I started with an interest in drawing anime; however, since watching your videos and trying your techniques my drawings evolved to more realistic comics.
Thank you for your comment Francis. I often go back and forth on styles too. It is a great way to find new things to add to your preferred methods. Some of my favorite comic styles incorporate both Manga and American Comics in them.
Good luck with your art and more videos on the way! 😁

Francis Major same

Sam3 I started with manga
Same here bro, still draw anime sometimes but switched over after reading TWD comics and liked the style more
Mine looked like Harambe before this tnx
TheMamba You’re welcome and happy to hear it! 😁
Now I wanna know how to draw a gorilla torso.
Dr. Love. Just make a chubby muscular torso and don't forget the fur
Donald Mumper me too
Lol
this lockdown thing is a perfect opportunity for me to learn to draw, been watching your tutorials and they are really helpful thanks you're a great teacher 🍻
How are ur drawings now after a year?
i'd say i've improved. this channel's been a great help, other channels that helped me improved are mikeymega and brian proctor. i draw traditional style so those 2 channels are also a great help, go check em out.
"if your lucky enough to have friends..." XD why did this sentence sound so sad,
Yes why
Cause some people aren't.
Ye why
really((
Cos most people suck and most “friends” will stab you in the back.
Always gotta thank Robert for his tutorials!
My pleasure!! :)
@WellFishSticks thank you for giving credit where is due!
Damn really wanted to know how to do this and then this video comes up. Saved
Happy to assist! :)
I have practically learned everything I know about digital art and comic books from you Rob. You explain everything so simply and I hate when you put yourself down. It makes you sound like me Bro but at least I have an excuse. Live long and Prosper Bud and May the aForce be with you.
Dont draw comics but I’m a character design guy and not knowing how to draw a torso is a problem and this video just earned you a subscriber 😎👌
Holy heck. Just getting back into illustration after decades off. My work was traditionally cartoon-y and psychedelic. Never was good at "realistic" and would fake my way through. This video cut through so much and was so right on point. I cannot thank you enough. You have cut through so much future frustration in getting back to my first love. THANK YOU, BROTHER!
Thank you Robert. I really appreciate your speaking style when you are humble and modest when you explain. It’s enough because drawing works the way you sketch and develop the drawing - it tells you everything you need for your skills.
You’re really doing the art community a service with this one, I appreciate it so much! Thank you!!
Not only have you taught me stuff about the neck, but you've inspired me to make my own tutorial! You rock, Robert Marzullo!
Thanks this is my First time drawing comic book style
Thank you so much, Mr. Robert Marzullo!
Always welcome!! ;)
This was exactly what I needed for drawing torsos! Thank you!
Could you do a study of the back muscles? I’ve always struggled with it. Thanks love your work!
Yes I will Nick. I need to add more videos on that topic. Stay tuned and thank you for watching! 😎
Yes! Just found this channel and it's the only thing I'vr never seen a tutorial about.
@@RobertMarzullo yes please this is something I've struggled with as well
Thanks for the help!! Online classes got me in a bad art block, but you are now one of my inspirations!! Thanks!
Yeah. I was improving alot faster and stuff until that. Finally found someone to follow.
Thx really helped me out, I always draw short necks attached directly to the torso
LITERALLY.....I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE A VIDEO ABOUT IT! THANKS YOU MAN! ;D
You're welcome and thank you for supporting this channel! :)
@@RobertMarzullo hi, I recently started out with digital art
I'm interested in drawing cars, horror art and scifi , fantasy etc.
I plan on learning how to do digital painting.
But for now, I want to focus on cars and also learning the human body.
Learning how to draw the human body/anatomy will help me with my horror art as well as all the other art I plan on making.
So my question is, will this 'comic human anatomy' help me out or should I look for a more realistic style?
Btw, I'm using your video on the Lummis method for drawing a head
I know there is another guys method too but I'll end up using both and if I can find another one I'll use it too
thanks for sharing! your youtube channel is so helpful!
Thanks Ben! Glad you like the vids! :)
I learned so much in this tutorial! My necks always looked odd and its already much better. Thank you very much! :D
Thanks! I'm going to try out that torso with my sketches today.
You're welcome and good luck with it!

Thanks for this I took a few years off from drawing and now trying to get back into it and this is the first video I watched that mentioned having fun in the process. I'm trying to figure how to keep everything connected with views I want but hopefully I can draw something from this ....pun intended
Yes now my drawings don’t look like stick men that have a lot of fat
Could you please just do a how to draw a normal guy tutorial. Not too muscular and not too skinny
This dude's tutorial really work.
This is the result of my drawing after following what he said on the video.

I am abit scared, I have JUST had troubles with this issue and have been struggling with it.
Then I found this video.
I see the date and flip.
lol. Happy to deliver what you need when you need it. More on the way soon! :)
so helpful, thank you.
Thanks man, i made a really cool comic of my character fight a villain
So would you like to make a book of drawing tutorials on dragons, mythological creatures and other fantasy folk this fall?
Really strong looks to both men and women (or should I say "Whamen) - ZHC, but anyways great tutorial, easy shapes, not like 3D that most people can't draw. Kudos to you!
God, I WISH I CAN DRAW LILE THIS! I’m 31 now and I go through phases with drawing. And I always give up and stop. Tho, I can make it seem like I can draw. I can do pretty ok Spider-Man head and cartoonish charters but they have no life. I’m good at graffiti but I WANT to draw like this. God damn it! 😩
Perspective the most important thing in comics too...my opinion...
NICE
❤
That's awesome
Oof this really helped when I made my ship version of Days Of Hana from webtoon ;) #Harana
:D you read it to? Can I see your ship please?
Nice
It's easy to understand, even if you have not very good english.
Thank you very much, Robert! Amazing video! I am a paper and pencil dude and wanted to try and get into a digital, can I start with an IPad Pro?
