    The Harry Potter series has been a wonderfully crafted world and story created by an expert storyteller. Rowling sets up plot points that are all wonderfully tied together at the end. It’s unique and magical and for many of us, enchanted and made up our childhoods. The problem is, we have gotten bitter with age, that’s why we are about to take a look at the less magical points in the series and nitpick all the tiny flaws, holes and contradictions that emerge throughout the books and movies.
    We will find 25 different plot holes in Harry Potter and put them under the microscope, questioning if they are actually just down to error or if there is a hidden explanation around somewhere. From plot devices that are used once and never again, weird issues that emerge from certain pieces of magic and a number of high level magical contradictions. Get ready to apparate back to Hogwarts and the world of Harry Potter and get mad at us as we put it all under the microscope.
    What did you make of this list? Did you catch all of these plot holes? Any we missed? Or are we just being nit picky? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to subscribe for all this and more!

    IIRC: There are two types of port keys, one that travels at a pre-determined date and time, and one that travels whenever someone touches it.

    • @Foefromthefuture
      @Foefromthefuture 3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, that’s how I see it. The portkey at the beginning of “Goblet of Fire“ was just lying around where any Muggle could touch it, so it was obviously charmed to only activate at a predetermined time, when its makers knew that wizards would be around to use it. Conversely, the portkey that Voldemort uses to trap Harry is on the grounds of Hogwarts, where there are no Muggles. Not that Voldemort would care: I’m sure, with his level of power, he would be able to create one that activated whenever it was touched by anyone.

    I'm not even four minutes in, and I already have a bone to pick.
    Two things about the Marauders Map.
    1. It doesn't show whoever is within your vicinity. It only shows who's at Hogwarts and where they are at the moment.
    2. Fred and George not seeing Peter Pettigrew's name next to Ron's only makes sense if you make a bunch assumptions about the twins. Yeah, they like getting into mischief, but they don't seem like the kind of guys to spy on their little brother while he's asleep. That just seems creepy. Plus if Ron's asleep, they probably are too because I would imagine that after a long day at school, they get tired and put the map away. On top of all that, I don't think it's an object they obsessively look at 24/7. It seems more like they only use it when it's convenient for them.
    Hopefully the rest of the video is better.

    The largest plot hole for me is the Time Turner. In Prisoner of Azkaban they are allowing a student (Hermione) to use this potentially very dangerous device for the trivial reason of being able to take some extra classes. But as we see by the end of that story it is an extremely useful magical artifact that can be used to go back and alter past events for the good. Yet to my knowledge it is never used again despite there being numerous times where it could have averted a tragedy. Also is it unique or are there more of them? If they exist or can be produced in larger numbers then that seems like a device that would change the whole nature of the magical world and something both good and evil witches and wizards would be using as they battle each other. If on the other hand it is a singularly unique item then it would be one of the most valuable objects in the wizarding world and therefore compounds the absurdity of loaning it to a 13 year old girl just so she can boost the number of courses she is taking in a single semester.

    I think the timeturner wasn't used as means to stop Voldemort because of the risks manipulating time poses. But it presents the question: why in the world is Hermione given the means to potentially mess up time for something as trivial as being able to attend multiple classes. She could seriously mess up things with even one slip-up.
    Even though many people don't consider cursed child canon from my understanding, it alone shows just how dangerous time manipulation is. Been re-read and re-watch deathly hollows, and a question appears about elder wand owner.
    The wand belong to Dumbledore right? Dumbledore, loses possession of the Elder Wand after being successfully struck by Draco’s disarming spell. And the wand ownership belong to Draco.
    Harry Potter becomes Elder Wand owners after physically overpowering Malfoy at the Malfoy Manor. According the story, This is what made Voldermort never truly own the wand, even by killing Snape, who he think was the true owner because Snape killed Dumbledore.
    Now my confussion start here.
    On the story. Harry come to Voldermort in the forbiden forrest, and Voldermort 'killed' Harry. Doesn't that made Voldermont indeed become the elder wand owners?

      well Voldermort uses the elder wand to kill Harry and in the magic world, the wand would never harm its owner so the spell Voldermort cast actually kill the hocrux part in Harry, not harry himself.
