  • Travel day vlog 2020!!! Are you wondering what flying international during a pandemic is like now? Today we flew for the first time in three months! Oh how we have missed the air and of course airports!! We bring you along and show you what flying on a budget airline from Ukraine to... ALBANIA is like now in 2020. From new restrictions on who can even enter the airport, to a very different airport lounge experience, to getting full body sprayed on arrival (and we are not talking about the torrential downpour). Travel is for sure different now and every time since the pandemic we feel flying is a new experience worth sharing. We hope you all enjoy flying with us and seeing the first sights and tastes of Tirana!! What a fun city!

      Albania is GORGEOUS!!!!! We didnt need covid test at all.. we have been trying to travel to only places we dont need them as of yet cause the cost adds up 🤣 covid test in Albania to go to Montenegro cost 100 euros per person 😳. Definitely a whole new travel expense. Some countries the test is cheaper which is great!! Besides the difficulty of figuring out what restrictions there are and picking a place you dont need a test or quarantine travel isnt too bad.

      One of the biggest challenges about international flights is the amount of connections you have to make trying to go to the destinations. There’s nowhere hear the amount of daily flights right now and with pandemic restrictions you can’t go through some countries or more direct flights are extremely expensive. This is why we went to Albania, it was the only place we’ve never been to that we could take a direct flight to, and we wanted to explore the Balkan region. Otherwise it was a packed flight, pretty smooth and all but that disinfectant spray thing we had to walk through after getting of the plane was completely new to us, we’ve never had to go through something like that prior.

    • @DjusLife
      @DjusLife  4 роки тому +1

      They are actually super clean and they give you disposable shoes for showering! So it’s actually quiet nice :) I love showers and I although I don’t necessarily see a need for showing on a direct flight, Dow most flights have many connections because of the lack of daily flights so for a multi leg travel day I’d definitely always try to take one. On another note, the truck stops and gas stations in the Balkans and in Turkey are so so so much nicer. Than the states, especially Shell. Shell abroad is super fancy, even has a restaurant many times modern and clean. So surprising, make awesome coffee and espresso, unlike US gas station coffee haha

    • @DjusLife
      @DjusLife  4 роки тому

      The hardest things right now is how much restrictions change all the time and even trying to fly ing from Ukraine to any of the Balkan counties had at least three connecting flights with self transfers which we couldn't do as US citizens. We wanted to reduce the amount of travel hours as much as possible and found the only nonstop flight to an open country from Kyiv which was albania so we took it.
