You can use the clear coat instead of the caulk. Whatever clear product u used on stairs brush on the tape in corner, dry, then paint the white. Or just tape it good and wet the frog tape to activate gel backing on tape to seal it. First coat of paint go somewhat light then 2nd you're good to go
That's the paint on the caulk that fills the gap between the stairs and the skirt board, not on the stairs. The UA-cam, "I can't do crap but talk about somebody elses work" clowns strikes again!

lol so there is some caulk "with" paint on it on the edge of the stairs. Oh I forgot, you just can't peel that caulk up and...BOOM no caulk with paint on it left on the edges. If you knew anything about painting, green frog tape is not the best tape to use when caulking lines and that is the reason why...but hey you knew that. You haven't painted shit before have you! Home work, learn the difference between actual paint on wood stairs and paint on caulk that will peel right up with your fingernail to expose a clean line. ROTFLMAO!

Acceptable but not the best way and getting up close those line are not laser sharp and are chunky and way over from caulk
