- In Vogue’s latest Objects of Affection video, Detmar Blow and Harriet Verney, the relatives of eccentric fashion editor Isabella Blow reflect on the vast array of art and objects at Hilles House that exhibit Blow and her legacy. Many of them have a connection to Alexander McQueen, whom Blow discovered while he was a student at Central Saint Martins.

Oh this was amazing! Thank you for showing the younger generation just a bit of Isabella her magic. And thank you Detmar!

I still can't get enough of how enthusiastic, unique, and visionary IB was and how loving her husband DB is. Like Leonard Woolf, only more dapper. Love the niece's affect and Freudian slip of Objects of Perfection. Indeed, perfection.
English properties have so much history & personality, love it❤️
Eccentric posh British telling stories at a mansion? Yes, please! I want more.
Absolutely fantastic ! I love the objects of affection series! More more and more please!
Each one is better than the next!
Amazing! I didn’t want it to end. I loved hearing all the stories & seeing everything.
Must be really cold in there, enough to wear a winter coat all through the interview. “I think she’d be looking down shouting “Detmar, don’t be so cheap and turn the heat on!””
A lot of homes in England don't have central heating, fwiw.
@@aqualyraofficial lol almost all do
Gorgeous . I remember in the 90s Isabella did a piece on the house 🏠 and her love for fashion … I fell in love with her
I'm so sorry. But I have no clue who Isabella was? She found Alexander in his school? So was Isabella his lover? Or was she also a designer? I have never heard of her name & I don't understand who she was? But she sounds like a real beauty, and her personality was like quite a talent? And she must have had a bubbly attitude?
Such a watchable video, Hilles looking lovely. Detmar and Harriet make a great double-act!
If those walls could talk. Isabella and her vision will be so missed x
beautiful ending, made me smile ❤ would love to see these two talk more
Such a treasure trove of wonderful things in a beautiful setting. A sort of living museum.
Izzy. LEGENDARY. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this video I've been waiting to watch and wanting to see forever!
Wonderful video ❤ I really enjoyed it! 😊

Wow. Detmar looks great.
It’s giving mad tea party and I love it
These people are a treat.
Wow! We were mesmerized.
I kept expecting someone to make a movie about her. Jennifer Jason Leigh would be perfect!
Coming soon…
I certainly did enjoy it! Thank you

What a bunch of lovely eccentrics
Beautiful
"A great art collector." *Charles I is the greatest British art collector that's EVER lived!!!*
I am in love with the both of them.
Hey they really were having fun weren't they? The inside of yew hedge. Now I must go find one to experience!
Absolutely fascinating - I loved this! (But please retire that weird illegible red font)
Great fun!
Fantastic. Treasures. Most charming.
Awesome ❤️ 🥰
npc
Magnificent house! I enjoyed the video, but would love more detail. Amaury, is that a portrait of Elizabeth I over Harriet's shoulder at 0:37?
He hasn't answered yet but I will. Its unlikely that it is. Elizabeth the First was the beauty ideal so fashionable people would dye their hair ginger (or so I've heard) and obviously follow the court fashion. Its likely some random noble lady.
Wish she was still around...she was a light
Such lovely people.
hi vogue i like all of ur channle sosososos much

Reminiscent of the Royal Tenenbaums down to the coat, blond hair, and cigarettes except they are actually royal.
Omg the font colors is hard to read
Inspiration for Saltburn
Issie wouldn't get out of a car once to chat, in nearby Stroud, because she was wearing denim and didn't want anyone knowing that she was dressed 'normally'
Oh Darling... I thought you floated the boat. Never thought you were married.
This house definitely looks like some famous paintings were painted in it

And still are.
Isabella is these particular type of woman that must have a unique style because they aren’t beautiful. She definitely wears it well.
can anyone tell what kind of etola she is wearing ?
Dear friends
Lets space to,. New life in that great House
Harriet is the cutest
❤️
Madame Bleueu and MqQueen, soulmates.
Why does vogue make everyone say an awkward little excuse to end the video
It's so forced! Just let them exit gracefully!
Is the house heated? They are wesring heavy coats
It is, though in winter only in part and thus an opportunity to wear wonderful coats :-)
I feel myself totally scared about that weird maniquin. lol
Ok … I could go drinkin’ & parting with Harriet…. !
Who is she wearing around her neck?

The Royal Tenenbaums
Мне нужно это издательство☕☕✋🌐📚💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
I can sell this on ebay lol
Delicious...
Cold, they're wearing coats.
Uninstalled lights hanging on walls, sheetrock missing...
For all the beauty, it's a money pit.
Part of the house is bring rewired - wonderful house, as you say beautiful, issie adored it.
🤍
Very English
I love Isabella. And Detmar for that matter but what is with that faux military jacket that he ALWAYS wears?
It’s a Sri Lankan Ambassador’s Coat. Detmar is part Sri Lankan, his , our, grandfather at one time the SL ambassador to Paris. The coat was his. I think it was the coat Detmar was wearing when he first met Issie. Issie liked it and so, apparently, does Detmar.
Not military, though I suppose it could be misconstrued as such.
@@amauryblow3635That’s very interesting, about Detmar and his coat, love Ceylon, such a beautiful country ❤
Wery nise howse 👍
You really need to realize the need for subtitles when dealing with heavy accents, poor sound engineering and fast speakers.
Well I managed to understand everything.
@@milkshake3350 Well, aren't you so very special, Julie!😎
@@hitchhiker_1969 Obviously Richard 😊
I know he said something about turning the heat on, but couldn't she have taken her coat off for the tour?
This is England and a manor ....

She’s wearing a dead fox around her neck! Not cool!!
At all 👎🏼
If you are talking about the niece, she is wearing fake fur around her coat. It definitely is not real fur of any kind.
That is fake fur.
Next time, skipe the dead fox around her neck...
That is fake fur.
@@KissGinaChannel i dont think it is....
It’s spelt skip not skipe
Beautiful
