It's so cool how the people took you in for coffee, what a neat experience. And I love how people are so eager to practice English. I'm heading to Italy this year and I don't know how entertained they will be by my attempting the language, but as an American, I think it's so cool! Great vid you two!!😀

I think they will LOVE your effort! When we were in Italy they really appreciated and interacted more with us when we tried to speak the language- especially hello, nice to meet you, pointing at things and saying “beautiful”, tasty, thank you, good morning, good evening. Those are our first go to phrases 😀
When we were in burano (island off of Venice)! We had the sweetest interaction with a bakery owner in his 80’s and our airbnb host barely spoke english outside of Florence and we had so much fun with him as he cooked and told us stories in italian/english haha 😆 more miming. Love that stuff 💛💛 where in Italy are you going??

Can't wait to see your food experience in Gazintep, by far one of the best cuisine in the whole world 😋😋😋

So sorry to disappoint you, but we definitely have to go back as we could only really have takeout and desserts. Sadly we were there during lockdowns and didn’t get to experience the full Gaziantep food extravaganza! Do you have any places there you would recommend? Or any dishes we have to try when we go back?

Coffee in a barber shop...love it! The people seem so generous and welcoming 🥺🥰
That market is so cool, great seeing the people
make all their goods. Really like the shots you got in the market 👌
And yay that the people are receptive to photos and videos! Feels like it’s getting harder and harder to vlog in public places these days 🙈
And again...well done with making the most out of the covid situation, it must’ve been so frustrating with all the restrictions 😭 but you still looked in such good spirit 💛

Those back streets were so cool and it was awesome that they loved the camera and didnt mind being filmed- very different then Istanbul.
Thank you guys for your encouragement- we were so bummed about the restaurants being closed since it was the food mecca but we couldn’t have asked for or planned for better experiences with locals! Thats our favorite travel memories so Gaziantep will forever have a special place in our hearts 💕 and we definitely want to go back!

Thank you! It was cold but we love having such a cool place not crowded and rainy days and a pandemic provide that for sure 😂 we have had fun getting cinematic shots of locals living their lives and the people of Antep loved the camera and chatting with us - even with the crazy language barrier. Such a great place. So glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching and commenting 💛✨ looking forward to sharing more with you guys!

If we get to go to your home country what island do you recommend? Are you in Kuwait for work? How long are you gonna be there? So glad you found our channel and enjoy the videos!

Why am I watching this before brunch?? You’re killing me!
And what bad timing to go there…then!
Turkey seems like a country of night people…which is cool.
Sketch-looking places can sometimes give the best, most human stories. You found some.
And love the way you are finding a plan B.
Bye bye! And how do you spell that in Turkish?
    Baklava Place! Nice restaurant concept!

Enjoying your videos but confused about the time line. Are you in Gaziantep in Feb 2022 or earlier. Planning on trip to Istanbul in March and concerned about lockdowns. Thanks

    • @DjusLife
      @DjusLife  2 роки тому

Thank you so much for such a kind comment. You have no need to worry, unless things change. Our video is behind. Currently there are no lockdowns in Turkey WOOT WOOT!!! I am a medical ICU nurse and I came back to the USA to help with the surge and got behind editing- but these experiences and memories were too great not to share. Turkey is absolutely amazing and if you like food I highly suggest you check out or Istanbul food vlog. The description has all the great places to eat linked and if you eat fish you got to try a balek ekmek from the place tight next to the fish market- we have it in out travel day vlog from Istanbul to Izmir. But the place is linked on the food vlog too. Oh I could talk about how great Turkey is all day! So excited you are going in March!! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out- we have been a few times and LOVE it there. Glad you found our little channel. 💛✨ have a great Monday!

They don’t right now! So amazing, we are a little bit behind on our videos and so they are no longer in lockdown! But like I always have to say if you were planning a trip anywhere make sure you check the most up-to-date information as sadly things to continue to change country to country. We will definitely have to go back to Gaziantep!

But I do believe you’re good! Have an amazing time! If you are looking for any ideas of what food to try or where to eat check out our food Vlog of Istanbul! Have you ever been to turkey before?
