Ohhhh we were definitely a bit nervous but we knew we did nothing wrong and had no contraband 🤣 but having NO is idea what they were saying was unnerving- definitely didnt want to miss our flight. They would LOVE the pods, probably pretend they are spaceships or something 😄
WOAH.. we just flew from Istanbul to the US a few weeks ago, but it was a very different Airport. Y'all, that airport looks INSANE and super nice. The airport we went to in Istanbul didn't even have a lounge, but had meal vouchers instead -- so we just got $10 off a Subway order haha .. not nearly as fancy as that airport you guys went to. Were those sleep pods a little claustrophobic??.. I don't know if I could do it without being able to stretch out a little haha
There are two airports in Istanbul and this one is definitely the pretty one. Hope you get to this one next time! They weren’t too claustrophobic because the cover is so thin and you can hear EVERYTHING outside and there is an opening at the bottom. I actually felt better because it is a very closed off attended area- since the bottom wasnt locked or closed. But I am not a claustrophobic person at all. It wasn’t comfy very firm, but it was lay flat sleep so gave us the little boost we needed.

So interesting to see your travel day home. Nice that your parents picked you up in 2 cars so you could quarantine. Those sleep pods were so cool.

Oh they checked it as we were checking in for the flight just once and then never again 🤣
