end which can be sold, instead of just prints.
      If you don't want to pay the kind of money it takes to get a tablet with a visual screen to draw on, you could get one with a black drawing pad instead, like the wacom intuos range.
      Clayton at the "How to Draw Comics . NET" channel uses an intuos 3 apparently and his art is totally amazing. He even draws in a weird way which should theoretically produce sucky results but he somehow avoids the negatives of the method.

    • @RobertMarzullo
      @RobertMarzullo  6 років тому +1

      You can find Intuos tablets on the market used for pretty cheap. Great tablets! A mirror by the art table is pretty cheap too! ;)
