The late Isabella Blow was a fixture on the international fashion circuit. She worked as a stylist and as an editor, but is best remembered for discovering and playing muse to designers Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy.

I don't understand this bitterness towards Lady Gaga. She was clearly inspired by Isabella. What is wrong with that? Isn't it what this is all about?? The ability to truly inspire and influence through your work? This is powerful & rewarding for artists as it is legacy.

Lady Gaga helped raise thousands for the Isabella Blow Foundation in 2012 when Daphne Guinness auctioned some of her clothes at CHRISTIES. Lady Gaga is inspired by her. She isn't claiming to be her. To totally different people but with same love for fashion.

He excluded her from his team when Gucci acquired him, knowing that it would break her. He was extremely damaged and in pain, as people sometimes do, he lashed out at those he loved with brutality. He was in severe mental pain, there is no judgement but we should be as honest about his cruelty as we are about his love and brilliance. We are all human.

Clinical depression. It sucks the meaning out of everything. Suicide is never logical.

Both of them gone too soon, unfortunate they did not have a support, in their lives, on their career to sustain them in permanent strength. Clear, they each had fans, friends and family connection, yet they still had the same end of life story of sorts. A wonder if they had encountered one individual or a different group of individuals at any point in the experience if it might’ve altered/changed the end, for them, prolonged their journey through a different perspective, a positive outlook, if they’d been anchored, rooted in their own inner strength, given a purpose to grasp onto with such a firm hold, they simply could not have been shaken. Each time, it seems the same as that, any time an individual does themselves in/commits suicide. Highest hopes at any point, they found/find themselves resting in peace.

Alek Wek should have been #2
Adut Akech should have been on this list
I disagree with featuring white women (white models) as part of Out of Africa series. It should be strictly Black/African models only.
VideoFashion should have series about Black American models not Black models from Africa or Caribbean; only Black American women who was born & raised in USA Black American Heritage i.e. Tyra Banks, Beverly Johnson, Chanel Iman, Veronica Webb, Karen Alexander, Beverly Peele, Jasmine Tookes, Pat Cleveland, Naomi Sims, and Donyale Luna. It should not feature Black models who are not Black American i.e. Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Winnie Harlow; although the black, they are not Black Americans. The series should discuss how they broke racial barriers from Civil Rights to Now.
