There's a theory that because Harry is part Horcrux that it explained or rather excused their behaviour, but I prefer your theory, I think Vernon acted as a prick to keep his family safe, but then Harry was his family, so yes he's still a prick. 😂

@@Ceracio well it says in the books that McGonagall watched Dudley kick his mum down the street shouting for sweets and yes before Harry even went anywhere near the Duersleys, so whilst I just like the Horcrux theory The Dursleys where just terrible people and terrible people shouldn't have their behaviour excused, but I think Dudley was a better person for trying in the end.

i do came to like Dudly and Petunia... in the book its much more beautiful than in the film, because Dudly came to a realization he was a Bully of Harry and he was actually sad and appologized to Harry because they will most likely never see each other again.
Petunia was the one i was crying when i read her little part. She was actually became vulnerable in front of Harry when she was wondering around in the empty living room and shared her sadness and loss with Harry... when her mother died... not only him lost a mother.... but she, herself lost her sister....
I'm just disappointed she didn't confirm that Hogwarts is be real and many of us may be witches or wizards, but because Voldemort killed the Ministry of Magic, we never got our letter
The Ministry of Magic don't send the letters there's a book and a pen that write the names of whoever has magic but if u don't have enough magic the pen will try 2 write ur name but the book won't let it. I think the school send them so it wouldn't matter if the Ministry fell I think
The Ministry didn't send the letters, if they did, the Dursley's would have ended up in prison for keeping the Boy-Who-Lived under the stairs in a cupboard. You could argue Voldemort controlled Hogwarts at the time.

That's why the word "technically" has been used in that reference. Harry isn't a technical horcrux, even though he possesses all the characteristics of a normal Horcrux. Horcurxes aren't created simply when you kill someone, there's a process after the murder that is involved, it's obvious the said process was not performed when Voldemort killed Harry. Voldemort's soul "latched onto the only living thing it could find" creating what could be called a pseudo-horcrux in Harry.

Dumbledore and Grindelwald weren't childhood friends, they met when they were in their late teens after Grindelwald went to visit his great aunt in Godric's Hollow. And JK has never said he returned Dumbledore's affections.

One Harry Potter theory I always had was Lilly's family was a bunch of squibs and that is why they were so proud and happy to have a witch in the family and Petunia was mad that she was not one as well. So when she had to take in Harry she just knew he would have magic since her sister had it and she married a wizard, where Petunia gave up and wanted nothing to do with that world anymore.
I would love to see a timeline traced back to exactly when Ginny fell in love with Harry. She always admired him but it never was clear when she first fell for him.

Grindelwald got expelled from his old school and then went to Hogwarts where he met Albus it was in a letter that Albus wrote to Grindelwald that Harry found in the deathly hallows. But you are right. They didn’t grow up all their lives together

Confirm what? The theory was that each one of them RESEMBLED each of the peverells, not that they WERE the peverells. This can not be confirmed because J K didn't thought of it this way while writing the series, it was a mere coincidence. She just stated that this coincidence was beautiful.

Whenever Harry went wandering about the castle late at night, he would wear his invisibility cloak. In POA, he goes to look for Pettigrew without it. The cloak belonged to James, and since he was a prankster and was James's friend, we can conclude he knew about the cloak (plus the fact he's been chilling in Ron's pocket basically doing recon for the past 2 years.) Fred and George never question why Ron is always with Pettigrew, when no student by that name exists. My theory is when the Marauders were making the map, they made it so you couldn't see someone when they were in animagus form, so when Peter is going about the castle looking for Sirius, he takes Harry's cloak knowing Sirius would recognize his rat form, choosing to make himself invisible in case he came across Remus or Sirius, but trading that safety for being vulnerable to anyone looking at the map. That's why Harry doesn't see Pettigrew walk right past him, and that's why Harry doesn't use his cloak that night.

Theory of mine: In the book it's often mentioned that Snape's got greasy hair. My theory is that Snape was not dirty man who never washed his hair, but deliberately kept oil in his hair to make it behave.
You know what I realized? J.K Rowling can just say something happened and people go with it
What if Petunia had magical ability, just not enough to get into Hogwarts? She was able to send a letter to Dumbledore and receive an answer (which sounds sort of strange … lots of "weird" letters go through the post and are shunted to the dead letter office). Plus, in Prisoner of Azkaban, it's not clear why the breaking of the glass in Marge's hand and the subsequent blow up of Marge herself didn't trigger an automatic warning from the Ministry … like it did in Chamber of Secrets. Even more telling were the comments made by Marge were against Petunia's sister … and rather nasty they were, comparing Lily to a low bred, dog ("if there is something wrong with the bitch, then there is something wrong with the pup"). At the end of the series we are made aware that Petunia really did love and miss her sister.

The plot of Cursed Child is terrible, but there were a few details which I firmly approve of, and one is the confirmation that if Neville had died before he got a chance to kill Nagini, no one else would have managed to, and the world would have fallen to Voldemort. That means Neville is as crucial as Harry. Maybe they could share the title.

The three brothers could also kind of be dumbledore, his brother and grindewald because grindewald wanted power, dumbledore's brother wanted to see ariana and dumbledore was the smartest one of them, lived pretty long and gave it to his "son" (dumbledore treated and loved Harry like his own son)

To be honest, it isn't exactly groundbreaking to learn that Harry and Voldemort were probably related. Even in our Muggle world with its enormous population, you only have to go back a few generations for everyone to be related at some point (I've heard it said that nearly everyone in Britain is descended from Alfred the Great, and there's an idea that nearly every European is descended from Genghis Khan). If the Peverells lived in the Middle Ages, then that's easily long enough ago for plenty of wizards to be able to trace some kind of descent from them, especially with there being so few wizards around (the fact that one school is big enough to educate an entire country of wizarding children suggests that magical folk have a remarkably small population).
With Harry's dad and Voldemort's mom being from pureblood families, they'd be related in some way. Even Sirius stated that the wizarding families were somehow related.

5:30 i remember one line exactly from the philosipher stone book. When harry was in angle alley he saw some wizards. The teller then lets u know that those wizards are from the black forest which is in germany. So we know from the first book, that there are wizards come from outside of england.
